‘Perfect for the cold’ rave New Look shoppers racing to buy ‘super-comfy’ autumn essential with 25% discount

LONGING for a reliable puffer jacket to keep you warm and dry? New Look is offering 25% off a range of coats and jackets.

And there’s one in particular that hoppers are raving about – New Look’s Black Hooded Puffer Jacket.

New Look has 25% off winter coats right now, including this hooded puffer coat

Black Hooded Puffer Coat, £29.24 (was £38.99)

New Look has slashed the price of the timeless Black Hooded Puffer Coat from £38.99 down to £29.24 in its winter coat sale.

The popular high-street fashion brand is offering shoppers 25% off select coats and jackets, and that includes this padded and hooded design.

The sale has come at the perfect time, as I for one am dusting off the cobwebs of my winter coats to wear late-September.

One minute I am scrambling for winter layers and a brolly to brave the rainy outdoors; the next, the sun is out and I’m reaching for a pair of sunglasses, and shedding all the layers.

With that in mind, I am looking for a puffer coat that is lightweight, but also insulating.

The Black Hooded Puffer Coat from New Look is a perfect medium to tick all of those boxes.

The New Look jacket features a mid-weight padding, which is just enough to keep the wearer warm and dry in the autumn and winter. But, it is also perfect for the current weather too.

It features a hood to keep the wearer dry, and is lightweight in comparison to longline parkas.

The jacket has a relaxed fit, which I prefer as it provides a more comfortable fit, suits all body shapes, and, most importantly, means there is enough room to layer clothes underneath.

This jacket is described as cropped, but it looks like a regular length that sits just on the hips, which I personally prefer as it makes this outerwear suitable for all ages, body shapes and styles. Another tick.

The puffer coat features an adjustable, toggle hem. So, though it is a relaxed fit, simply pulling the toggle can cinch in the hem for a fitted shape – plus it keeps draughts at bay.

The New Look jacket also features side slit pockets to keep your hands warm, is fully lined for extra insulation, as well a a zip up fastening.

It is available in UK dress sizes 8 to 22, and comes in a variety of colours, including black, grey, mink, brown and khaki – and I want one in every colour.

The jacket has garnered high praise from shoppers, and has racked up an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars.

Shoppers have praised this jacket as being the “perfect” design for winter, and a “super-comfy” creation, which is exactly what I yearn for in the cold winter months.

One review read: “The jacket was an amazing jacket which kept me warm in the cold and windy times, it fit me perfectly. The jacket also looked really good with all my outfits and didn’t make it look weird or stand out too much.”

Another shopper gushed: “Great coat! Very warm but not too warm. Puffy but not too puffy. Love the colour.”

A separate customer said: “I loved this coat so much, makes you so warm and it’s good material.”

While another added: “Perfect black jacket – looking for a black jacket that sits on my waist and this was exactly what I was looking for.”

New trends come and go, but there are some failsafe staples that survive them all, says beauty and fashion journalist Maisie Bovingdon

Shopping is my achilles heel, it gives me a hit of dopamine on down days, it makes me feel confident, and all round lifts my mood.
