Coronation Street blunder that proves Kit Green is a ‘wrong-un’ as he investigates Joel Deering’s murder

EAGLE-EYED Coronation Street fans spotted a telling error during Kit Green’s investigation into the murder of Joel Deering.

Joel has been missing from Weatherfield ever since he failed to show up to his court hearing.

He got into deep trouble when it was discovered that he used drugs to force Lauren Bolton into early labour in an attempt to get her to miscarry their child.

Frankie was born safely but had to be rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit and has since suffered from seizures and needed round the clock care.

The twisted lawyer made a concerning call to his former fiancée Dee-Dee before disappearing, which led cops to think he had committed suicide.

However, Dee-Dee and several other people who knew him were never convinced that he had taken his own life.

After new evidence came to light suggesting that there had been foul play when his body was found, police launched a murder investigation.

Kit has been leading the investigation alongside DS Lisa Swain, who was removed from the case after Kit uncovered threatening messages Joel had sent to her daughter.

But viewers are now questioning Kit’s credibility after a scene that aired on Wednesday night.

During the episode, the policeman was seen taking notes about potential suspects in the back room of the Rovers Return.

While trying to figure out where Dee-Dee’s brother Michael Bailey was on the night when Joel went missing, Kit misspelled his suspect’s name.

Coronation Street fans flocked to social media to make fun of the cop, with one saying: “Kit had spelled Michael Bailey’s name incorrectly on that list.”

Another joked: “Always thought Kit was a wrong ‘Un, but now it turns out he’s one of those people who can’t spell Michael properly. Well that just seals it.”

A third chimed in, asking: “Also who casually writes in all caps? Very suspicious.”
