Furious Strictly fans hit out at judges for ‘sexist’ scoring and scream ‘they’ve undermarked THREE contestants again’

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been left outraged by the judges underscoring a trio of talented celebrity contestants.

Saturday night’s performances by Dr Punam Krishan, Sam Quek and Tasha Ghouri wowed viewers – but failed to hit the spot with judges.

Olympian Sam performed a Quickstep to Natasha Bedingfield’s Unwritten alongside pro partner Nikita Kuzmin.

The pair were supported by fans after something “went wrong” during the live show and cruelly undermarked by the judges.

Sam and Nikita earned 26 out of 40 from the judges, which didn’t go down well with fans.

Tasha and Alijaz performed a stunning Tango to Dog Days Are Over by Florence & The Machine, and but only scored 34.

Punam Krishan and Gorka Márquez only bagged 21 points and ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Annoyed fans wrote: “Punam was heavily undermarked there, as she did not make as many mistakes as before, yet got a score of little difference. I think she’ll be in the bottom 2, but it depends on how Paul does with the Samba.”

“Again the women being under marked. Punam, Tasha and Sam ALL undermarked… Jamie and Chris BOTH overmarked,” noted a fan.

“Undermarked yet again #strictly Gorka and Punam,” agreed another vexed viewer.

“So glad me and Sarah had the same reaction to Punam getting a four. UNDERMARKED,” barked one person.

“Wynne being overmarked every week whilst Punam has been undermarked since her Couple’s Choice is my villain story of this year’s Strictly,” penned another.

Craig infuriated viewers, with some accusing him on social media of “not liking” Punam.

Craig told Punam and Gorka: “I thought it was a little bit too social, like you were just going for a stroll in the park without a care in the world.

“It’s true. It lacked musicality, it lacked energy.”

Sam told Claudia Winkleman about her mishap and said: “I’m just so disappointed, because that could have been our moment, and we felt it coming into it, I was confident.

“Something happened which people don’t need to know about, because I don’t want to make excuses, that’s not what it’s about, and it’s just delivering in the moment, and unfortunately, I kind of let the side down.”

Crediting Nikita for always having her back, Sam added: “I’m just so guilty of being a bit of a perfectionist sometimes, and that can be a detriment to me. But you know what? I still enjoyed it.”

Wynne and Katya were the penultimate performers of the night, dancing a Quickstep to Mr Blue Sky by ELO.

The judges were full of praise for the fun routine and he ended up scoring 33, with two nines in the mix.

However, viewers did not agree with the judges and felt they had overmarked Wynne, and not for the first time.

Paul Merson became the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from the 20th series of the competition.

The former footballer failed to impress the judges in the dance-off against JLS star JB Gill and his dance partner Amy Dowden.

Speaking to hosts Tess Daley and Claudia Winkleman after his and Karen Hauer‘s axe, Paul said: “It’s been really good. For anybody I talk to, I would say you’ve got to go on this show. It’s amazing – everybody.

“It’s been amazing, honestly, amazing. I loved every minute of it, I’ve had a great teacher. Karen’s been amazing, absolutely amazing and I couldn’t wish for a better coach.

“I’ve loved every minute of it. I can dance now – I’ve won because I can dance, I couldn’t dance before and I can half dance now. It’s a bonus, absolute bonus.”
