Madonna is working on a brand new album as she teams up with producer behind one of her biggest hits

SHE roared Chelsea to victory on Saturday as she sat in the stands with her boyfriend Akeem Morris.

But the Blues aren’t the only winner Madonna is on to, as she has confirmed she’s gone back into the studio with top producer Stuart Price.

Producer Stuart Price worked on Madonna’s 2005 album Confessions On A Dance Floor[/caption]

He is best known for his work on her 2005 smash hit album Confessions On A Dance Floor, which featured the No1 hit Hung Up.

They reconnected last year when he worked as the musical director on her critically acclaimed Celebration Tour.

And insiders have confirmed to me Madge and Stu are going to be making magic once they’re back in the booth — with a new album in their sights.

A source said: “Stuart was credited with helping Madonna return to form with their Confessions album, so for her to start working again with him is hugely exciting.

“That record was incredible and Madonna is excited about what they can come up with.

“It has been five years since she released Madame X, which was a concept album and Madonna is ready to put down some new tunes.

“Working with Stu on her tour reignited the spark. She has fire in her belly and cannot wait to get started.”

Madge confirmed she was in London to work with Stu last night and shared photos of herself at Stamford Bridge.

When she worked with Stu on Confessions, Madge recorded most of the album at his home studio, which is where sources told me the Queen of Pop will be for the next few weeks.

Stu, who worked on three of Madge’s previous tours, revealed last year how she had tapped him up to come on board for her Celebration tour.

He said: “When she announced the greatest hits tour I called her just to say, ‘Congratulations, I think this is a great idea.’

“And she said, ‘I was just thinking about you, and I thought you’d be the perfect person to work with on this.’

“So two weeks later, I went to New York.”

Stu has previously worked with Dua Lipa, The Killers, George Ezra and Take That.

And given his track record with Madge, I think it’s fair to say fans have got a lot to look forward to.

I’ve had back aches for ages – I can only stand for a few minutes before it’s unbearable

FIDGETY, disruptive, forgetful – these are symptoms of ADHD that you may be aware of.

But it can affect people in many ways, and as October is ADHD Awareness month, this a great time to discuss them.

Sun columnist Dr Zoe advises readers on their health[/caption]

The rise in the awareness of ADHD is reflected in the huge pressure on NHS diagnosis services.

ADHD doesn’t come and go or cause the odd behaviour change, such as an inability to put laundry away or pay a bill. It affects daily life. It’s also not just about being hyper or naughty.

People with ADHD tend to have trouble with executive function, aka the “management system” of the brain.

This makes managing time and emotions difficult.

An individual’s experience of ADHD can vary greatly. But neurodiversity – the range of differences in how brains work – can also be celebrated.

With more awareness, the world can hopefully better support those with conditions such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia to thrive.

Here’s a selection of what readers have asked me this week.

a man in a plaid shirt is holding his back in pain
Standing for only a few minutes makes the pain across the bottom of my back unbearable

Q) I AM a man of 75 and although I have had back aches for a long time, just lately it’s been really bad.

I only have to stand for a few minutes and the pain across the bottom of my back is unbearable. Could this have anything to do with having two false hips?

A) It’s not common to get back pain severely after having false hips – around one in ten patients experience back pain post surgery that haven’t had it before.

It can occur post surgery temporarily as you recover but it should alleviate and get better with motion and mobility during recovery.

If you’re still under any type of care for your hip replacements, speak to your consultant or surgeon or physiotherapist about it as they should be able to advise you on what to do.

If you’re no longer under their care, speak to your GP and see what physiotherapy services are available in your area.

In some parts of the country you can self refer for physiotherapy.

There is a good chance that if you had degeneration of the hip joints sufficient to require surgery, then you may have degenerative changes in the bones and discs of the lower back too.

It’s worth having a look at your own posture generally too.

When you sit, is your chair or sofa supportive?

Are you slouching, when you stand up straight, are you hunched over or leaning on something?

A quick Google search will show you a lot of good posture guides where you can see how you compare to an ideal posture.

Whilst you have pain when standing it is important to try to maintain as much flexibility and strength as possible.

Chair based exercise, pilates or swimming may be some good options for you to try.

Struggle to manage wife’s skin issues

Q: MY wife has Alzheimer’s and has got a very sore area of skin around her anus.

This problem started in January and after using over-the-counter creams like Germolene, we were referred to a dermatologist and prescribed both fungal and bacterial creams, which have had no effect.

The problem is made worse as my wife is not able to maintain normal hygiene procedures after going to the toilet.

I was wondering what cream I can buy over the counter to numb the area.

A: You sound like an incredibly patient and kind carer for your wife, so thank you for writing in and advocating so well for someone you love who might struggle to advocate for themselves.

Has the area been assessed for infection?

If you’ve been referred then I’m assuming it has been assessed by a doctor or nurse and skin infection ruled out with a swab?

If not I would recommend this.

If your wife is confined to the house, then a district nurse could help, which your GP can arrange.

Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs the area where you use it. It comes in a cream or a gel preparation that can be applied to the perianal skin.

It would be best to speak with the doctor or nurse who saw her first to see if they recommend this.

The other option would be a haemorrhoid treatment, which can be bought over-the-counter.

Some contain lidocaine mixed with hydrocortisone, a mild steroid.

They come as creams, ointments, sprays and suppositories.

Finally, it’s worth contacting people like the Alzheimer’s Society if you haven’t already.

You can find them at alzheimers.org.uk and the charity also has a Dementia Support Line that you can call if you’d prefer – 0333 150 3456.

They will have nurses who will have experience of what your wife is going through and they can advise you both accordingly.

Tip of the week

THE NHS recommends everyone take a vitamin D supplement from October to March because there is less sunlight.

Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones, and 10 micrograms per day is enough for most people.

This might be written as 10 μg (equivalent to 400 IU) on the box.

He likes sweet not savoury after stroke

Q: MY 80-year-old husband had a stroke four years ago. He recovered quite well but he lost his taste for savoury foods.

He’s only eating sweet foods, such as cakes, sweets and puddings. He can’t enjoy a roast or a steak any more because he just can’t taste them, so he’s not getting the nutrition he needs.

a scoop of ice cream with chocolate sauce and a cherry on top
My husband suffered a stroke and is now only eating sweet foods, such as cakes, sweets and puddings

He’s had tests and an MRI scan but they couldn’t find anything wrong. He is so frustrated by this.

A: While it’s not a terribly common disability, if a stroke damages the parts of the brain that are responsible for interpreting signals about taste and smell you can end up with no smell or taste at all.

But it also means you can end up with a taste for certain foods and an aversion to ones you may once have enjoyed.

The issue, as you rightly point out, is that nutrition with only sweet foods isn’t ideal.

Eating high-sugar foods constantly can affect mood because you deal with sugar highs and lows. It can also result in weight gain and dental issues if the teeth are constantly under attack from sugar.

It might be worth getting in touch with your husband’s stroke nurse to see if they can offer any advice and a dietician may be able to make some suggestions, perhaps about ways to sweeten some savoury foods.

There’s also the Stroke Association (stroke.org.uk) who can help with advice related to taste and smell. Your GP is obviously aware of the issue as you say your husband has had MRIs, but there are other conditions that need to be ruled out that could be causing the change in taste including diabetes, medications, infections and conditions like dementia and Parkinson’s.

In the meantime while you await further investigations, there are naturally sweet foods he can eat that are of nutritional value.

Things like sweet potatoes, bananas, porridge with cinnamon and honey, flapjacks, granola and yoghurt will all appeal to a sweet palate but they’re slow release energy and will be better nutritionally for him than highly processed packaged foods.

Huge Brit pop star raked in eye-watering £137k a DAY last year – before performing a single gig

THE beers are on Ed Sheeran after he enjoyed an eye-watering £50million turnover last year – before performing a single gig.

The superstar’s music firm lodged its profits at Companies House yesterday, with documents showing that Ed Sheeran Limited – which deals with earnings from the writing, recording and production of music – netted £137,000 A DAY.

Superstar Ed Sheeran netted £137,000 a day last year[/caption]

Ed pocketed £14million for himself following the release of two No1 albums: Subtract in May 2023 and Autumn Variations a few months later.

The figures cover the 12 months up to December 31, 2023, but do not include earnings from any of his live shows.

He is expected to lodge those separately in the coming months.

In 2022 he had a tour turnover of £145million, so he can expect another bumper pay day before the end of the year.

Ed, who has a net worth of £340million, has continued on his hugely lucrative Mathematics world tour, and just this week has been making more dosh from it.

He has released a box set called +-=÷× (Tour Collection) which is on course to become his eighth Top Ten album this Friday.

Ed is on a break from his tour before it kicks off again next May and I’m sure that the time off means one thing – there’s new music on the way.

That boy never stops.

But it is certainly paying off for him.

KYLIE MINOGUE was grinning from ear to ear on a night out in London after shifting hundreds of thousands of tickets for her upcoming tour.

She will hit the road for her Tension Tour next summer – and nine of her arena shows have already sold out after tickets went on sale on Friday.

Kylie, who looked radiant in this dress on Sunday evening, yesterday announced three extra shows in London, Birmingham and Glasgow to meet demand.

The news comes a fortnight before her album Tension II – which is a sequel to last year’s No1 album Tension – will be released.

If she can top the charts yet again, she will have a good reason to keep on beaming.

Liam's help for sick

LIAM PAYNE may be taking a break from the spotlight but he’s still putting his fame and fortune to good use.

The Strip That Down singer has been quietly spending his evenings helping the GoFundMe pages of sick children in America reach their fundraising goals.

The kids all need life-saving operations – which they have to pay for in the US – with some battling cancer, while one is a victim of a school shooting.

Liam says that being a dad to son Bear, who he shares with former partner Cheryl, means he can’t just sit back and not help.

The former One Direction singer said on Snapchat: “As a father, it hits me differently. I would want everyone in the world helping.

“I have been spending the last few nights trying to finish off the donations so they can get the operations they need. They would be free in my country.

“I can’t look at a sick child and not see Bear. I can’t and I won’t.

“I’m not asking for people to say well done or I’m amazing – I don’t give a f*** about what people think of me.

“What I care about is that that child gets to live the life it’s supposed to.”

Good on him.

CARDI B is continuing to make jaws drop at Paris Fashion Week, just three weeks after giving birth to her third baby.

The rapper looked incredible in this silver cut-out dress at a party thrown by fashion site FWRD on Sunday night.

She was positively beaming, despite a recent online spat with her ex-husband, rapper Offset, who claimed she had sex with another man while she was pregnant with his child.

Given he is back in the US, I can see why she is making the most of her time far away from him in France.

Marina and the shrooms

MARINA DIAMANDIS says taking magic mushrooms has been a “game changer” in her battle with chronic fatigue syndrome.

The singer, who previously performed under the name Marina & The Diamonds, opened up last year about the condition, also known as ME, saying it left her feeling like she had been “poisoned”.

But she now feels in a much better place after “proper trips” on the hallucinogenic fungi, which contain compound psilocybin. She told the Chronic Comeback podcast: “I started to do psilocybin trips with the intention of finding out ways to heal.”

But Marina, who is expected to release a new album next year, said that she won’t be rushing back to the drug.

She added: “I’ve done about five [trips] in the past six months and they have been game changers.

“I had an instinct that I needed to continue and the instinct was right. Now I’m done for a long time.”

NICOLE SCHERZINGER put on a bloody good show as she greeted fans after kicking off the Broadway run of musical Sunset Boulevard.

The Pussycat Dolls star got rave reviews when she played the lead role of Norma Desmond in London last year, but she has taken it up another level in New York.

She got two standing ovations and brought audience members to tears in just the first half of one performance at the weekend.

Way to go, Nic.

Jade's big plans for vid shoot

JADE THIRLWALL is jetting to Los Angeles to shoot the big-budget music video for her second solo single, out in a few weeks.

I’m told the former Little Mix singer will work with top director David LaChapelle, who has taken charge of some of pop’s most iconic clips.

David was the mastermind behind Christina Aguilera’s racy video for Dirrty and Britney Spears’ Everytime – but this will be his first video in almost a decade.

A source said: “Jade is working flat out but still can’t believe her luck that David has agreed to head up her next video.

“She will fly to LA this week and then the video will be filmed over four consecutive days.

“They both have big plans for what they want to achieve.

“Like with her debut Angel Of My Dreams, Jade has full-on choreography planned.”

AFTER scoring their third Top Ten album with People Like Me & You last summer, The Sherlocks are wasting no time bringing out new music.

The Brit rockers have cut record Everything Must Make Sense, which can be pre-ordered now before its release on February 21.

COMIC JASON MANFORD is a member of the mile high club. Asked whether he had ever got down and dirty on a plane, he told pal Alan Carr‘s Life’s A Beach podcast: “Yes. I’m not giving you any more details. Twenty years ago now.” He’s a dark horse.

Wolfs ending explained: Who was behind final plot twist in Brad Pitt & George Clooney comedy crime film on Apple TV+

GEORGE George Clooney and Brad Pitt are reunited in Apple TV’s movie Wolfs for the first time since the Coen brothers’ black comedy Burn After Reading (2008).

Here’s everything you need to know about the film, including what the hell happened at the end.

PA
Clooney and Pitt’s characters start out at odds before joining forces and working together[/caption]
PA
Until the ‘Wolfs’ realise things may not be quite as they seem[/caption]

What is the plot of Wolfs?

George Clooney and and Brad Pitt play two “fixers” — people hired to solve problems you can’t take to anyone else — not unlike the legendary Winston Wolfe from Quentin Tarantino‘s Pulp Fiction (1994).

Despite insisting on only working alone, both men are hired to move the body of ‘the Kid’ — a love interest of Manhattan District Attorney Margaret.

Margaret says the Kid is “definitely not a prostitute” after he seems to die in a freak accident in her hotel room.

The pair are forced to work together, despite having different employers, and must overcome their personal dislike of each other in order to get the job done.

However, all is not as it seems when it is revealed that the Kid is still alive and has ties to the Albanian Mafia.

Who is in the cast of Wolfs?

George Clooney

Clooney is the first fixer to arrive on the scene to clear up the DA’s mess in Wolfs.

While the long-time Hollywood A-lister needs no introduction to most viewers, his most famous roles include Danny Ocean in the Oceans Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen trilogy (2001-07).

He’s also taken on some of the most famous space roles in modern cinema, playing Dr Chris Kelvin in Solaris and Matt Kowalski in Gravity.

Brad Pitt

Splash
Brad Pitt plays Pam’s Man, another fixer, in Wolfs[/caption]

Pitt is the second Wolf hired to clean up after Margaret, which is where the dilemma in the movie stems from.

Another member of Hollywood royalty, Pitt is best known for parts including Tyler Durden in Fight Club (1999) and Jeffrey Goines in Twelve Monkeys (1995).

His more recent movies include Babylon, Bullet Train and The Lost City, all released in 2022.

Austin Abrams

The Mega Agency

Austin Abrams takes on the role of the Kid in Wolfs — DA Margaret’s ‘lover’ who is definitely not a prostitute.

Although it may initially seem that he doesn’t have much in the way of acting to do as he spends much of the first act seemingly dead, his character certainly comes to life as the film progresses.

Fans may recognise him TV shows including Euphoria (2019) and The Walking Dead (2015-16).

Amy Ryan

Splash
Amy Ryan plays DA Margaret[/caption]

Amy Ryan features as Manhattan District Attorney Margaret, whose mess the two Wolfs go about cleaning up as they are drawn into ever more complicated scenario.

She is known for blockbuster movies including Birdman (2014), Gone Baby Gone (2007) and Escape Plan (2013).

Amy has also had roles in some of the best-loved TV shows of all time, including playing Holly Flax in The Office (2008-11) and Beadie Russell in The Wire (2003-08)

How does Wolfs end?

By the end of the film, Clooney and Pitt’s characters have survived several deadly ordeals and realise they didn’t hate working together as much as they’d made out throughout the job’s duration.

However, in one final shock twist, the two characters realise that they have been working for the same person all along.

Brad, who was hired by hotel owner Pam, and Clooney, who was hired by DA Margaret, realise they’ve been set up.

Clooney’s fixer asks Pitt’s: “So what did [Pam] say to you to get you to work with me? What did she say? Did she have a whole leverage?”

“She said I didn’t have a choice,” Clooney replies.

Pitt then adds: “You take a job, you give your word, and that word’s the measure of the man.”

Recognising the phrase as one he heard Margaret say at the start of the caper, Clooney stops in his tracks as he’s about to leave the diner as realisation dawns on him.

He says: “In the car to June’s, who called you? It was your guy. The guy that Pam got your number from. Your guy.”

PA
At the end of the movie the two ‘Wolfs’ realise they’ve been set up[/caption]

“So she must have called him,” Pitt replies, prompting Clooney to enquire: “But then why call me?”

“But who called…” Pitt trails off as the penny drops. “You’re saying the D.A. got your number… No!”

“Yeah,” Clooney confirms, as Pitt says it out loud: “We have the same guy.”

“But why does he care?” Clooney asks. “It’s just a clean-up job.”

They come to the conclusion that, unless he knew about the drugs, their ‘guy’ wouldn’t care.

“Kid’s dead, he can’t make the drop, so he calls us,” Pitt theorises, as Clooney puts two and two together: “One at a time, but nobody answers.”

“So he sent someone else,” Pitt says, as the pair work out that once the mastermind realised the kid was still alive, he planned for the two wolfs to go into the drug deal themselves instead, so they would be held responsible for the drugs’ disappearance.

“We were getting cleaned,” they say in unison, realising they were supposed to take the wrap and be killed — and are about to be involved in another shoot-out.

The movie ends with the fixers about to take on their would-be assassins, and they promise to finally exchange names if they make it out alive.

How to watch Wolfs

You can catch Wolfs on Apple TV+.

It dropped on the platform on Friday, September 27, 2024.

A monthly subscription costs $6.99 per month, but there is a seven-day free trial.

Will there be a sequel to Wolfs?

The film’s writer and director Johnathan “Jon” Watts has confirmed that a sequel is being considered.

He said: “Apple’s been talking to me about a sequel since I turned in my cut in December [2023].

“That’s always been an ongoing discussion. I absolutely did not write the movie with a sequel in mind.

“But it was very fun to make, so I don’t know, I think you let the audience decide if they want to see more.”

Barcelona ready to make stunning £60m Mason Greenwood bid – but face two-horse transfer race with PSG for ex-Man Utd ace

BARCELONA are set to make a summer bid for Mason Greenwood – but face a major fight for the forward.

Greenwood has enjoyed a brilliant start to his career at Marseille, scoring five goals in six games for the French side.

Barcelona are lining up a move for Mason Greenwood after his flying start at Marseille[/caption]

Scouts from the Nou Camp have watched four of Greenwood’s games so far.

And SunSport understands they are prepared to bid as much as £60m for the former Manchester United star, who they were tracking last season.

Barcelona know that Greenwood can play in LaLiga after impressing there last term while on loan for Getafe.

And they’ve now made securing the 22-year-old one of their priorities for the summer.

But Greenwood’s impressive start to the season has also caught the eye of Paris Saint-Germain, who are desperate to add to their firepower.

They’ve also sent scouts to watch the former England international and would have no trouble matching Barcelona if the clubs became embroiled in a bidding war.

And sources say Greenwood would welcome the idea of remaining in France long-term, having settled quickly in the country.

A source said: “Mason loves France. He’s been welcomed with open-arms and is loving life in the league.”

FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS

SunSport’s revelation comes days after reports claimed Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich were also tracking the player.

Neither club is believed to have sent scouts to watch him this season.

But Greenwood is quickly emerging as one of the most coveted players in Europe.

His success in France comes at the same time as former club Manchester United endure a torrid period.

They were booed off on Sunday following a 3-0 home defeat to Spurs.

And Erik ten Hag – who never wanted Greenwood to leave the club – is now under pressure with two wins and three defeats in six Premier League matches.

The Traitors star in talks for I’m A Celeb after losing out on Strictly

A TRAITORS star is in talks to take part in this year’s I’m a Celebrity, The Sun can exclusively reveal.

The 23-year-old had hoped to land a place on Strictly Come Dancing but is now in meetings with bosses at ITV.

Harry Clarke won The Traitors earlier this year and scooped the £95,000 prize money.

Now he’s eyeing up a stint in the jungle when I’m a Celebrity returns in November.

A TV insider told The Sun: “Harry has had meetings with ITV and is desperate to land a place in the jungle.

“He previously had meetings with Strictly and didn’t get it, they didn’t think he was a big enough name, so now he has set his sights on heading Down Under.

“Harry is really keen to land a big show before the next series of the traitors comes on, as he worries once there is another winner out there he stands less chance of landing other telly gigs.”

The Sun has contacted ITV for comment.

Harry previously confessed he’d love to do the show. During an appearance on Lorraine earlier this year he was quizzed on whether or not he’d become a campmate.

He said: “That would be top of my list, I’d love to do that.

“Any reality shows, I just love to be able to resonate with people at home who are from working class families like I was, and I’m still at home now with my mum and dad.”

In February we told how Harry had turned down a £250,000 offer to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house.

A source said: “He’s made no bones about the fact he fancies doing reality TV.

“And, although he was incredibly flattered by the offer, Celebrity Big Brother didn’t feel like the right project for him.”

Today it was reported Loose Women favourite and The Sun columnist Jane Moore is in “advanced talks” to take part in I’m a Celebrity in November.
