Renowned Israeli actress Gal Gadot essayed the role of Wonder Woman in the flick Batman vs Superman, which was released in 2016. The actress had shared an image of herself as the character on her Instagram handle and had said,
“I have been so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible character and more than anything, I am grateful for YOU. The fans. The most amazing, warm, loving fans in the world.”
After essaying the role of Wonder Woman alongside Batman and Superman, Gadot appeared in solo roles in two Wonder Woman franchises, which were released in 2017 and 2020.

However, on October 14, 2024, post the Sean “Diddy” Combs arrest episode, when he was charged with sexual misconduct, a Facebook page which went by the name Vivek Vibes alleged that Gadot got the role of Wonder Woman because of her affair and proximity with Diddy.
The post managed to rake in 1.2K comments and over 4K reactions. The post also featured a collage of the rapper and the actress. However, the post is untrue and it is a fake. Vivek Vibes, the Facebook page which first featured the fake news, also carries a description which reads,
“Just here to make you laugh. Trying to be a responsible adult while creating chaos online.”
The Facebook page was a meme page and is known to post fake news in the past and hence is untrustworthy. The truth is Gal Gadot landed the role after facing an audition.
There has been a spate of fake news related to the Sean “Diddy” Combs arrest episode, and every day some prominent personality is being linked with him. Diddy is in jail after he was arrested and charged for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and using transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Interestingly, just before landing the role of Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot had nearly given up acting. Before landing the role and lassoing her way into the audience’s hearts, the Israeli actress had almost called it a day from an acting career and returned to her native city of Tel Aviv.
Earlier, Gal Gadot was widely acclaimed for her role as Gisele in the Fast & Furious franchise, and Fast Five and Fast & Furious 6 together managed a whopping business of $1.48 billion at the box office.
