Davante Adams drops major hint he’ll be traded by Raiders on Kay Adams Show after Antonio Pierce Instagram message

NFL star Davante Adams responded to reports that he might not play another down with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver appeared on Kay Adams’ FanDuel TV program Up & Adams on Tuesday.

The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a Week 4 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

However, Las Vegas head coach Antonio Pierce liked an Instagram post wondering if Adams played his final game with the NFL team.

Adams was asked about his future with the Raiders on Kay’s show – and he didn’t provide much clarity on his situation with the team.

“All I can control is this talk we’re having right here and after we’re done with this all I can control is the next thing that I’m on to,” he said on live television.

Kay was stunned at Davante’s answer, even saying, “Oh my god,” during the sequence.

The 37-year-old then asked the 11-year NFL veteran if he had heard from Pierce.

“I haven’t heard from him. I haven’t talked to him,” Davante said.

“Social media is a beast so it’s a lot of people out there that saw it and wondering what’s going on and reaching out.”

Adams didn’t appear in Las Vegas’s win over Cleveland due to a hamstring injury.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that his injury is expected to sideline him on a week-to-week basis.

“[I’m] trying to get healthy and doing everything that I can to stay on top of that because the worst thing you can do especially with a situation like a hammy is trying to force it, get out there and do long-term damage because you’re trying to be greedy and not understand the process,” Adams said about his injury.

“Not fun at all not being out there but I think my teammates will appreciate it more for the long run.”

Pierce has since removed his like on the post concerning Adams.

It’s been reported that the Raiders rejected multiple teams that inquired about Adams’ services over the summer.

And there has been plenty of speculation about the New York Jets potentially trading for Adams and reuniting him with Aaron Rodgers, his quarterback with the Green Bay Packers.

Adams said Tuesday that the trade rumors have been “annoying.”

“It gets annoying for sure but I’m one of those players that people like to talk about, one way or the other,” he told Kay.

“Thank God that he blessed me with the ability to just focus in on what I need to focus in on and not get sidetracked by any of the outside noise.”

Adams has caught 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown in the 2024 campaign.

He will have to be traded before the November 5 trade deadline.
