Confirmed runners and riders for the 2024 Arc de Triomphe and final draw revealed

The runners and riders have been confirmed for Sunday’s Arc de Triomphe with a 16-strong field set to take on the £4.3million race.

Drawn in stall three, Ralph Beckett’s Bluestocking, who was yesterday supplemented for a fee of £100,000, represents Britain’s best hope, with Rossa Ryan onboard.

David Menuisier’s Sunway, who has yet to win a Group 1 this season, but managed a good third in the St Leger has an outside draw in stall 15.

Historically, low draws have been most successful in the race in recent years, and Andre Fabre’s second favourite, Sosie, has come out well in stall five.

Strong support for Look De Vega overnight saw him edge ahead of Sosie in the betting, and he’s now 7-2 with Paddy Power.

A Paddy Power spokesman, Paul Binfield, said: “Looking at the all-important draw despite still not being able to separate the ‘big two’.

“Of the front end combatants Sosie looks to have fared best in stall five with low draws historically having enjoyed a significant advantage at Longchamp with 22 winners since 1988 emerging from stalls two to seven.

“While during the same period 12 scorers came from stalls eight to 15 which encompasses Look De Vega (8), Los Angeles (10) and Shin Emperor (11).”
