(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) announced on social media that several law enforcement and emergency responders will be conducting a full-scale evacuation exercise in the Broadmoor Bluffs area on Saturday, Sept. 28.
According to CSFD, the exercise will begin at 10 a.m. and will involve the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), Pikes Peak Regional Office of Emergency Management (PPROEM), Cheyenne Mountain Fire, and American Medical Response (AMR).
CSFD said that the community can expect a heightened number of public safety personnel in the area, but emphasized that there is no emergency.
