Yankees fans were outraged during the ninth inning of Friday’s World Series opener against the Dodgers when a home fan interfered with a potential go-ahead home run by Gleyber Torres.
With the score tied at 2-2, the second baseman fired a shot to center field and at first it looked like the ball had disappeared.
However, the officials quickly determined that a fan had reached over the wall and interfered with the play, before upholding the ruling and putting Torres on second base.
Aaron Judge then popped out to end the inning and fans were outraged by the controversial call.
‘Keep the ball in play, why would you want to catch it? DON’T OBSERVE! Damn idiot man!’, someone said on X.

“That was F*** THAT FAN!!!!!!!!,” raged another.
“Dumbest fan ever,” said a third. said.
And a fourth added: “Ban that baseball fan.”
The fan was seen later escorted out of the stadium by security.
