With Bafana Bafana being in action during the current international break, it seems more eyes are on them.
Last week Friday, Bafana Bafana dismantled Congo-Brazzaville 5-0 in Gqeberha, at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium.
Mokwana recently moved to Esperance
Oswin Appollis had a hatrick of assists, while two beneficiaries of those assists was midfielder Teboho Mokoena. One of the other players that registered an assist was winger Elias Mokwana. The Esperance winger isn enjoying a consistent spell on the right wing for Bafana Bafana under Hugo Broos. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, there were European scouts on the grandstands watching him.
“There is interest from Europe in Mokwana. Actually it’s from Belgium. We can’t say which team it is at the moment because that could complicate things. He has been spotted by scouts and agents from Belgium who have twice watched him play for Bafana Bafana and they are willing to talk to his team in Tunisia for a possible move. I can’t say when they want him but they have inquired about him. They are believed to be in the forefront in looking for his services,” said the source.
Having signed for Esperance from Sekhukhune United, Babina Noko would benefit from a possible Mokwana sale.
Move to Belgium already looming
“His move to any other team will benefit Sekhukhune United. They agreed that if Elias (Mokwana) is sold to Europe or any other club at a higher price above the price Sekhukhune United sold him to Esparance then they will get a percentage of the money. So for now the interest from Belgium is not just good for the player or Esperance but also for Sekhukhune United,” said a second source.
