‘Does she know her audience?’ fans fume at ‘outrageous’ prices of Molly-Mae’s new range – with £140 blazer and £35 tee

MOLLY-MAE Hague has unveiled the prices of her long-awaited fashion brand, Maebe – but fans are not happy.

The influencer, 25, has been slammed for “not knowing her audience” after revealing how much she’s charging for a basic tee, jeans and blazers.

Molly-Mae announced her fashion label on September 9 following much speculation on TikTok from internet sleuths

The mum-of-one shared that Maebe has been “three years in the making” and now she’s finally ready to launch.

Fans will be able to buy the range at 7pm tonight.

However, up until this morning, Molly-Mae and her team have kept pricing of Maebe products strictly under wraps.

Last night, she took to Instagram to admit that “a lot of people” had been asking her for the pricing list so they knew “exactly what they wanted” before the launch.

Molly-Mae and her team honoured requests and released prices at 10am this morning, a few hours before the clothes are set to go live.

But fans are not impressed.

Many have slammed the “outrageous” prices – which range between £35 and £140 – and questioned why the range is “so expensive”.

Maebe’s “ultimate blazer” is priced at an eye-watering £140, while a white tee is £35 and a pair of jeans £90.

The “contour popper top” is £50, while an office-friendly white shirt will set you back a whopping £65.

“Why does Molly-Mae’s new range have to be so expensive?” one shopper moaned on X, previously Twitter.

“Molly-Mae charging an arm and a leg for basic clothes is outrageous,” another slammed.

A number of social media users questioned whether Molly-Mae “knows her audience”.

“Maebe is way too expensive – £35 for a literal T-shirt,” one criticised.

What are the Maebe prices?

  • Away Day Top – £55
  • Away Day Trousers – £60
  • All Tied Up Shirt – £65
  • Contour Popper Top – £50
  • Seam Denim Jeans – £90
  • Dreamer Pointelle Tee – £35
  • The Ultimate Blazer – £140
  • Cosy Cropped Cardigan – £60

“Does she realise that a lot of her followers are young girls, uni students or adults that have to pay mortgages?”

Another detractor penned on TikTok: “I’m really disappointed as I thought as her audience is mainly young girls, they would be reasonable.”

Other shoppers on Instagram moaned that they’re “too broke for Maebe” and slammed that “£140 for a blazer is wild”.

One moaned: “£50 for a vest top with buttons is very ludicrous.”

“IT’S NOT SHEIN”

Not everyone was peeved by the launch though.

Some fans were quick to defend Molly-Mae and still vowed to “fill their baskets” when the Maebe site goes live at 7pm tonight.

“Everyone complaining about the price has to realise this isn’t Shein,” one defended on Instagram.

“She is going for a more high class brand.

“It will sell out as many people actually can afford this, unlike those complaining about the price.”

Another retaliated: “The prices aren’t even bad.

“She’s selling nice quality basics you’ll have for years, not £3 Shein tops.”
