My ‘beautiful’ dog was killed by my neighbour’s pet in horrific attack – and she blamed it on her TODDLER grandson

A FAMILY’S French Bulldog was killed by a Staffy and a German Shepherd – with the owner then blaming her two-year-old grandson.

Little pet Bridget, one, was being walked by Christine Honeyball in Old Harlow, Essex, when the two escaped dogs attacked.

Poor Bridget’s neck was broken in the attack and she died before she could reach a vet[/caption]

Bridget’s neck was broken and she had already died by the time she arrived at the vets.

Following the incident on September 3, Christine, 62, then confronted the owner of the two dogs who said: “Take it up with my grandson, he let them out… he’s only two.”

Christine has reported the attack to police.

Her daughter has since been contacted by four other people who say they have reported similar incidents involving the same dogs to police.

Christine has even been sent Ring doorbell footage – seen by The Sun – of the dogs attacking a Rottweiler puppy minutes before Bridget was killed.

The grandmother was out walking her three dogs – also including a Sausage dog and a Golden Retriever, when the attack happened near Churchgate Primary School at around 5.40pm.

“They came out of the bushes, so I picked up Bridget as I knew she wouldn’t run away like the other two,” she told the Sun.

“She was obviously hurt and killed by the Staffy which pulled her out of my arms. It was horrible.”

Christine explained: “First it was biting her hind leg and it was that horrible feeling of I can’t do anything.

“When he got her out of my arms, he had her round the neck and just shook her. There was no playing, it wanted to kill her.”

Christine said her Golden Retriever was trying to fight off the German Shepherd, and fears she would’ve been in “big trouble” if it was just her and two other smaller dogs.

“It was trying to bite me,” she continued. “I was trying to get him off and he was snarling so I had to stand on his neck to get him off.

“I didn’t know at that point Bridget was already dead.”

Christine was supposed to be joining other dog walkers for their usual route along the river, and one of them called her to ask why she wasn’t at the meeting point.

She explained what had happened and asked if they could pick her up and take her to the vet.

Carrying Bridget to wedding venue That Amazing Place, Christine was then confronted by the owner of the Staffy and German Shepherd.
“She said ‘have you seen my dogs?’ I said ‘yeah, they’ve just killed my dog’. I had her in my arms and she said ‘it’s not my f****** fault’.”

Christine continued: “We took her to the vet just hoping there was a chance, but I knew she was gone.”

Later that evening, a friend of hers who had the owner’s number called her – and she didn’t realise Christine was listening to the call.

“She said ‘tell her to take it up with my grandson, he’s only two’ and laughed.”

Christine’s daughter – who did not wish to be named – said she has had four other people message her on Facebook in the aftermath claiming their dogs had also been attacked by the Staffy and German Shepherd.

What are my rights if my dog is attacked?

If your dog is attacked or killed by another dog you should make note of the owner’s details and report to the police and your local council.

If a dog is “dangerously out of control” then a criminal prosecution could be brought, with potential for a £5,000 fine and ban, according to Slee Blackwell Solicitors.

The offending dog(s) could also be euthanised and the owner maybe jailed in worst case scenarios.

However, such prosecutions are rare.

The civil law, meanwhile, allows you to recover any monetary losses, including veterinary treatment.

If you were injured in the attack yourself, the owner can be sued for compensation and in such cases you should find out if they have insurance and then take the policy details.

Any refusal to co-operate gives grounds for calling the police.

They’ve all also reported the incidents to police, including the owner of a seven-month-old puppy attacked minutes before Bridget at around 5.10pm.

“They are obviously out on the rampage looking to attack anything,” said Christine.

“They attacked a Lab a few weeks before, someone had to pour water into the Staffy’s mouth to get it to let go.

“They’re dangerous. They had to go through a school playground to get to me. She (the owner) should’ve at least taken the dogs to be put to sleep.”

Christine’s daughter went on to say: “It’s not just XL Bullies that are dangerous dogs, it can be any dog that’s dangerous.

“If their owner hasn’t got any control, it doesn’t really matter what type of dog it is.”

She said the owner of the Staffy and German Shepherd had even posted on a Facebook group saying: “My dog will attack anything the size of a cat, pick it up and shake it like it’s a toy. That’s just what he does.”

Christine’s daughter added: “I don’t know how she’s justifying a dog behaving like that. She’s got grandchildren.

“If it’s a small child and they think they’re allowed to pick up anything smaller than them and shake them until they’re dead then God knows what’s going to happen next. It is just like a ticking time bomb.

“You can’t have an animal that’s as powerful as that if you’re not going to train it into an animal that you can control.”

Christine said Essex Police said they would allocate an officer and then be in touch “in the next few weeks, which is about as useless as you can get”.

Her daughter said: “Four different people have reported these dogs and the police’s response is ‘we’ll come back to you…’ It’s disgusting.”

The force has since confirmed to The Sun that it has spoken to the owner and inquiries are ongoing.

Referring to her mum, Christine’s daughter said: “She’s devastated, obviously. To lose your dog is bad enough, but to witness that is just horrific.

“My mum walks 10 miles every day with her dogs, now she’s just anxious because she doesn’t know if it’s going to be a dog that comes out of nowhere like these two did.”

We have also approached the owner of the Staffy and German Shepherd.

Essex Police told The Sun: “We are investigating an incident where a dog sustained fatal injuries.

“We received a call shortly after 8.35am on 3 September reporting a dog had died after being attacked by two other dogs the day before.

“We apologise for the delay in speaking to the owner of the dog but an officer has now spoken with the family who own the dog that has died, we are investigating, and our enquiries are ongoing.

“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.

“Please quote incident 218 of 3 September.

“You can let us know by submitting a report on our website or by using our online Live Chat service which is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week.

“Visit www.essex.police.uk/digital101 to find out more about our online reporting services.

“If you would like to make an anonymous report you can contact independent charity @Crimestoppers, by visiting their website or by calling 0800 555 111.”

I’m fuming with my fiancee because she’s been using MY toothbrush – she doesn’t think it’s a big deal but it’s so gross

HOW close is too close to be with your other half?

For this bloke, it’s sharing a toothbrush with his fiancee, but she doesn’t think it’s a big deal at all – so where do you draw the line?

The man discovered his bride-to-be had been using his toothbrush[/caption]

Taking to Reddit, the anonymous man asked if people thought he was overreacting by being so disgusted by her bride-to-be using his toothbrush.

“I really want to know how everyone else feels about this,” he wrote.

“After brushing my teeth today, I was flossing and my fiancee came in the bathroom to brush her teeth.

“She grabbed my toothbrush and started brushing away. I let her know like hey that’s my toothbrush and she put it down, looks at me, shrugs, picks it back up and continues brushing her teeth.”

He then told her he thought it was “really gross” to share a toothbrush, but she didn’t get the hint and continued to use it.

“I’m really grossed out at this point and I ask her if she could just use her toothbrush that is literally sitting right next to where mine was, she doesn’t listen and continues on,” he added.

Things then went from bad to worse when she hit back at him for being “over dramatic” about the whole thing.

Not wanting to cause a bigger argument, the bloke was left with no choice but to “frantically clean” his toothbrush before using it himself.

After the incident, he was left with a bad taste in his mouth, so decided to confront his fiancee to see if she’d ever used his toothbrush before.

Much to his shock, she confessed she’d been using it “for some time now.”

“I’m crazy grossed out like I need a new toothbrush. I think it’s crazy that she didn’t listen when I said stop.

“But what’s crazier is I’ve had this conversation with her before on how I think it’s just gross and expressed how I would not like it just to find out she has been doing it for some time now.

“I have no idea why or to what benefit. We are now having an all night argument about it,” he said.

After sharing his issue on Reddit’s Am I Overreacting forum, people were quick to defend his response.

One said: “Not Overreacting. There’s a difference between even intense kissing and what a toothbrush does, even the healthiest gums will sometimes bleed when a person is brushing.

“The bigger issue here is that you had already discussed it with her in the past. Even worse, she disregarded you when you asked her to stop.

“If she can’t respect this very simple boundary while you’re engaged, will she respect other boundaries when you get married, or will she continue to disregard, disrespect, and belittle you?”

A second agreed sharing a toothbrush was a step too far, the y commented: “This is super gross! You are also stating a small simple boundary for her not to use your tooth brush.

“I think it’s normal to want someone not to use your tooth brush, so gross!”

Meanwhile a third had a different idea on how to deal with the problem: “Just tell her that’s the one you use to clean in the corners of the shower or toilet.”

“You need a secret toothbrush in your sock drawer for your use and a decoy in the bathroom for her,” another suggested.

Should you ever share a toothbrush?

Sharing is in fact, not caring, at least according to Dr Ben Atkins, Dentist and Trustee of the Oral Health Foundation.

“Sharing a toothbrush leaves you susceptible to all sorts of oral and general health problems,” he explained.

“Just because you kiss a partner or occasionally share a fork or spoon during mealtimes with them, does not justify using their toothbrush.

“This is because brushing sometimes causes the gums to bleed, which exposes everyone you share your toothbrush with to blood stream diseases.

“This means that by sharing a toothbrush, you could also be sharing blood, which is a lot riskier than just swapping saliva.”

Tips to help kids brush their teeth

Dr Khaled Kasem, Chief Orthodontist of Europe’s leading orthodontics chain Impress, tells Sun readers how to get their kids brushing their own teeth.

1. Find a time that’s right for you

“Children need consistency to learn anything, so make sure you set a routine,” Dr Kasem explained.

“Whether it’s immediately after breakfast or bath time or just before you tuck them into bed, make brushing a part of their normal schedule so they can get used to it.”

2. Keep it in the bathroom

“Try to make a habit of brushing in the bathroom, and make sure you’re doing the same,” he said.

“Children often model adult behaviour and if they see you brushing your teeth elsewhere, the likelihood is they’ll want to do the same.”

It’s also a good idea to brush your teeth at the same time, as it could make your child want to do it too.

    3. Take your time and let them learn

Dr Eyrumlu said it’s important to let kids explore holding the toothbrush on their own.

“Angling it correctly to reach every tooth is tough. You want to have the brush at a 45 degree angle to the teeth,” he said.

Splitting the mouth into four sections can help kids get it right. The upper half on the left, the upper half on the right, the lower half on the left, and the lower half on the right.

    4. Add an element of fun

“Try to make tooth brushing a fun activity rather than a chore, make them excited,” said Dr Kasem.

“Whether it’s making up a song or naming each tooth something silly as you brush it, keeping them engaged will generate excitement around the whole thing.”

The Hey Dugee toothbrush song is a great example of this as it encourages kids to brush their teeth for a full two minutes – the recommended time.

Another option is to use your child’s favourite toy.

“Let them ‘brush’ the toy’s teeth (without toothpaste),” Dr Kasem suggested.

“This will help them to understand that it’s a normal part of everyone’s routine, and not just a punishment for them.

      5. Utilise time

It’s important to be brushing for a full two minutes, that’s 30 seconds for each quarter of the mouth.

Dr Eyrumlu suggests using a timer so kids can see or hear the time for themselves.

“Encourage them to brush one quarter of the mouth, and when the timer is up they can move on to the next section,” he explained.

“Brush along with them, doing your own teeth at the same time, enjoying the song.

“You can also try using a mirror so your child can see what they’re doing.”

        6. Offer praise

Don’t forget to inspect your child’s mouth when they’re done to check they’ve done a good job.

“Then give lots of praise, high fives, whatever works,” said Dr Eyrumlu.

“Bring the whole family into the experience if you can! It’s all about making the routine a fun experience they enjoy.”

Hezbollah ready for ‘bloody fight to the death’ as Israel pave way for Lebanon invasion within HOURS, experts warn

ISRAEL are poised to march across the Lebanon border in a matter of hours as tensions in the Middle East leave the world on the brink, experts warns.

Terror group Hezbollah are ready for a “fight to the death” against Israel should they invade into enemy territory – with Iran ready to pounce and send the region plunging into chaos.

Terror group Hezbollah are ready for a ‘fight to the death’ against Israel should they invade into enemy territory, experts warn
          AFP

Hezbollah have been decimated from the ground up by Israel over the past few weeks with their top brass being eliminated one-by-one.

The militia’s long-term leader Hassan Nasrallah and several other commanders were wiped out this week, sparking fears of a drastic escalation.

Historian and intelligence expert Anthony Glees told The Sun: “I now expect within hours that the Israeli army is going to march into southern Lebanon in the first instance, and we will see yet a further escalation.

“If Hezbollah won’t hand over their weapons and they won’t then the Israeli Defense Force is going to go in there and take the weapons off them.”

Israel’s daily rocket barrages on Beirut are believed to be a clever ploy from the IDF to help begin their ground invasion into southern Lebanon.

Friday’s Beirut blitz has left the terror group in chaos after it eliminated dozens of their leadership – paving the way for an Israeli invasion.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi has already made it clear that the attacks on Lebanon have been tactically done to open up opportunities for the military to enter.

He announced earlier this week: “You can hear the planes above, we are attacking all day.

“This is both to prepare the ground for your possible entry and to continue degrading Hezbollah.”

The Hezbollah fighters are fighters, and the origins of Hezbollah amongst displaced Palestinians mean that these people will fight to the death and kill as many Israelis as they possibly can

          Anthony GleesHistorian and intelligence expert

Anthony says Halevi’s sentiment is a clear indicator that Israel is planning to surge across the border within hours.

But the historian warned that despite the IDF outnumbering, outgunning and potentially outsmarting Hezbollah a complete offensive will be a tricky task to pull off.

Despite being severely weakened by the rocket strikes Hezbollah are still a scary prospect after decades of training and Iranian funding.

Anthony said: “I don’t think the Israeli Defense force will go into southern Lebanon like a hot knife through butter.

“The Hezbollah fighters are fighters, and the origins of Hezbollah amongst displaced Palestinians mean that these people will fight to the death and kill as many Israelis as they possibly can.

“So I don’t think it will be a simple affair, and of course they will never surrender.”

On Friday night, Israel blitzed the command bunker of Nasrallah with more than 80 bombs in a last minute operation.

Israeli strikes ripped through the his underground bunker – eliminating the firebrand Secretary-General after a 32-year reign.

The IDF said at least 20 other Hezbollah militants were killed in the strike – including two close associates of Nasrallah.

The killing of the powerful militant group’s longtime leader sent shockwaves throughout Lebanon and the Middle East.

It has also left them reeling with no clear leader to steer them through the ensuing conflict on their doorstep.

Anthony says he is almost certain that whatever happens Hezbollah will not be able to win against the IDF due to this lack of a strong presence pushing them on.

Dr Ahron Bregman, a Senior Teaching Fellow at King’s College, London agrees but argues the militia is still capable of wrecking havoc.

He said: “Hezbollah is still there, battered, bleeding, not in a good place, but it is still there you know, with up to 50,000 combatants, thousands of missiles and rockets.”

The one way Anthony and many experts feel Israel could be pushed back however is if Iran come to the aid of their own manufactured terror group.

Israel’s arch enemy has been sending warnings for the last few months urging the IDF to stop their attacks.

Threatening them with an escalation of war if they continue.

But so far they have remained mostly on the sidelines without causing any direct damage in response to Israel decimating Lebanon.

Anthony believes if Israel does go ahead with their planned offensive then Iran will be pushed into doing something.

However despite Iran’s impressive war arsenal Anthony believes their addition will prove inconsequential to Israel’s mission of destroying Islamic terror groups in the region.

Hezbollah is still there, battered, bleeding, not in a good place, but it is still there you know, with up to 50,000 combatants, thousands of missiles and rockets

Dr Ahron BregmanSenior Teaching Fellow at King's College, London

Speaking on Iran’s involvement he said: “They will launch some kind of attack against Israel and if they launch some kind of attack Israel will obliterate Iran because it’s still in a position to do so with impunity.

“You can like it. You can loathe it. But the Israelis are not going to be dislodged.”

Dr Ahron Bregman also believes that “all eyes are on Iran” as we enter the most pivotal few days of the Lebanese conflict so far.

Ahron, who served six years in the Israeli military reaching rank of Major, described Iran as facing a “terrible dilemma”.

“It is a big question for them what to do next,” he said.

“They’ve invested billions of riyads in Hezbollah over the years, and the idea was that Hezbollah will protect Iran if Israel attacks.

“But now they’ve found themselves in a situation where they have to protect the protector and they have to ask themselves what to do next.”

Iran's four options should Israel invade Lebanon

AHRON Bregman says Iran is most likely now deciding on their next moves in response to Israel's aggression and a potential escalation.

The political scientist thinks those in charge of Iran’s military has four main options should the invasion take place.

The first one is to simply abandon Hezbollah and “let Israel just finish the job” in Lebanon.

This will give them even more time to reassess their options and weaken Israel should Hezbollah put up a fight.

Ahron says this is the least likely option but with a regime like Iran nothing can be ruled out.

The second possibility is for them to react at a later date in the hope that Israel can be persuaded by their Western allies to halt any further advances.

Iran isn’t known for its peace when attacked however with the final two of Ahron’s options being to react to the violence with their own bloodshed.

They can either choose to order strikes at Israel – attacking major cities like Tel Aviv and supplying more powerful weapons to Hezbollah fighters.

Or they may chose to send in their remaining proxies in the Middle East to back up Hezbollah and push back at Israel.

Iran is also seen as the main controlling force for the Houthis in Yemen and many Shia militia groups in Iran, Iraq and Syria.

          WORLD WAR FEARS

In the short term Israel may be able to push Hezbollah and Iran back with their impressive battlefield skills and range of weapons.

But many are fearing their dominance in the region won’t last for long – potentially triggering a global war.

Anthony said: “We’re talking about many, many people who belong to the Islamic world who are not going to see the Islamic Republic of Iran humiliated.

“They’re not going to see Shia Muslims, Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis be destroyed, and that that will trigger a much wider conflagration.

“That is what I am afraid of as today looks easy for Israel to get a tactical win but in the longer term there is the possibility of a World war.

“The stronger Israel is in the short term, the more hostile the anti-Israeli forces will be in the medium and longer term.”

The Israeli military has already reopened fire at Houthi targets in Yemen today.

They attacked several sites including a power plant and sea port used to import oil.

Houthi fighters have blamed Israel for instability in the Middle East for years.

Blaming the “circle of conflict” in the region on Israel’s “continued crimes”, especially in Gaza.

Western powers, who have sided with Israel throughout the last year as they battled with Hamas terrorists since October 7, are also expecting a major escalation in the coming days.

The US secretary of defence Lloyd Austin has told his military to reinforce its aerial presence in the Middle East.

Pentagon spokesman Air Force Major General Patrick Ryde said today the measures are in fear of a possible Iranian reactionary strike.

He said: “Secretary Austin made clear that should Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take every necessary measure to defend our people.”

The Department of Defense announced on Monday that “additional” service members will also be joining up with the 40,000 fighters already in the Middle East.

The US has repeatedly called for calm in the region and has tried to bring about a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah this week.

Over a dozen countries scrambled to get a deal over the line only for Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to reject the offer.

Days later he authorised the attack which killed Nasrallah.

Those nations firmly against Israel have also spoken up.

China has been vocal in recent days saying it opposes any violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Foreign minister Wang Yi also spoke at the UN General Assembly about wanting a “comprehensive ceasefire” in the Middle East.

Russia‘s Vladimir Putin yet to comment on the latest strikes despite what many see as a growing relationship between him and Iran.

The two countries are said to be trying to help one another out with both sending each other weapons.

Russia’s war with Ukraine has seen thousands of Iranian made UAV’s and 300mph missiles used.

In return, reports say Putin may have handed over nuclear secrets as Iran continues to try and build a nuclear arsenal to compete with the world’s most powerful military’s.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is even believed to be the first diplomat to visit Iran since the deadly Hezbollah blasts.

He is set to meet Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday.

How Nasrallah's death could drag the West and end up with Khamenei's assassination

By Sayan Bose, Foreign News Reporter

ISRAEL has killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in a series of massive aircraft strikes that rocked Lebanon.

It is all but certain that his death will mark a huge shift in the Middle East crisis, with Hezbollah being left incredibly weak and Iran losing grip on its biggest terror proxy.

Many experts are seeing the death of Nasrallah – considered by many to be the single most powerful individual in Lebanon – as a potential escalation in the regional crisis that could now explode into an all-out war.

And they fear that the West could soon get dramatically involved in the conflict.

Dr Alan Mandoza, Executive Founder of Brit think tank Henry Jackson Society, told The Sun: “The most likely Western power to become involved in any Middle Eastern conflict right now is the US, which might be brought into war through a Hezbollah or Iranian response to Israel’s recent successes.

“If Israel is bombarded by missile strikes, the US might well join in with its defence.

“[But] if the attack was from Iran, it could even see the UK and France join in.

“If Iran responds with real aggression then this could see a regional war break out

It’s feared Iran could respond by targeting Israel directly, sending weapons through Iraq and Syria to Lebanon or sending fighters to Lebanon to shore up Hezbollah, Professor Fawaz Gerges from LSE told Sky News.

Following Nasrallah’s death, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei – one of his closest allies – issued a chilling message to Israel.

He did not mention Nasrallah – but slammed Israel for the massive blitz on Lebanon.

Khamenei said Lebanon would make Israel “regret their actions” and blasted the “shortsighted and foolish” policies of Israeli leaders.

He claimed Israel was “too small” to cause any damage to Hezbollah.

However, there have been multiple reports as of this morning suggesting that Khamenei has been moved to a safe hideout inside Iran, prompting speculations that he too could be on Israel’s hit list.

Dr Alan added: “Israel has already shown its ability to strike inside Iran with missiles and assassinations, so Ayatollah Khamenei will certainly be aware that he is an Israeli target.

“Israel will need a plan like the one it has deployed against Hezbollah in recent months in order to ensure that this is not simply one assassination but part of a concerted and concentrated assault against the whole of Iran’s leadership and the Islamic State’s ability to defend itself.”

Fitbit owners warned official website will close down forever in just days – what does it mean for you?

FITBIT owners have been warned that the official website will close down forever in just days.

Google recently revealed it will probably never make another Fitbit-branded smartwatch again.

And Fitbit users are now facing another blow after reporters that Fitbit.com will be closed down by the end of September.

As spotted by 9to5Google, Fitbit.com is now adorned with a banner that reads: “On 10/1 the Fitbit store is moving. Shop Fitbit on Google Store.”

When you land on Google Store, a new greeting says: “You made it! Google Store is your new home for all things Fitbit. Start shopping below or get help with your Fitbit account here.”

Back in August, Google unveiled the Pixel Watch 3 at its Made by Google 2024 event.

The tech giant will never make another Fitbit Sense or Versa model, instead focusing on Fitbit-branded fitness tackers such as the Inspire, Luxe, and Charge ranges.

Parent company Google has also recently stripped Fitbit of fan-favourite features such as leadership boards with friends.

Previously, the tech giant phased out Fitbit Pay as it rolls out Google Wallet support to Fitbit devices.

The feature allows customers to make contactless payments with their Fitbit wearable device, instead of with their physical card.

It very much works in the same way to Google Wallet and Apple Pay.

However, there has been some good news for wearers of the technology recently.

While Google might not be making any more Fitbit smartwatches, the company still has plans for the brand.

“We are very committed to Fitbit, and even more importantly to the customers that use and depend on those products and technology,” the company said last month.

Earlier this month, Fitbit updated its app so that every customer could get access to their daily readiness score.

This feature that was once locked behind the still-annoying Fitbit Premium paywall.

Now, Fitbit is rolling out some welcome updates to its Android and iPhone apps that should make it easier for you to see and understand all your health and fitness data.

Google also praised Fitbit for paving the way for many of the Pixel Watch 3’s health and fitness features, which it said owed much to “Fitbit’s innovation and ground-breaking fitness advancements.”

The tech giant also said they would “continue to see new products and innovation from Fitbit,” although exactly what that means remains to be seen.

Right now you can still buy both the Fitbit Sense 2 and the Fitbit Versa 4 from Google.com.

It appears that Google is not in a hurry to stop selling them.

With both devices recently reaching their second birthdays, however, you might want to pick one up sooner rather than later.

          How to update my Fitbit

You can update your Fitbit at any time by ensuring your device is near your phone with the Fitbit app open.

Go to the Today tab, then find Device, where you should see your Fitbit model’s image.

Tap on the pink Update button.

If you don’t see it here, it means there is no update available to you at the moment.

Remember, updates are rolled out in phases so you will receive it at some point.
