Jurrien Timber started in Arsenal’s defence in their Champions League clash with PSG[/caption]
The defender was substituted at half time as a precautionary measure[/caption]
The Emirates faithful feared the Dutchman – who suffered a nasty ACL injury on the opening day of last season – had potentially crocked himself.
But he appeared to be injury-free as he was spotted leaving the Emirates.
Footage of Timber happily posing for photos with fans and seemingly being unimpaired as he moved around was captured after the match.
The accompanying caption for the video, which was shared on X, read: “Timber, subbed at half-time, looks fine.
“Happily posing with fans after.”
Arsenal fans worldwide breathed a huge sigh of relief, with one replying to the video: “Really good news if it was just a management sub.”
Another said: “Just managing his minutes, I think.”

CHANNEL 5 is bringing Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun back to screens, after green-lighting the show for a whopping 80-episode twelfth series.
The new series is produced by Red Sauce, but the production company’s creative director has revealed making this many episodes for one series has been “a real challenge.”

Get ready for more fun in the sun as the Bargain Loving Brits spin-off returns[/caption]
Get ready to head back to sunny Spain, as a new series of Bargain Loving Brits is on the way.
The hit series which launched in 2016 is a spin-off of Channel 5’s long-running show Bargain Loving Brits. Along with Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun, the TV franchise spawned another spin-off show, a British holiday series called Bargain Loving Brits by the Sea.
Bargain Loving Brits will make an exciting return to screens next year as Channel 5 has commissioned Red Sauce, part of the Zinc Media Group, to produce a further 80, 60-minute-long episodes following continued successful ratings for its current series.
Thrilled about the new series, Red Sauce’s Creative Director Tom Edwards said: “Just as we deliver the final shows in last year’s 136-episode order, we’re overjoyed to be returning to the Costas for another bumper series.”
The show’s longest series to date has been 40 episodes, so this is than double. The latest series in April 2024 was its shortest ever, with only 6 episodes.
Now Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun will be back bigger than ever – though Tom emphasised what a “challenge” it has been to make the show’s largest ever series.
“It’s been a real challenge to scale up what was a 6-part series into such high volume and I’m very proud we’ve done it so well,” he said.
“It’s fantastic also to be working with nearly 150 highly talented people to produce this perennially-loved series,” the creative director added.
The observational television series profiles British expatriates to the Costa Blanca, Costa del Sol and Romería de El Rocío in coastal Spain.
The subjects are shown trying to keep within their means. They consume lager, manage animal shelters, and perform drag.

There James settles into his new life and even finds love with local farmer’s daughter Helen (Rachel Shenton).
The Ex-Wife– New parents Tasha (Céline Buckens) and Jack (Tom Misson) seem to have the perfect life, but the constant presence of Jack’s overly friendly but suspicious ex-wife Jen (Janet Montgomery) puts pressure on the couple. But as the series progresses it becomes less clear who the bad guy really is and how far everyone will go to get the life they think they deserve.
Heat – EastEnders alum Danny Dyer leads this four-part action thriller, set in Australia, which sees two families holidaying together during bushfire season. But instead of rest and relaxation, secrets and lies start to unravel — and not everyone will make it out alive…
Lie With Me – Another soap legend jets off to Australia, this time its EastEnders alum Charlie Brooks who takes as a married woman trying to saving her marriage by moving halfway around the world after her husband had an affair. There have been plenty of memorable scenes over the years, including one couple buying a caravan online that doesn’t exist, while another pair opens a café doing British roasts – and faces stiff competition.
Channel 5 has also welcomed some memorable faces to the show, including Benidorm star Graham ‘Happy Days’ Boland.
Cold Feet’s John Thomson narrates this bargain-hunting reality show.

Thousands could be eligible for the £150 cash boost[/caption]
Applications for the scheme have opened today, Wednesday, October 2, with the fund operated by charity group Charis Grants.
It differs from the Warm Home Discount for households in England and Wales who automatically get a £150 boost into their account if they are on certain benefits.
This scheme has been specifically made for those living in parked homes who miss out on help by not having a direct account with their energy supplier.
A parked home is a type of mobile that is lived in all year round.
Residents are often elderly, retired and have restricted incomes.
Unlike the Warm Home Discount, which is paid for by the government, this scheme is funded by Ofgem and energy suppliers.
Jonathan Hunt, director of the charity, said that people living in park homes have historically missed out on “much-needed financial support”.
“The importance of the scheme to these households cannot be overstated.”
It comes as the number of people supported by the Park Homes Warm Home discount grew to more than 5,000 last year,
Charis hopes that the number of households to benefit could reach more than 6,000 this year.
Who qualifies for a payment?
You could be eligible for the scheme if you or someone in your household receives one of the following:
Pension Credit
Income-related Employment & Support Allowance
Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
Income Support
Universal Credit showing an earned income between £0 and £1,665 a month
Child Tax Credit by virtue of an award based on an annual income not exceeding £19,978
Working Tax Credit by virtue of an award based on an annual income not exceeding £19,978
Housing Benefit (or Housing element if receiving Universal Credit)
You will also receive the cash if you are not receiving any of these benefits but the total gross annual income across everyone living in your house is below £19,978.
How do I apply and how will I be paid?
Only people living in mobile homes can apply for the Park Homes Warm Home Discount.
You have to apply on the Charis Grants website.
You’ll need to provide details of the benefits you receive, plus income details for other members of your household.
You must also have a valid email address so you can receive the decision outcome and any requests for information.
To receive the cash you will also need to share your bank account details, as shown on either your bank card, bank passbook or account statement.
If you are struggling with your application you can call the Charis support team on 01733 797543.
If your application is successful, a payment of £150 will be made directly into your bank or building society account by March 31, 2025.
Applications open today October, 2 and the scheme will close by the end of March.
What other support is out there?
A number of energy firms have support for struggling customers.
Many gas and energy suppliers offer grants and schemes for customers who are struggling.
For example, British Gas has a fund open to pre-payment meter and credit customers who have found themselves in debt worth up to £1,700.
This scheme’s support is available to British Gas and non-British Gas customers.
However, if your provider is Ovo Energy, E.ON Next, EDF Energy, Scottish Power, Octopus Energy or Utilita it asks your go to them for assistance first.
You can check out your eligibility for the scheme here.
Elsewhere, EDF has a customer support fund which on average wipes £1,250 off customers’ bills.
It is available to vulnerable customers experiencing hardship.
Turn2Us also has an online tool which checks your elibiglty for over 1,400 grants.
Entitledto’s free calculator determines whether you qualify for various benefits, tax credit and Universal Credit.
MoneySavingExpert.com and charity StepChange both have benefits tools powered by Entitledto’s data.
You can use Policy in Practice’s calculator to determine which benefits you could receive and how much cash you’ll have left over each month after paying for housing costs.
Your exact entitlement will only be clear when you make a claim, but calculators can indicate what you might be eligible for.

It might only be week two of Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off, but already it’s proving intense for those in the tent and those watching at home.
Viewers of this week’s The Great British Bake Off were initially pleased to welcome ex-university lecturer Jeff back after he was ill in the first episode and collapsed.
Jeff walked out during the baker’s technical challenge on biscuit week.[/caption]
Other bakers were left concerned after Jeff didn’t appear to be coping well.[/caption]
Yet the American baker’s happy return quickly turned into an emotional exit as he failed to make a start on baking shortbread biscuits.
Telling those in the tent that he felt “woozy”, he was seen walking away from his station and exiting the tent with a worried Alison Hammond coming after him.
Trying to comfort him, she told him: “You tried man. You tried.”
He was hugged by the bubbly Brummy presenter with Noel Fielding also coming out to check as Jeff declared he was ‘done’ with the competition.
As he spoke to camera and explained ‘it’s just not my year’, Channel 4 viewers at home were left emotional at his shock exit.
One person wrote on social media: “Absolute scenes in the #GBBO here, can’t believe that’s just happened.”
Another pointed out: “Seems a shame someone lost out on a place in the tent over Jeff. Maybe he was genuinely not well, but, It felt like he just didn’t want to be there anymore.”
“Jeff tried his best and that’s all that matters,” said a third.
Jeff’s short but sweet appearance still appeared to make him a viewer favourite.
The Great British Bake Off’s official website reveals that 67 year old Jeff, originally from the Bronx in New York, settled in the UK back in 1979.
He picked up the baking basics from his grandmother and great-grandmother during his childhood and started to hone his skills seriously when his own kids were young.
71-year-old Hazel was seen throwing away her freshly baked biscuits into the bin as she declared: “I’m just gonna throw that lot.
“I’m just throwing them. I’m not even gonna try.”
The former nail technician-turned-baker then starts again from scratch, as others in the tent struggled to get their shortbread biscuits up to par.
Sumayah also struggled this week as she found herself baking right down to the wire.
In another part of the tent, fellow contestant Nelly was left unsure about her finished product as she admitted her biscuits have “lost their shape.”

4 days agoWorld LeaksComments Off on Little-known former England wonderkid who won World Cup with Phil Foden ready to KO Man Utd’s Europa League dream
DANNY NAMASO will be hoping to make his mark for Porto against Manchester United in the Europa League.
Despite being English, he is relatively unknown outside Portugal. Charlie Wyett takes a look at the player who started out at Reading.
Danny Namaso is hoping to heap more misery on Man Utd when he lines up for Porto[/caption]
Namaso, centre, was part of England Under-17s World Cup winning squad[/caption]
In England, didn’t he have Loader on the back of his shirt?
Yes. He was born Daniel Namaso Edi-Mesumbe Loader on August 28 2000. He carried his surname Loader until the start of the 2022-23 season with Porto.
His brother, Ben Loader, is a rugby union star who features for Stormers in Cape Town, having previously played for London Irish.
Where did he start?
After starting at youth level with Wycombe, he moved to home town club Reading aged 13 and progressed through the ranks. He played 35 first-team games for the club although only scored twice.
When did he move to Portugal?
He left Reading, aged 20, for Porto B in 2020 but the Berkshire club did not get any compensation as it was an international transfer.
After two seasons with Porto’s reserves, he moved up permanently to the main team in 2022. Namaso made his first-team debut against Boavista, replacing Evanilson, who moved to Bournemouth in the summer for £40million.
Has he played for England?
He was a member of England’s U17 World Cup winning squad in 2017 – he also played throughout the age groups until the under 20s. But now, it looks as though he is set to play for Cameroon.
What type of player is he?
He is a striker but more effective as a no 10. He has scored 11 goals in 71 appearances for Porto so is not prolific.
He has good skill and technique but does struggle as the main focal point. He began the season as a starter for Porto but has recently dropped to the substitute’s bench.
4 days agoWorld LeaksComments Off on I ordered everything & spent my life savings on Maebe – the white shirt isn’t anything special & the jeans were baffling
A WOMAN has revealed that she ordered everything and spent her life savings on Maebe.
Fans rushed to the website to purchase her Maebe brand – and everything was gone in just ten minutes, apart from the plain white tee which sold out 14 minutes later.
And now, Emily Pearl, 27, who is from the UK, is one of the first to have received her Maebe order.
The red-haired beauty ordered the jeans, which are £90, and the white shirt which will set you back a whopping £65.
She also got her hands on the “contour popper top”, which is £50 and the matching pleated pants, which are £60.
But Emily was left with very mixed reviews when she tried her Maebe items on, and left social media users equally as stunned.
Sharing her honest thoughts online, the content creator claimed: “I spent my life savings on Maebe.”
She then said: “I really didn’t want to like anything from the Maebe store. I don’t believe that we should all just flock to buy from one brand because there is some specific name behind that brand.
“That being said, the collection slaps and I bought basically one of each in every piece.”
Go matching
Emily first of all tried on the soft lounge co-ord, as she explained: “[Molly-Mae] wears a medium in these trousers, and I’m pretty sure I bought a large, because I am 5 foot 7 and all leg.
“At first glance, these look like the perfect baggy fit.
“The quality slaps. I can’t decide if I like the shoulder pads, but it’s giving a really cosy, comfy outfit and making it a little bit more chic, a little bit more elevated.
“The trousers are stunning, so I would suggest definitely sizing up. I like this.”
Get shirty
But although Emily was impressed with the matching set, she was left baffled when she tried on the white shirt and jeans.
As she held up the shirt, she confessed: “This one I was very intrigued about. This is the pin up shirt.
“I got the shirt in a medium, it looks really oversized but in a good way.”
What are the Maebe prices?
Away Day Top – £55
Away Day Trousers – £60
All Tied Up Shirt – £65
Contour Popper Top – £50
Seam Denim Jeans – £90
Dreamer Pointelle Tee – £35
The Ultimate Blazer – £140
Cosy Cropped Cardigan – £60
As she modelled her new purchase, she shared: “I can’t get it to snatch my waist from doing it behind me.
“I don’t think it’s that special.”
But clearly in two minds, she later added: “I don’t know, maybe I do love it.”
Legging it
We then saw Emily hold up the wide-legged jeans, which were huge.
She claimed that Molly-Mae had gone a “step too far” with the jeans[/caption]
Clearly stunned at the sizing, the fashionista stated: “Molly babes, I think that’s a step too far.
“Your Instagram story told me that you wear an XL to a two XL. This is a step too far. Let’s try and figure this one out.”
But Emily was clearly struggling with how to do up the jeans, and even got her partner Scott to assist.
Fabulous' Deputy Fashion Editor on Maebe
Abby McHale, the Deputy Fashion Editor at Fabulous, has shared her candid thoughts on Maebe…
“LOVE Island isn’t synonymous with grown-up sophisticated style but it will be no surprise to fans of Molly-Mae Hague that this is the theme of her first fashion range.
The 25-year-old influencer and mum to one-year-old Bambi has done everything possible to shed the villa image – swapping bikinis and lip fillers for comfy clothes and barely there makeup.
Recently, she’s even ditched her Love Island fiance, and father of her child, Tommy Fury – amid allegations of infidelity. So it was inevitable that her exclusive clothing collection, maebe, would be as far removed from glamorous bodycon party dresses as possible.
From that perspective, it certainly does not disappoint.
The range, which dropped last night (Sunday) at 7pm on Molly’s new website maebe.co.uk, was tipped to sell out almost straight away. It features tailored oversized blazers, sharp shirts and denim – all in Molly’s signature neutral palette.
A passion project, as she calls it, which has been two years in the making, Molly said she wanted to bring some luxury to her fans, without the price tag. She said she poured her heart into creating “high-quality pieces” at an “accessible price point.”
Accessible? I’m not so sure – the range varies from £35 to £140 so is pricier than the mainstream high street. But it is a price it seems her followers are willing to pay, even if it is a stretch for their budget.
One fan commented on the maebe Instagram saying: ‘I can already feel my bank account emptying’, with another echoing the same thought, saying, ‘I’m going to have no money left.’
A seasoned influencer, Molly knows how to lure her followers in – even before the brand launched yesterday the maebe account on Instagram had over 800k followers.
And at a sold out pop up event in London last week she gave some lucky fans a sneak peek of the collection, hyping fans in the run up to the event with come-ons like “maebe it’s just not worth missing.” Afterwards, she wrote to her 8.3 million followers, saying: “I don’t think I’ll ever get over today. Meeting so many of you and celebrating maebe Store has been one of the best days of my life! I can’t put into words how grateful I am for every single one of you who are on this journey with me.”
Molly, who is from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, knows that the key to her success is her fans – she has built up a loyal following and they are obsessed with her style so much that they want to be just like her.
So now she’s giving back to her ‘community’, allowing them to access clothes designed by her. However, she’s also a shrewd businesswoman. Arguably the most successful contestant to come out of the villa to date, she’s already had six figure clothing deals and a successful beauty range.
She knows that for her fashion brand to be a true success she needs to attract a wider market.
That’s probably why she chose to partner with premium digital magazine Sheer Luxe to have the first exclusive look. This signals who she wants this brand to be associated with – the stylish woman in her mid twenties and upwards, who wants to splash the cash occasionally and prioritises style and comfort.
The vibe is less is more – a capsule collection of luxury items that you can mix and match – unlike when she was creative director of fast fashion brand Pretty Little Thing between 2021 and 2023.
Molly describes her brand as being “inspired by my own journey into womanhood and motherhood.”
That comes through in the pieces – they are timeless, sleek and wearable but with a luxe edge.
The campaign was shot in what looks to be a stately home – the whole vibe is giving wealth, but with clothes that are just about affordable to the masses.
And whilst the designs aren’t groundbreaking, they are smart and, for many, worth the investment.
Standout pieces in the collection include the oversized blazers and the seam front jeans – these are sure to be sellouts. However, other pieces, like the knits and basic tops for example, you can find similar in shops such as H&M and Zara.
In the campaign images featuring Molly herself she looks somewhat glum – and who can blame her after the shock split from Tommy Fury last month – but it’s clear that things are looking up for her.
This project will be a welcome distraction and she is once again in control of the narrative, with this brand marking the start of the next chapter of her life. Molly-Mae 2.0 has arrived.
Now in her mid twenties and a mother (she was 19 when entering the Love Island villa), she’s clearly a career driven young woman with big ambitions – and will slot in quite nicely with the fash pack.
She’s already been mingling with A-list models at Paris Fashion Week, having been invited to the L’Oreal show alongside Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevigne.
And we all know of another Hertfordshire girl who went from pop culture icon to front row royalty. Who’s to say Molly-Mae Hague can’t be the next Victoria Beckham? Anything is possible these days.”
Visibly frustrated, she said: “If you’re gonna put buttons in jeans, can we try to make sure that the buttons work?
“They’re huge. Huge.”
But although the jeans were much too large for the Molly-Mae fan, she continued: “I think they’re really cool, I just think I’m gonna walk around the streets of London and every single female is gonna be wearing these jeans, which bothers me slightly.”
Despite her mixed reactions, Emily concluded: “I think everything’s really cool. I hate to say it.”
Fashion fans react
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @emilyxpearl, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 388,100 views in just 12 hours.
Looks like Shein

But social media users were stunned at the Maebe buys and rushed to the comments to share their thoughts.
One person said: “Girl, return the lot.”
Another added: “The white tops from Maebe look like baby grows and I can’t unsee it.”
