Strictly fix row kicks off as Olympian Tom Dean is eliminated over ‘weaker’ dancer in dance-off – leaving fans furious

STRICTLY fans have branded the show a fix after fan-favourite Tom Dean was booted off the show in tonight’s first elimination.

Olympic gold medallist Tom, 24, found himself in the dance off against singer and actress Toyah Willcox, 66.

Both couples performed their routines again, as Tom and pro dancer Nadiya Bychkova performed their Cha Cha to Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind & Fire.

Toyah and Neil Jones then took to the dancefloor for their Jive to Nutbush City Limits by Ike & Tina Turner.

80s punk icon Toyah landed at the bottom with Neil Jones, scoring a total combined score of 30, and Tom found himself in ninth place with 46 points.

After both couples danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Toyah and Neil and Motsi Mabuse also picked to save the same couple.

But Anton Du Beke thought Tom and Nadiya danced better and voted to save him.

With two votes for Toyah and Neil, and one vote for Tom and Nadiya, Head Judge Shirley Ballas had the deciding vote and chose to save Toyah and Neil.

When asked by Tess about his time on the show, Tom said: “I’ve had the best time the last few weeks and getting to work with Nadiya has been incredible.

“I wish I could have gone further and done more dances.”

“I’ve had the most fun and I wish we could keep going longer and longer. We’ll still go out for loads of brunches I’m sure.”

Nadiya added: “To get to know him, he’s not just a three-time Olympic champion he’s a true gentleman and he taught me how to work really hard and how to put everything in.

“And you know what? On this programme, sometimes to win, you don’t need to win, and that’s how I feel this year.”

Sunday’s Results Show also featured a routine from the judges and professional dancers to When Doves Cry by Prince.

The remaining 14 couples will take to the dancefloor next week in a spectacular Movie Week Special when Strictly Come Dancing returns.

Spoiler Alert

The vote off may not come as a surprise to some as late last night the results were leaked online by a notorious mole.

The Sun chose not to reveal the celebrity who was booted off, but fans were stunned that the Olympian was given the boot.

One viewer fumed: “How can they save who they saved, seriously?!”

A second retweeted the spoiler results on their X account and wrote: “Give over… This makes me so sad.”

A third posted: “Sorry but what that Strictly spoiler,” followed by sad emojis.

This person shared: “Me reading the #StrictlySpoiler and finding out who was eliminated. Kinda Shocked.”

While another added: “People who post spoilers of competitive TV shows #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing are genuinely the worst
Like why???”

Yesterday, Tasha Ghouri and her pro partner Aljaz Škorjanec topped the leaderboard with a solid score of 65 – as last week’s scores were added to last night’s.

Tasha’s dad was left in floods of tears as the pair broke the record for the highest scoring week two Viennese Waltz in Strictly’s history.

Meanwhile, there was a highly emotional moment for actor and singer Shayne Ward, who bravely addressed the ‘difficult week’ he’d had.

Shayne found himself falling victim to cruel trolls following his debut on the dance floor with Nancy Xu last week.

He admitted: “It’s been a very tough week. I just focus on the people that love me, that’s all that matters.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Second Week Scores

As is tradition, the first week scores are rolled over and combined into the second week. Here’s how the leaderboard now looks after the combined scores

  1. Tasha and Aljaz = 65 (30+35)
  2. Sarah and Vito = 62 (30+32)
  3. JB and Amy = 58 (31+27)
  4. Montell and Johannes = 56 (26+30)
  5. Wynne and Katya = 56 (26+30)
  6. Shayne and Nancy = 52 (21+31)
  7. Chris and Dianne = 52 (23+29)
  8. Jamie and Michelle = 50 (23+27)

M&S fans are loving a ‘cosy and comfortable’ dress that’s mega ‘flattering’ and great for the chilly weather

IS your wardrobe in need of a bit of an update for the chilly weather?

Well, look no further than Marks & Spencer for the perfect autumn staple.

You can pick up the trendy dress in stores and online right now[/caption]

The stylish dress doesn’t just look great, but the cosy material will help keep you warm too, whether you’re running errands or at work.

Priced at just £39.50, the Soft Touch Button Through Midaxi Dress is a must-have for any fashion fan this season.

Don’t wait to get your hands on it though, it’s sure to sell out quick.

The stunning garment is made from a viscose-blend fabric and cut in slim fit with a collared neck.

The flattering midaxi length also makes it super easy to dress up or down, making it the perfect day-to-night piece for your wardrobe.

Happy shoppers have left rave reviews of the dress online, with one person writing: “Lovely flattering, comfortable dress which will be great in winter. I sized up from 12 to 14 so it would slim my lumps!”

“This is a lovely soft and cosy dress which will be perfect in the cooler weather,” a second said.

And a third commented: “Lovely style not too clingy, nice soft material. Looks more expensive than it is.”

Better still, the dress has very little in the way of criticism online with it’s lowest rating coming in at three stars.

“The fabric is soft and I’m sure will be warm, but the dress is very long,” one person pointed out.

“It’s slim fit so I sized up but it does reveal all the bumps, the sleeves are long and quite loose – so sadly it’s tight where it shouldn’t be and loose where it should be snug,” they continued.

If you want to get your hands on some other fashion picks from Marks & Spencer there’s also a stylish bag shoppers are loving.

The great British store has released a brand new Cos dupe ahead of autumn – and it’ll save you an eye-watering £305.

The £45 M&S Collection Quilted Shoulder Bag is a dead ringer for Cos’ £350 Quilted Oversized Crossbody Bag in black leather.

“This shoulder bag is a standout choice with its striking quilted design,” M&S bosses said.

“It’s made in a contemporary slouchy silhouette, with a zip fastening to keep your essentials secure.

“Internal zipped and slip pockets help you stay organised.”

Fashionistas who have already nabbed the bag have left it sparkling reviews on the M&S website.

One reads: “I love this bag.

“It’s a lovely soft material and it’s big, so it fits lots in.

“And it looks very premium – I’ve had lots of compliments from people thinking it’s designer.”

Another says: “It’s a great size and really soft, like a soft leather but stronger.

“It looks great and I am going to be using it a lot.”

Cos bosses recognise that their quilted bag – which went viral on TikTok last autumn as a “season essential” – is a style icon.

The must-have colour for autumn wardrobes

WHEN it comes to colour, one in particular has dominated the A/W runways.

Maroon has been seen on big-name designer catwalks such as Tom Ford, Gucci, Valentino and Versace, to name a few.

Perfect to mix with your current wardrobe, don’t think that this deep shade is just for the colder months.

It’s also great to wear at this time of year and one you can continue wearing throughout the rest of the year and beyond.

Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend said: “There’s something about maroon’s deep, rich colour that instantly makes you look well put-together and expensive.”

The price list for the luxury collection sparked debate when it was revealed earlier today but was clearly not too pricey to put punters off.

Maebe’s “ultimate blazer” is priced at an £140, while the white tee is £35 and a pair of jeans £90.

The “contour popper top” is £50, while an office-friendly white shirt will set you back £65.

Those who missed out on the first run of clothes will have to now wait two weeks until the items are restocked.

Molly-Mae, 25, announced her fashion label on September 9 following much speculation on TikTok

The mum-of-one said Maebe had been “three years in the making”.

The light grey jacket is one of Molly-Mae’s favourite, as exclusively revealed to The Sun.

She told us: “The Ultimate Blazer is my absolute favourite, it’s the piece when we were designing the collection that I have been the most excited with.

“The quality is beautiful and it’s a piece I know I will wear over and over again.”

Speaking about the launch, which came just weeks after her five year relationship with Tommy Fury came to an end, she said: “When I became a mum, I changed a lot as a person and different things became important to me in terms of fashion, it was the right time to launch Maebe. I was really ready to sink my teeth into something new.

“I have a really good feeling about this new era of my life and think it’s going to be so special and a great thing for me to focus on and put my time into as well as being a mum to Bambi.”

She continued to the MailOnline: “It was really good timing for this to happen for me. It has all just aligned perfectly really. I am so excited about it… I really do have an amazing feeling about the brand. I see Maebe having a huge future.

“I know if I make the right steps with it and I do this well, I do genuinely see it becoming really huge and being one of those brands that everybody knows and that’s my dream and my goal.”

Dramatic moment pitch invader is KNOCKED OUT by security during rugby match – but wakes up and asks for his beer

A PITCH invader was knocked out by the security during a Rugby Championship Test match in South Africa.

The incident occurred on Sunday at the Mbombela Stadium after several spectators invaded the pitch during Springboks clash against Argentina.

The incident occurred on Sunday at the Mbombela Stadium

The disruptive spectator who was tackled by security and knocked out to the ground is reportedly in good health.

Rumours of the fan suffering a crushed shoulder or even death have been debunked.

As the victorious Springboks were conducting post-match interviews and photos near the tunnel the crowd watched in dismay as the fan face-planted spectacularly behind them.

After being escorted off the field by provincial paramedics, the spectator was treated on-site and released shortly afterwards, without requiring hospitalisation.

According to Mpumalanga Department of Health spokesperson Christopher Nobela, the individual was simply intoxicated and even asked for his beer after being discharged.

Pitch security faced challenges as multiple spectators invaded the field, showing off impressive evasive footwork.

Although most were stopped relatively unscathed one managed to weave past five lines of defence running from the northern stands to the southern end before a security guard brought him down with a hard tackle.

The incident somewhat marred what was otherwise a successful showcase of Mbombela’s ability to host a sold-out international sporting event.

Some media professionals who travelled from across the country remarked that such invasions rarely occur at larger stadiums.

Mbombela Stadium manager Roelf Kotze who was still gathering details about the incident this morning attributed it to excessive alcohol consumption.

He added that while it may start out as funny sometimes a hard tackle is needed to bring the crowd back in line.
