Stacey Solomon’s future on Renovation Rescue revealed weeks after she bagged NTA for Sort Your Life Out series

DIY queen Stacey Solomon is on a high after her BBC show Sort Your Life Out bagged a National Television Award last month.

But I can reveal she will be saying goodbye to her Channel 4 programme, Renovation Rescue — which is a surprise given who is behind it.

The prestige programme is from Hello Sunshine, a production company headed by movie star Reese Witherspoon.

A TV insider said: “Stacey had a great time making Renovation Rescue but the fact she isn’t doing a second series allows her to focus on her projects with the Beeb.

“They’ve been a huge success and the NTA win is evidence that the viewing public love what she does.”

But in a twist of fate, just as Stacey leaves Channel 4, the channel is giving a new show to her fella, Joe Swash.

He is pairing up with bestselling food author and social media sensation Suzanne Mulholland — also known as The Batch Lady — in new six-parter Buy It, Batch It, Cook It.

Together they will meet a broad mix of families who need advice on how to make their food budgets go further, their menus more organised, and their meals better.

And their plan is simple — to cut meal prep times down to just one hour a week by batch cooking, freezing, and storing multiple meals.

Joe said: “Suzanne and I are hoping to give households the tools to not just save the pennies and the pounds, but also have more time to spend on being together as a family.”

And with Stacey giving up her renovation show, she and Joe will have more time together too.

Oasis fans secretly burying drugs in Heaton Park ahead of huge Manchester comeback gig

OASIS fans are said to have buried drugs in a park ten months before the band’s reunion gigs take place.

They boasted about the stashes in Manchester’s Heaton Park to addiction counsellors.

Oasis have also lined up concerts in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, the US, Canada and Mexico[/caption]

Be Here Now stars Oasis are set to play five concerts in the city in July after brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher ended their 15-year feud.

Drug and alcohol rehab facility Providence Project said: “We have spoken to members of the addiction community who have told us they have already stashed drugs in the park. We would warn organisers to be vigilant.”

Security at the shows will be tight, with sniffer dogs and bag searches.

But Providence Project experts said drug users bragged of planning to smuggle in drugs to the gigs in everything from glow sticks to cuddly toys and Oasis merchandise.

Some even plan to wear fake plaster casts with drugs inside.

Treatment centre chief Paul Spanjar said: “Whether it be the contaminated ecstasy tablet, cocaine-induced heart attack or cannabis-induced psychosis; the reality is whilst drug use feels relatively safe and socially acceptable, it’s still playing dice with death.”

Oasis have also lined up concerts in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, the US, Canada and Mexico.

This week the band ruled out using dynamic pricing in North America after fury from fans as British ticket prices soared amid huge demand.

But eagle-eyed fans have noticed how two professional stars appeared to have tension.

After Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec performed they joined Claudia Winkleman along with the other contestants to talk through their routine.

But in the background Strictly viewers noticed how Katya Jones appeared to sport an emotionless expression.

Its led to fans taking to a web forum to point out how Katya didn’t appear to be impressed as Aljaž and Tasha spoke.

One said: “I noticed Katya didn’t look very happy when Tess was talking to Aljaž and Tasha in the auditorium.”

Another posted: “I noticed that too. I wonder if Katya is the female pro who Aljaž ‘fell out with’ on the tour?

“Or I could just be reading too much into things as usual.”

The Sun previously revealed how cast and crew are furious over the return of dancer Aljaž Škorjanec — as it emerged he left the show under a cloud after a “shocking” altercation with a female professional.

Aljaž, 34, agreed to go after the incident on a boozy night out on the 2022 live tour.

The BBC denied an official complaint was made over the incident.

Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle hands herself into the police after attacking abusive husband Tom King – but there’s a twist

EMMERDALE’S Belle Dingle took a drastic step forward in a shocking turn of events.

Tuesday’s episode of Emmerdale saw Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor Draper) finally report to the police that she is a victim of domestic abuse.

This came after Belle visited her ex husband Tom King (James Chase) in hospital.

He believed they had struck a deal between them not to say it was her who attacked him, and in return, she would say she lied about calling him an “abuser.”

Belle agreed to his wishes as she told him: “Okay, I’ll do what you want.”

However, Belle was later seen at a police station where she handed over the axe that she struck him and confessed: “I’ve attacked my husband, in self defence, he wanted to kill me. I’m a victim of domestic abuse.”

Will Belle finally start to get justice?

How will the rest of the Dingle family react to the shocking turn of events?

Also in tonight’s episode, Mack was stressed to find the sheep have escaped and accused Moira who agreed not to go out alone.

Moira was adamant that it wasn’t her who left the gate open, but Mack failed to believe her.

Later, Isaac admitted that let the sheep out by accident, leaving Mack feeling guilty.

Meanwhile, Nicola tried to get to the bottom of what’s going on between Laurel and Charles.

When the truth came out that they slept together, Laurel was left torn when Nicola questioned why their fling was over.

Soon, Charles and Laurel discussed their fling and eventually decided that the responsible thing to do was call it a day.

Laurel prepared to give in her notice to the church as she confessed it’s too hard to be around him.

Can the passionate pair stay away from each other?

Darkest soap storylines

Over the years the likes of EastEndersEmmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock…

  • EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) – Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca’s adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police.
  • Emmerdale: Holly’s drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) – In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale’s first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose.
  • Hollyoaks: Luke’s rape (2000) – Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap’s first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs – who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance.
  • Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) – Just a mere mention of ‘Richard Hillman’ is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it’s not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn’t.
  • And Aaron was left intrigued when Mack suggested using John’s van to get rid of the smart-watches.

When John refused to let Aaron borrow his van, Aaron kicked his plan into motion by swiping the keys whilst John was distracted.

    Will he regret his decision?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

    How you can get help

Women's Aid has this advice for victims and their families:

    • Always keep your phone nearby.
    • Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
    • If you are in danger, call 999.
    • Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
    • Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
    • If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
    • Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse, SupportLine is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm on 01708 765200. The charity’s email support service is open weekdays and weekends during the crisis – messageinfo@supportline.org.uk.

Women’s Aid provides a live chat service – available weekdays from 8am-6pm and weekends 10am-6pm.

You can also call the freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247.
