Rapist now identifying as a woman jailed for six years after attacking victim on night out while living as a man

A VILE rapist who now identifies as a woman has been locked up in a male prison for six years after brutally attacking a victim on a night out.

Lexi, formerly Alexander, Secker was convicted of one count of rape after luring a vulnerable woman into Blunsdon woodland, in Wiltshire.

Swindon Crown Court heard the defendant, 35, was living as a man when he urged the victim, who had been “significantly affected by alcohol” to go on a walk.

Judge Jason Taylor KC sentenced Secker to six and a half years in a male prison on Friday.

The judge said: “I am sure you hatched a plan to be alone with her.

“You suggested you take her for a walk under the pretence of sobering up. You took her to a secluded spot in the woods.”

During the four-day trial in June earlier this year, Secker claimed he had “consensual intercourse” initiated by the victim, the judge said.

The court heard how the rapist, of Lowbourne, near Melksham, Wiltshire, suffered from depression and gender dysphoria, and would need psychological and medical treatment.

She was also assaulted multiple times while in custody at a male prison, the court was told.

Judge Taylor told Secker: “You now identify as a woman and are attracted to men.

“At the time of this offence, you were a man. You identified as a man and you were, on the evidence, clearly attracted to women.

“You were able to exercise judgment, make rational choices and understood the nature and consequences of your actions.

“You were not disinhibited at the time by your conditions. There is no evidence they were as present and compelling as they are now.”

The disgusting sex attacker, who appeared via video link from HMP Bristol, cried as she was handed her sentence.

She was also put on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely.

Wiltshire Police previously said Secker was living as a man when the attack took place in April 2023, and the report stated the offence had been committed by a man.

It is understood that the sex of a defendant recorded by the police will be used throughout the stages of the criminal justice system.

This means the sex first recorded by police will be reflected on what is on court records, criminal justice data relating to charges, offences and convictions.

On Friday, the name Alexander Secker was on Swindon Crown Court’s list for the case.

But, at the beginning of proceedings the court clerk asked whether the defendant was “Lexi Secker”, to which the reply was “yes”.

Meanwhile, barristers and the judge called the defendant “Ms Secker” and “she” throughout the sentencing hearing.

But, the victim called her attacker “Alex” in her victim personal statement.

She said: “He took away my trust in people and myself. The assault consumed me with shame and fear.”

The woman, who bravely appeared at court in person to watch Secker sentenced, said she had experienced “unbearable anxiety, shame and fear” since the attack.

Detective Constable Corrina Wiltshire, of Wiltshire Police, said: “I would firstly like to thank our victim in this case who has been inspirational in the way they have handled things.

“I hope this sentence gives other victims the strength to come forward and help police seek justice for them.

“This case has taken a long time to get to this point, but I’m pleased to say the victim has trusted the police throughout and stayed with this despite the hurdles.

“They have such incredible strength and I hope it shows others that they can do this too.”

Stunning Brookside star has barely aged 21 years after quitting soap and new career away from TV

A STUNNING Brookside actress has barely aged despite two decades passing since her stellar soap role.

The Channel 4 star, 45 – who also featured in adverts for Halifax bank during her acting career – now has a very normal job.

Tiffany Eglin, formerly Tiffany Chapman, played Brookside‘s Rachel Jordache.

The brunette actress, who kept her locks in a shoulder-length style, enjoyed two stints on the soap, firstly between 1993 and 1996 then returning in 1997 for six years.

She starred in Emmerdale prior to finding fame in Brookside, with her character suffering a difficult family life and arriving on the show in a safehouse facility.

She was abused by her father Trevor and barely saw her mum Mandy – with her sister Beth also passing away in prison.

Yet Trevor, played by Bryan Murray, eventually died at the hands of Mandy, who proceeded to bury him under the patio.

Her character went on to marry Mike Dixon and have a baby, and she left the soap in 2003 when it came to an end.

Later in her career, Tiffany took on a role in rival soap Hollyoaks in 2007, and has also starred in Doctors.

Back in 2016 she changed tack, opting to play a Halifax bank teller in an advert for the company.

She starred alongside cartoon Top Cat who arrived in-branch begging for money.

Now, Tiffany has shunned small screen fame for a completely different career.

She works as a dental receptionist at the Apollonia House Dental and Healthcare facility in Oldham – yet looks completely the same.

Her profile picture on the company’s website shows her side-profile, flashing a beaming smile.

Another Instagram snap, taken to celebrate her Brookside co star Vince Earl’s 80th birthday sees her fresh-faced glow.

She has kept her brunette locks a similar length, wearing her hair in a half-up style, and vamped her look with thick black eye make-up.

Darkest soap storylines

Over the years the likes of EastEndersEmmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock…

  • EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) – Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca’s adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police.
  • Emmerdale: Holly’s drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) – In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale’s first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose.
  • Hollyoaks: Luke’s rape (2000) – Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap’s first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs – who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance.
  • Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) – Just a mere mention of ‘Richard Hillman’ is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it’s not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn’t.
  • Off-screen, Tiffany married husband Jonathan Eglin in 2002.

The couple announced their engagement in 2001 with a magazine shoot.

Tiffany is also the daughter of former footballer Les Chapman, 75, a former football player and manager.

It came after we reported how Tiffany’s former co-star Helen Grace looked unrecognisable from her screen role in a new CBBC show.

Additionally, their former Brookside colleague Louis Emerick recently clapped back at criticism directed towards soaps, suggesting there was a “stigma” and snobbery around the shows.

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty goes missing for second day in a row as she’s replaced by a familiar face

BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty has gone missing for a second day in a row – and was replaced by a familiar host.

It comes after the BBC recently revealed that Naga made £25,000 in the month of June on top of her usual salary for presenting the breakfast show.

Familiar face Nina Warhurst had to take her seat next to Charlie Stayt this morning

Naga, 49, and Charlie Stayt, 62, usually team up to present BBC Breakfast from Thursday through to Saturday.

However, she was nowhere to be seen this morning when a familiar face, Nina Warhurst, 43, stepped up to help give the nation the latest news headlines.

She delivered news on a number of topics, from the death of national treasure Maggie Smith to the introduction of banking hubs.

It’s unclear why Naga wasn’t on BBC Breakfast this morning, but the show is no stranger to hosting shake-ups as presenters regularly swap in for each other.

Nina usually appears on BBC Breakfast as a business and consumer affairs reporter, but it’s not the first time she’s had to step up to co-present the morning news show.

Recently she stepped in twice within two weeks to cover Sally Nugent earlier this month. Sally, 53, usually hosts the programme with John Kay, 54, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

While Naga was missed by fans, many viewers were happy to see Nina get a chance to present.

“Absolute delight to see the lovely Nina Warhurst reading the main news,” one fan gushed on X, formerly Twitter.

“So lovely to see you rising in the broadcasting ranks, Nina. You are absolutely my favourite presenter,” praised another.

Naga’s absence comes after the BBC revealed how much the breakfast star made on top of her annual £345,000 salary, which makes her one of the broadcaster’s highest-earning presenters.

She has previously spoken about how she works hard for her salary and has to be in the BBC Breakfast studio by 4.50am.

Presenters are also allowed to pick up extra earnings by being hired at after-dinner speeches, hosting Q&A sessions for firms, and handing out gongs at corporate bashes.

Staff disclose their extra earnings to BBC bosses and the amounts are published by the corporation under transparency rules.

And the latest BBC External Events Register has shown that Naga was paid between £5,000 and £10,000 for hosting a Veuve Cliquot awards ceremony in London on 13 June.

On June 16, she was paid up to £5,000 for hosting an event for an organisation called Stardust.

Naga also picked up between £5,000 and £10,000 for being an interviewer for software firm NICE Systems on 25 June.

Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?

The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:

    Jon Kay – Since 2022

    Sally Nugent – Since 2021

    Charlie Stayt – Since 2006

    Naga Munchetty – Since 2014

    Carol Kirkwood – Since 1997

Lidl drops £4.99 gadget that keeps your house warm without putting the heating on – and it’ll reduce your energy bills

WINTER is right around the corner.

And while millions of Brits feel like they were robbed of a good summer, it’s important for your purse not to be robbed by winter energy bills

The draught excluder launches on Sunday 29 September[/caption]

It comes in cream (above) or brown[/caption]

September usually marks a turning point in the weather as temperatures start to fall and the evenings get darker.

It’s also the same time that Brits get nifty with preparing for the cold weather, and ensuring they’re not spending needless money on energy bills when the chill kicks in.

Fortunately, this just got a lot easier thanks to a new gadget from Lidl

Set for release in store on Sunday, the Livarno Home Draught Excluder will cost you a cool £4.99.

The product description reads: “Keeps out cold air – helps reduce heating costs.”

The nifty tool is also made partially with recycled polyester, with the whole interior stuffing being made of repurposed plastic.

It is designed to cover gaps around doors and windows to block cold air from seeping into your home.

Lidl’s new Livarno Home Draught Excluder is 90cm long, and it comes in two colours; cream or dark brown.

The most common door frame width is 76.2cm in England and Wales, or 72.6cm in Scotland.

That means the foamy gadget will likely cover the full width of your door, and thus any gaps underneath it that may let a draught in.

It is said draught excluders can reduce heat loss and save up to 30 per cent on energy bills in extreme cases, and 10–20 per cent in less extreme situations.

Cushion draught excluders like Lidl’s are brilliant because they require no insulation, glue or drilling, are super cheap compared to replacing windows or doors, and are renter friendly.

    videojs.getPlayer('6358312399112').ready(function() { var myPlayer = this; myPlayer.on("loadedmetadata", function() { var browser_language, track_language, audioTracks; browser_language = navigator.language || navigator.userLanguage; // IE <= 10 browser_language = browser_language.substr(0, 2); audioTracks = myPlayer.audioTracks(); for (var i = 0; i < audioTracks.length; i++) { track_language = audioTracks[i].language.substr(0, 2); if (track_language) { if (track_language === browser_language) { audioTracks[i].enabled = true; } } } }); });

They can also be washable for easy maintenance.

And depending on the design, they can be a festive decoration if you choose one in a seasonal design, such as Christmas-themed.

Lidl’s draught excluder is also really well-priced – Dunelm’s cheapest cushion draught excluder, for example, is £7.

The Range is selling one for £6.99.

If you’re looking for a more permanent solution to a door or window draught, then consider draught excluder strips.

B&Q’s 5m Self Adhesive Draft Excluder Weatherstrip For Doors And Windows is only £4.99 and easy to apply.

Simply peel off the wrapper and stick around your window and door frames.

5 ways to keep your house warm in winter

Property expert Joshua Houston shared his tips.

    1. Curtains

“Windows are a common place for the outside cold to get into your home, this is because of small gaps that can let in air so always close your curtains as soon as it gets dark,” he said.

This simple method gives you an extra layer of warmth as it can provide a kind of “insulation” between your window and curtain.

    2. Rugs

“Your floor is another area of your home where heat can be lost and can make your home feel chilly,” he continued. “You might notice on cold days, that your floor is not nice to walk on due to it freezing your feet.

“Add rugs to areas that don’t already have a carpet, this provides a layer of insulation between your bare floor and the room above.”

    3. Check your insulation

Check your pipes, loft space, crawlspaces and underneath floorboards.

“Loose-fill insulation is very good for this, and is a more affordable type of insulation, with a big bag being able to be picked up for around £30,” Joshua explained.

    4. Keep your internal doors closed

“Household members often gather in one room in the evening, and this is usually either the kitchen or living room,” Joshua said.

“This means you only have to heat a small area of your home, and closing the doors keeps the heat in and the cold out.”

    5. Block drafts

Don’t forget to check cat flaps, chimneys and letterboxes, as they can let in cold air if they aren’t secure.

I had the same procedure as tragic BBL mum, I was moments from death & live in constant pain, they must be banned NOW

WHEN mum Bonnie-Louise Cooper heard about the tragic death of mother-of-five Alice Webb, 33 who underwent a liquid BBL she broke down in floods of tears.

I read the story and was instantly hit with waves of fear and anxiety,” the mum-of-one explains.

Alice Webb died after her BBL procedure ‘went wrong’[/caption]

“Nine months ago I had the same procedure and almost died.

“It’s heart-breaking. My heart goes out to Alice’s family. I knew this was going to happen eventually.

“It could have been me. I have been begging authorities to ban the procedure.

“Just like Alice I had the same procedure and within 36 hours I was so ill consultants and hospital teams warned my family I was hours away from death.

“I was diagnosed with rapid onset sepsis and have long term tissue damage from the liquid BBL.

“This was just nine months ago, and I am still recovering.

“How many people have to suffer and die before action is taken?”

In March this year Bonnie Louise exclusively told Fabulous about her near-death experience after paying £1,500 for a liquid BBL.

Single beautician Bonnie, from Swanage is mum to five -year-old Kash and decided to have a liquid BBL in the UK rather than jetting to Turkey as many others have done.

“I was too scared to fly overseas to Turkey,” she says.

“I thought that opting for a clinic in the UK would be a safer alternative. I’d seen it advertised on social media with lots of likes.”

The standard surgical BBL involves the patient having fat harvested from their own body and re-injection into the buttock area.

A non-invasive liquid BBL uses a range of dermal fillers including hyaluronic acid which is injected into each buttock using a large cannula to add volume.

The liquid BBL is promoted as relatively pain free because the filler contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic.

For Bonie it seemed like the perfect option and the mum had the procedure done in Romford Essex in November last year.

She recalls: “I was told I was having 250 mils of filler injected into each buttock. In total that is half a litre of filler injected into my bottom. That’s a lot.

The mum had her bum injected with filler in a hope to get a pert bottom and while the results were good she almost lost her life

“I was given some lidocaine, but I wasn’t prepared for the pain of the cannula injection.

“I’m a beautician and I wasn’t asked the standard health questions I ask for when I do basic eyebrow dying.

“I gave birth and thought that was the most painful experience. It’s nothing compared to what I experienced.”

According to Bonnie her liquid BBl injections were administered while she stood up in a ‘beauty salon environment’ not an operating room and caused unrelenting pain.

    “It’s stomach-churning pain,” she says.

“I could feel the cannula needing to be pushed across my bottom under the skin. It wasn’t what I expected.

“I was in shock after the procedure. I tried to put on a brave face. I was told I was likely to feel a bit odd because of the lidocaine.

    Alice's tragic death

Alice Webb, 33, was having a non-surgical BBL at a studio in Gloucester when it “went wrong”.

The mum-of-five was travelled from her home in Wotton-under-Edge to a clinic in Gloucester for a training session where she would learn how to perform the procedure before having her own done.

She rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary later that night, where she passed away in the early hours of September 24.

Her devastated partner Dane Knight, 38, posted a tribute online saying: “Want to say a heartfelt thank you to all family and friends that were here for us at our time of need, including all of the kind messages sent to my children and myself.”

Alice’s “second mum” Dianna Webb, 58, said she told her younger cousin she did not need the procedure only hours before she died after going under the knife.

A tearful Diana told The Sun: “We had talked about it a lot before she went to have the procedure.

“She had told me she was going to have this done and I said she didn’t need it – she already looked beautiful.

“And she was stunning on her own.

“We were on the phone for two hours before she went. Alice said they seemed really professional and put her at ease about the procedure.”

Two people were arrested following Alice’s death, one of them Jordan James Parke, a Kim Kardashian-obsessed TV star dubbed the “Lip King”.

“I asked if I should drive home and was told it was fine.

“That didn’t make sense to me. I’d just had half a litre of filler injected into my bottom.  I thought I’d be offered a special pillow to sit on.”

Bonnie claims she wasn’t given any after care instruction and was sent home without antibiotics.

“By the time I got home I was screaming in agony and couldn’t get out of the car and I’d started vomiting and fainted trying to get into my house,” she says.

“If my sister hadn’t been there to help me, I’d have collapsed in the driveway.”

“I rang the clinic in agony. They told me they’d send antibiotics around the next day and to go to bed.”

Bonnie explains she couldn’t keep any water down and was grateful her sister, Lisa Hughes,32, a stay-at-home mum, was visiting that night.

“I’m a single mum. I couldn’t keep the water down. I’d been told to take some codeine and paracetamol but the pain I was experiencing was worse than childbirth.

The next morning Bonnie’s temperature had skyrocketed.

According to her sister Lisa she was shocked at Bonnie’s condition.,

“She was screaming in pain, sweating and vomiting,” says Lisa.

“She tried to get up to go to the toilet and fainted.

“My sister was making no sense and hallucinating. I knew she needed to go straight to hospital.”

Ambulance officers were so concerned about the young mum’s condition she was blue-lighted to hospital and rushed to Intensive Care in the ER department.

Bonnie’s tests revealed she had rapid onset sepsis.,

She was given morphine regularly for the next four days and intravenous antibiotics to fight the injection.

“My sister was told I could die,” Bonnie says.

“It was only her quick thinking that prevented that. My son would have been orphaned.

“I had an emergency MRI scan, and it revealed the procedure had caused muscle damage. It was so serious I was given a referral to Salisbury Plastics for dissolving procedures.”

Alice should not have died. Her legacy must be the banning of these liquid BBLs

    Bonnie Louise Cooper

It took almost five days before Bonnie was well enough to be sent home.

“I had to take two different types of antibiotics for another month and am still on painkillers today,” she says.

“The antibiotics promised by the clinic never arrived and I was never told, despite asking what type of filler they used.

“The hospital tried to call the salon, but they didn’t answer. It was awful.

“I felt like I’d been thrown to the wolves. I was left with no aftercare and no follow up.”

Almost a year later Bonnie still has pain when sitting and continues to experience pain down her left leg.

“I know I agreed to the treatment but if someone had explained even in extreme circumstances, I could end up in hospital sepsis,” she says.

“I know as a single mum I would have reconsidered.

“To this day I still don’t know what was injected into my bum. It could have been any combination of fillers or dermal injectables.”

Bonnie still has nightmares about the pain and hallucinations she suffered after the procedure.

“When I read Alice had died, I cried for her children, her family and the fact no one is listening to survivors of this deadly procedure,” she adds.

“Alice should not have died. Her legacy must be the banning of these liquid BBLs.”

Save Face, a national, government-approved register of accredited non-surgical treatment practitioners says complaints about non-surgical BBLs have risen at an ‘alarming’ rate.

Save Face is calling for the procedures to be banned, while the Local Government Association has asked the government to take urgent action.

GP and MP for Stroud, Dr Simon Opher, said the death of Ms Webb is “absolutely tragic”. He also urged people not to have BBLs, as it is unknown whether the procedure is safe.

Gloucestershire Police’s major crime team is now investigating, and the two arrested people have been released on bail.

“This should have happened earlier. Too many people think they can have ‘lunchtime procedure and it’s like getting your hair done. It isn’t,” says Bonnie.

“I know people want the cheapest, quickest option to ‘; looking good’ but I found out the hard way it’s deadly.

Bonnie is continuing her campaign and using all women who have liquid BBL booked in Britain to cancel their procedures.

“I am alive to wave my son goodbye at the school gates. Alice isn’t and we must change that.

“Alice’s death and the near-death experience of countless other women must not be in vain.”
