(GUNNISON, Colo.) — A Gunnison Police officer was arrested on Wednesday night, Sept. 25, and charged with incest after an investigation into allegations of sexual assault on a woman.
According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), an investigation was launched three weeks before the arrest, following allegations that 41-year-old Daniel Huff had sexually assaulted an adult woman.
The CBI said the request to investigate was made by the 7th Judicial District Attorney’s Office after the CBI received a tip of potential abuse involving Officer Huff.
The Gunnison Police Department has placed Officer Daniel Huff on administrative leave per department policy.
