For anyone needing to fly to London, here is an offer you should consider, at just R3 387.
It is not often that you can fly anywhere within Southern Africa for R3 387 these days, let alone to the United Kingdom.
Never mind, to London, a destination that is known to be rather pricey once taxes are added to the fare.
However, an airline operating flights from Cape Town to London is offering some extremely attractive fares on certain flights to London Gatwick Airport.
BUDGET AIRLINE FLIGHTS
These bargain fares are with a budget airline, whose fares are unbundled.
This means that the base fare of R3 387 is a seat-only option, much like flying low-cost airlines such as FlySafair where one must pay for extras like baggage, pre-seating, priority boarding and meals.
Fares are unbundled, meaning passengers can opt for only the services they need, ranging from seat-only to premium economy, which includes catering, large seats and checked baggage.
This flight is a daytime flight leaving Cape Town at 11:45, arriving in London at 21:20 the same day.
BASIC FARE: ECONOMY LIGHT
This bargain fare is for economy light fares, on a one-way ticket.
However, taxes are included.
The Economy Light fare at R3 387 includes a seat, one personal item such as a handbag or laptop with the dimensions 40 x 30 x 15cm and one cabin suitcase with the dimensions 56 x 45 x 25cm, weighing no more than 10kg.
Other airlines flying to London, such as Virgin Atlantic, also offer such fares, but at much higher prices.

This will be allocated at check-in.
At this fare, passengers will also be last to board the aircraft.

FLY TO LONDON GATWICK AIRPORT
Just remember that the flight arrives at London Gatwick, not Heathrow Airport.
That said, Gatwick is not an inconvenient airport to land at. There are many convenient options for getting into central London from Gatwick.
Nowadays, some airlines are shifting their operations to London Gatwick as opposed to Heathrow Airport.
