Xbox finally answers fans prayers and launches six games for Game Pass Standard

XBOX players have not been happy with the gaming company of late following a number of consumer-unfriendly decisions.

Earlier this year, there was an Xbox Game Pass price increase, but that wasn’t the only disappointing change.

Xbox Game Pass for Console was retired and Xbox Game Pass Standard replaced it.

Xbox might finally be returning to form[/caption]

The new service would come with online capability, but would not include the newest gaming releases.

Since the announcement, Xbox has seen a string of lacklustre Game Pass announcements, including far fewer games than before.

Not only this, but most of the games were new releases, meaning that the Xbox Game Pass Standard library has been quickly shrinking.

It appears that Xbox has heard the numerous complaints about Game Pass Standard, as this month fans are finally getting a decent number of games.

The first half of the month includes six games coming to the Standard library, and three more coming to Ultimate.

This is very similar to how Game Pass drops used to be before Xbox announced changes to the service.

Some have speculated that Xbox was reducing the number of games coming to Game Pass Standard in order to encourage people to subscribe to the more expensive Ultimate tier.

We’ll likely never know the reason that Xbox began to add significantly fewer games to Standard compared to Console, but the latest drop could be the start of a return to form.

However, this is just the first drop where gamers have received what they wanted out of a string of disappointing announcements.

We’ll have to wait for at least a few more months before we know if Xbox is going to return to giving subscribers what they’ve come to expect from the service.

Who is Frank Fritz’s ex-girlfriend Diann Bankson?

AMERICAN Pickers star Frank Fritz and his ex-girlfriend Diann Bankson dated on-and-off for years before their relationship ended with mutual accusations of infidelity.

Frank sadly passed away on October 1, 2024 at the age of 60, after he suffered a devastating stroke in 2022 — here’s everything we know about his ex Diann Bankson.

Who is Diann Bankson?

Diann Bankson is Frank Fritz’s ex-girlfriend.

They had a long-standing relationship that predated their public appearance as a couple in 2016.

The pair had an on-again, off-again dynamic that spanned several decades.

Their romance was characterized by ups and downs, leading to an engagement.

Controversies and legal issues

The relationship took a dramatic turn when Bankson publicly accused Fritz of infidelity, claiming she caught him in bed with another woman.

Bankson and Fritz got engaged in 2017 and were living together in his Iowa farmhouse at the time.

In November 2018, she “walked in and caught him in bed with another woman.”

After the two reconciled, she claimed an incident took place at the farmhouse when Frank and a friend set off fireworks.

In January 2021, Bankson filed a lawsuit against Fritz, alleging negligence related to fireworks that resulted in her suffering third-degree burns.

Diann claimed the men “had been drinking” at the time, as she went into the home while they lit the fireworks.

She continued in the court papers that the men were unable to light a firework.

Diann alleged: “Both defendants then put it in a closed cylinder vintage ashtray and tried to light it there.

“The firework did not light again and the Defendant just left it in the covered intake ashtray instead of properly disposing the firework.”

She then claimed that she wasn’t warned about the ashtray, as she used it while smoking a cigarette.

The lawsuit continued to claim: “The ashtray blew up severely burning her hand and arm with third degree burns and burnt off eyelashes and eyebrows.”

She sought $50,000 for damages, including pain and suffering, but dropped the lawsuit just two months later.

Mutual accusations

Both Fritz and Bankson made serious allegations against each other.

Fritz claimed that Bankson had an affair for two and a half years during their time together and attributed his struggles with alcohol to the emotional toll of their relationship.

Conversely, Bankson maintained her accusations regarding Fritz’s infidelity.

Following their separation in 2019, tensions remained high.

Fritz changed the locks on a shared home in Iowa, effectively locking Bankson out.

In interviews after their breakup, both expressed a desire to move on but also hinted at lingering resentment and unresolved issues.

Following the split, Bankson said: “I don’t care to have drama or chaos in my life, I’m just trying to heal right now. It’s been two years, I’m ready to move on.”

Mysterious ancient throne for 1,300-year-old Queen from advanced lost civilisation known as ‘Greeks of the Andes’ found

AN ANCIENT throne linked to an ancient civilisation known as the “Greeks of the Andes” has been unearthed.

Archaeologists have discovered a mysterious throne and murals in Peru, and the discovery indicates a powerful female rule reigned supreme 1,300 years ago.

Evidence uncovered by archaeologists point to a woman ruling in a coastal valley during the ancient Moche culture

Researchers found an ancient throne room decorated with powerful women intertwined with sea creatures and representations of a crescent moon sitting on the throne receiving guests.

The woman depicted in the throne murals is associated with symbols of the crescent moon, the sea and its creatures, and the arts of spinning and weaving.

The discoveries were made at the Panamarca site near the Pacific coast.

The site is located more than 250 miles north of the Peruvian capital Lima.

Jessica Ortiz, research director for the project at the Panamarca archaeological site on Peru’s northwest coast, said the ancient murals “could indicate it was a woman who used the space, possibly a ruler.”

Archaeologist Jose Ochatoma said: “The most exciting thing is the traces of wear.”

Researchers also found evidence of human hair and wear on the stone, indicating the throne was used by a person.

Ochatoma added: “There is not a surface in this area that is bare.

“Everything is painted and finely decorated with mythological scenes and characters.”

Archaeologists believe the throne room dates from the 7th century, when the Moche culture occupied the coastal valleys of northwestern Peru.

Ochatoma said the room “captured scenes belonging to the Moche ideology.”

Nearby, researchers discovered another room with murals showing warriors, anthropomorphised weapons and a monster chasing a man.

The Andean nation is rich in archaeological sites, many dating back thousands of years.

Lisa Trever, professor of art history at Columbia University, said: “Pañamarca continues to surprise us, not only for the ceaseless creativity of its painters but also because their works are overturning our expectations of gender roles in the ancient Moche world.”

It was home more than 500 years ago to the Inca empire that dominated swathes of South America’s highlands until the arrival of Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century.

Ochatoma said: “We are discovering an iconography that has not been seen before in the pre-Hispanic world.”

The Moche is famous for its elite tombs, impressive architecture, detailed artistic representations, complex artifacts, and rich religious imagery.

History of the lost Moche civilisation

Dubbed the ‘Greeks of the Andes” the lost Moche Civilisation once ruled the north coast of Peru 2,000 years ago for more than 500 years.

It is believed the Moche civilisation flourished between 350 and 850 AD in the coastal valleys of northern Peru.

Archaeologists have unearthed some of the most fabulous pottery and jewellery linked ancient civilization.

The discovery shows the skillful Moche people were pioneers of metal working techniques like gilding and early forms of soldering.

These skills enabled them to create extraordinarily intricate artefacts; ear studs and necklaces, nose rings and helmets, many heavily inlaid with gold and precious stones.

The mysterious Moche left no written record but they did leave a fabulous account of their life and times in paintings on pots and vessels.

Many show everyday events and objects such as people, fish, birds and other animals. Others show scenes from what, at first sight, look like a series of battles.

Researchers also discovered the ancient civilisation engaged in ritual combat and human sacrifices.

Archaeologists and researchers are still unsure what caused the Moche civilisation to disappear, but believe that droughts could’ve played a part.
