Man Utd star admits ‘we have to suffer’ as he blames horror run of form on ‘restructure’ following Spurs battering

MANCHESTER UNITED full-back Diogo Dalot has admitted he and his team-mates “have to suffer” amid the club’s restructuring process.

New co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe initiated a complete overhaul behind the scenes at Old Trafford after acquiring 25 per cent of United earlier this year.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has kick started a huge shake-up behind the scenes at Old Trafford[/caption]

The British billionaire has already appointed a new chief executive, technical director and sporting director since taking charge of football operations.

And he is planning to build a new state-of-the-art stadium to replace the Theatre of Dreams.

Amid the huge shake-up at Man Utd, manager Erik ten Hag is struggling to get the best out of his players on the pitch.

The Red Devils currently sit 13th in the Premier League table with just seven points from six games.

And right-back Dalot admits he and his team-mates have been affected by the ongoing changes behind the scenes.

The Portugal international said: “I feel that there is a restructuring at the club, which is good, but during this process we have to suffer.

“It’s a daily job, we have to train well and recover well. There are ups and downs that football brings us, but the more balanced we are as a club and as athletes, the more successful we will be.

“It is normal to go through a period of reflection and analyse what was done, good and bad.

United face a tough run of fixtures
Man Utd’s next two results could be crucial

“There is always a 24-hour period to switch off and start thinking about the next match.

“There are different matches and different opponents and we have to change the chip to be better physically and mentally.”

Man Utd‘s season went from bad to worse on Sunday when they suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham.

Many fans and pundits are now calling for Ten Hag to be sacked.

And SunSport understands the Dutchman has two games to save his job – against Porto and Aston Villa.

Despite the ongoing speculation about his future, Ten Hag insists he is not worried about facing the axe.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m not thinking about it, I’m not anxious.

“We created a togetherness in the summer with the ownership and the leadership.

“We made this agreement, and we were all behind it. We know the strategy [is to bring in] young players in a transition period.

“They also know in May in all my last six seasons there were always trophies and that is what we are aiming for.”

Ten Hag also said: “We are going to make a success from the season.

“Nothing is easy, but this is nothing for me to panic about. We can sort [the problems] out, this team can sort this out.”

Man Utd ratings vs Tottenham

MANCHESTER UNITED suffered a 3-0 thrashing against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

Captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the first half for fouling James Maddison, forcing Erik Ten Hag’s side to play with 10 men against Ange Postecoglou’s team.

After back-to-back draws against Crystal Palace and FC Twente fans hoped United would redeem themselves against Spurs.

However, the match at Old Trafford quickly turned sour. Brennan Johnson scored early and things worsened when Fernandes was sent off allowing Spurs to extend their lead to 3-0.

And here is how SunSports Charlie Wyett rated the Manchester United stars.

Andre Onana – 5

Stood his ground to deliver a good save from Timo Werner who was clean through – no chance for either goal.

Noussair Mazraoui – 5

First in the refs’ book for chopping down Destiny Udogie. Could also have blocked Micky van de Ven for the goal. Just watched Solanke make it 3-0.

Matthijs de Ligt – 4

Shocking first half. Failed to cut out the cross from Micky van de Ven which led to the first goal.

Lisandro Martinez – 5

Switched off for the Spurs goal and was drawn to the ball and Johnson was left unmarked.

Diogo Dalot – 5

Gave the ball away in dangerous areas and struggled against Johnson.

Manuel Ugarte – 5

Suffered a stinker and was lucky to last until the 73rd minute.

Kobbie Mainoo – 5

Not one of his better performances and was taken off just before half-time following Fernandes’ sending-off.

Marcus Rashford – 5

Over-ran the ball for Tottenham’s first. Way off the pace.

Bruno Fernandes – 4

Arguably the worst captain in United’s history. Deserved red card for his challenge on James Maddison.

Alejandro Garnacho – 6

Had United’s only chance in the first half but hit the outside of the post. Improved in the second half.

Joshua Zirkzee – 5

Looked completely lost up front – threatening to be another poor Erik ten Hag signing. Replaced at half-time.

Subs:

Mount (for Mainoo 45)  5, Casemiro (for Zirkzee 46) 7, Hojlund (for Rashford 73) 5, Eriksen (for Ugarte 73) 5.

And shoppers are in a frenzy after spotting the first festive pyjamas on offer in Primark this year.

The 90’s-inspired Christmas PJs in question are The Simpsons-themed and feature the whole cartoon family.

Even better, the yuletide nightwear comes in sizes for all the family.

Primark bosses say: “There’s nothing better than waking up Christmas morning in festive PJs, and this The Simpsons pyjama set could be the one this year!

“Coming in a jolly red, both pieces are decorated with images of Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie dressed in classic Yuletide clothing.

“It consists of a round neck top with cuffed long sleeves and the accompanying bottoms enjoy an elasticated waist and cuffed legs for a snuggly feel as they snooze.

“Decorated with other seasonal motifs, you’ll be pleased to hear that the whole family can get involved thanks to our matching The Simpsons family PJs available across all ages!”

The £7.50 children’s version are available in sizes 18 months to 15 years.

If your tot is younger, you can also snap up a cute sleepsuit version for just a fiver, from newborn to two-years-old.

Elsewhere in store, the women’s matching pyjamas will set you back £13 and come in sizes XXS to XXL, while the men’s version are slightly cheaper at just £11.

Primark’s Braehead store has since gone viral after sharing a clip of their Christmas range on TikTok, racking up more than 62,000 views in one day.

They said: “Family pjs now in store.”

And people can’t wait to channel their inner Springfield in the colourful sleepwear.

“I’m getting the Simpson ones”, gushed one person.

A second wrote: “They are class.”

A third echoed: “Freaking awesome.”

“I keep checking, [our Primark] ain’t got them”, cried a fourth.

A fifth chimed in: “I need an adult version of the [Simpsons] ones.”

Meanwhile, a sixth pleaded: “Xmas shopping soon??”

Primark's best buys for Autumn

Heading into Primark soon? Keep an eye out for these items.

Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top 6 buys from Primark this Autumn.

Coat, £60
I know what you’re thinking, ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes it’s a higher price tag than we’re used to from Primark but its worth every penny.
It’s from their Edit range which is more premium than the rest of their collection and it’s made to last.
It’s a mixed wool blend which is durable and warm, plus its a timeless straight silhouette which is slightly oversized and will last you not only this season but for many after.

Bag, £16
Big bags are back… In a big way, finally.
This tote screams luxury with its croc effect and burnt orange colour, plus its great for shoving in your laptop, lunch, spare shoes, purse – essentially everything you need for the day – all for £16.

Jacket, £32
Field jackets are on the backs of celebrities and catwalk models this season with designer brands Barbour, Burberry and Bottega all championing the utilitarian look.
They’re great for chucking over jeans or contrasting with a floral or floaty dress and are the perfect transitional jacket.

Dress, £18,
You may have seen, heard and read that leopard print isn’t going anywhere for autumn, so to encapsulate the trend this dress is a must.
Sleeves? Check. Midi length? Check. Ultra flattering square neck? Check. It’s got it all.
Pair with black knee high boots or your favourite trainers for the day and dress up with gold heels and accessories for the evening.

Jeans, £16
Barrel, balloon, horseshoe – whatever you want to call them, they are the must have trouser shape of this season.
I’ve tried Primarks pair and they fit like a dream, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you think you have nothing that hits the trend mark, swapping your go-to denim for this shape will bring you bang up to date.

Boots, £24
It’s boot season and instead of feeling like you need to buy one in every colour, length, height – its best to stick to a pair that you can wear with the majority of your wardrobe.
My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw that this black, knee-high, block heel with flat point and side zip (so there’s no tug of war to get them off at the end of the day) was only £24.
If you buy one thing this season, it should be these.

Incredible plan for world’s first AI passenger plane with NO PILOT where travellers can sit in cockpit & enjoy the view

THIS could be the world’s first AI passenger plane where travellers can sit in the cockpit and enjoy the view – because there’s no pilot.

The fully autonomous private jet concept has been revealed by aerospace giant Embraer – and it represents a breakthrough in futuristic aviation.

The company has joined with Bombardier to provide the futuristic vision of a business jet – that’s piloted by artificial intelligence.

At the National Business Aviation Association event in Orlando, Florida, the jet giant unveiled the plans for a future medium-size cabin jet.

The breakthrough plan features a cabin with three zones, Embraer revealed on X.

One of the zones shows a lounge with copious amounts of space for seating – including in the cockpit.

But the jet wouldn’t have so much space if it weren’t for the autonomous design where there’s no need for a cockpit or pilot.

The futuristic cabin plan is also pictured featuring windows with touchscreens.

The plane is also designed run entirely off sustainable fuel and has a design that has no engines in the wings.

Instead, the engines seem to be situated one above the other and have three air intakes – one on top of the fueselage and two to the side.

It also sports a V-tail – which is never seen on business jets – and an engine configuration with two turbofans in the tail.

Embraer told AertoTime: “The concept presented was a fully autonomous aircraft that will eliminate the need for a cockpit and enable new cabin configurations, such as a forward lounge.

Sustainability would be in the DNA of the airplane with a green technology propulsion system based either on SAF, electrification and/or hydrogen.”

Despite the incredible plans laying the foundations for the future of pilotless aviation, according to Embraer, the jet has not been worked on since the initial idea was released.

The company said: “The concept aircraft shows the boundaries of what is possible and the potential future innovations.

“Most importantly, we showed the video to inspire the industry to continue innovative thinking.

“At this point, there are no commitments from Embraer Executive Jets to develop and manufacture the aircraft.”

But other aviation companies working on similar elements could lead to the creation of Embrear’s business jet.

These include Cirrus and HondaJet, who offer an autonomous flight feature for emergencies if the pilot were to become incapacitated and can’t land the plane – leaving the aircraft to do it itself.

Ongoing disputes continue within the aviation world on the reduction of pilot operations – or working towards ridding them completely.
