Has Putin unleashed the ‘Father Of All Bombs’? Pro-Russians claim vid shows most powerful non-nuke weapon being dropped

PRO-RUSSIAN cronies have claimed Vladimir Putin has dropped the world’s most powerful non-nuclear bomb on Ukraine.

Dubbed “The Father Of All Bombs”, scary footage is said to show the moment the devastating bomb erupts into a giant fiery ball followed by a mushroom cloud of smoke.

The video, shared by pro-Putin “Z-channels” on Russian Telegram sites, shows the already blitzed Vovchansk in Kharkiv region being targeted by the deadly ODAB-9000 thermobaric or fuel-air explosive.

Despite the video it is yet to be confirmed by Ukraine or Russian officials if the bomb used was actually the ODAB-9000.

Many experts have rubbished the suggestion that Putin would drop such a powerful weapon in his arsenal on the area without a good reason.

Some believe the bomb may instead be the less powerful ODAB-1500 thermobaric bomb.

Others have speculated that the massive explosion resembles the aftereffects of the fearsome FAB-3000 aerial bombs used by Vlad’s forces against Ukraine.

Another theory is that it was the even less powerful FAB-1500 version, claim Fighterbomber channel on Telegram.

Sources say that in the unlikely circumstance that it was the ODAB-9000 that was dropped then it would require a specialist jet to transport it over Ukraine.

The explosive is so heavy that it would have to be deployed from a Russian strategic bomber such as the Tu-160, Tu-95 or Tu-22M3.

None of these jets were recorded as being in the area in recent days.

The aircraft would’ve had to fly in so close to the ground that it would’ve been easily detected and possibly shot down by a surface-to-air missile.

The ODAB-9000’s payload creates a blast that generates intense pressure and heat, which can be lethal even to individuals sheltered inside buildings or bunkers.

It is designed to destroy enemy positions over a wide area including entrenched infantry and lightly fortified structures.

The fuel-air explosion creates a prolonged blast wave and a vacuum, which can collapse buildings and cause internal injuries to those in its radius.

Ukrainian source Colonel Vitaliy Sarantsev said the claim may have been a Russian bid to demoralise Ukraine by “intimidating the local population and destabilising the region”.

Spokesman for the Kharkiv Regional Military Command has also denied the ODAB-9000 claim.

Russian war analyst Sergei Karnaukhov and political analyst Yury Baranchik both commented on the reports saying they believe them to be true.

Baranchik wrote online: “In Volchansk, the Russian army used the ODAB-1500 vacuum bomb for the first time – according to other sources, the ODAB-9000.

“The media calls this bomb one of the most powerful non-nuclear munitions in the world – which is true.

“The estimated mass of the explosive is 7,100 kg. Although there is little official data on this munition, the external effects are obvious.”

Multiple other Russian channels also published similar reports.

Even esteemed Ukrainian media source Anton Gerashchenko said he was aware of the worrying claims.

He said: “Z-war correspondents report alleged use of  a super-powerful bomb in Volchansk.

“Some military bloggers claim that this is the first use of the ODAB-9000 vacuum bomb. It is also called the ‘Daddy of all bombs’.

“It is the most powerful non-nuclear munition in the world.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ilya Yevlash has previously said the Russians have “an extremely large number of them”.

“One such bomb is capable of destroying a multi-story building.”

The explosive video comes just a few days before the Russian tyrant’s momentous 72nd birthday on October 7.

Russian officials are said to be always looking to gift the dictator a number of “presents” for his birthdays.

With one theory saying Putin is line to be handed a new bomb.

Another present his Kremlin pals are hoping to give Putin is the military gain of Vuhledar in Donetsk region.

Russian forces hope to snatch the land away from the Ukrainians after months of furious fighting.

Man Utd injury boost as Kobbie Mainoo travels for Porto clash… and takes Call of Duty gaming case with him

KOBBIE MAINOO gave Manchester United the massive fitness boost they most wanted for Thursday’s Europa League clash at Porto.

The midfielder ranted at team-mates after being taken off in Sunday’s 3-0 home loss against Spurs with a suspected hamstring injury.

But scans revealed the England star’s problem was far less severe than feared.

Mainoo, 19, is now shooting off to Portugal with the rest of United‘s squad – carrying a sizeable and personalised Call of Duty gaming case with him.

The anchorman’s unusual luggage stood out amongst the travel bags and light suitcases of his team-mates.

Mainoo’s love for video games echoes that of Red Devils’ superfan Luke Littler.

The Nuke, 17, is often spotted playing the latest versions – with fans even joking he dropped out of last month’s Hungarian Darts trophy to focus on EA FC 25.

United fans will hope Mainoo is on the case as much as Littler has been in recent weeks.

That’s because boss Erik Ten Hag’s job could be on the line with two testing trips in three days.

After Thursday’s tie, mid-table United visit fifth-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Mainoo’s all-clear comes after he had to be taken off just before half-time last weekend.

The 10-cap ace trudged off  – and was seen remonstrating with subs Casemiro and Antony.

Mason Mount shrugged off the cut he suffered vs Spurs[/caption]

United even messed up Mainoo’s substitution, with play resuming before Mason Mount could come on.

Mount was then himself replaced by Amad Diallo after a nasty cut to his head that needed stitches.

The former Chelsea playmaker sat out training early this week as a precaution.

But Mount too has now been declared fit to play as tests confirmed he had not suffered a concussion.

Man Utd ratings vs Tottenham

MANCHESTER UNITED suffered a 3-0 thrashing against Tottenham at Old Trafford.

Captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the first half for fouling James Maddison, forcing Erik Ten Hag’s side to play with 10 men against Ange Postecoglou’s team.

After back-to-back draws against Crystal Palace and FC Twente fans hoped United would redeem themselves against Spurs.

However, the match at Old Trafford quickly turned sour. Brennan Johnson scored early and things worsened when Fernandes was sent off allowing Spurs to extend their lead to 3-0.

And here is how SunSports Charlie Wyett rated the Manchester United stars.

Andre Onana – 5

Stood his ground to deliver a good save from Timo Werner who was clean through – no chance for either goal.

Noussair Mazraoui – 5

First in the refs’ book for chopping down Destiny Udogie. Could also have blocked Micky van de Ven for the goal. Just watched Solanke make it 3-0.

Matthijs de Ligt – 4

Shocking first half. Failed to cut out the cross from Micky van de Ven which led to the first goal.

Lisandro Martinez – 5

Switched off for the Spurs goal and was drawn to the ball and Johnson was left unmarked.

Diogo Dalot – 5

Gave the ball away in dangerous areas and struggled against Johnson.

Manuel Ugarte – 5

Suffered a stinker and was lucky to last until the 73rd minute.

Kobbie Mainoo – 5

Not one of his better performances and was taken off just before half-time following Fernandes’ sending-off.

Marcus Rashford – 5

Over-ran the ball for Tottenham’s first. Way off the pace.

Bruno Fernandes – 4

Arguably the worst captain in United’s history. Deserved red card for his challenge on James Maddison.

Alejandro Garnacho – 6

Had United’s only chance in the first half but hit the outside of the post. Improved in the second half.

Joshua Zirkzee – 5

Looked completely lost up front – threatening to be another poor Erik ten Hag signing. Replaced at half-time.

Subs:

Mount (for Mainoo 45)  5, Casemiro (for Zirkzee 46) 7, Hojlund (for Rashford 73) 5, Eriksen (for Ugarte 73) 5.

Watch Enzo Maresca’s incredibly blunt response when asked if he has regrets about axing Chelsea star from squad

ENZO MARESCA had a blunt response when asked about axing a Chelsea star from his squad.

The Blues boss was questioned on whether he regretted his decision.

Ben Chilwell has not been included in the Blues’ Conference League squad[/caption]

Maresca is preparing for his side’s opening Conference League league phase match on Thursday night.

Chelsea host Belgian club Gent at Stamford Bridge after coming through a two-legged play-off against Servette.

Ahead of the league phase, Maresca had to submit a 25-player squad list for the competition.

However, Ben Chilwell was not included after his summer exile from the first-team.

During Maresca’s pre-match press conference, he was asked if he regretted omitting the left-back due to his problems at full-back.

Amongst them is Reece James’ absence with a hamstring injury.

Maresca has no regrets, though, as he replied: “No, I don’t think so.”

Pressed for an answer specifically on leaving out Chilwell, he bluntly said: “No.”

FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS

Chilwell was part of a group of players in Chelsea’s “bomb squad” during the summer transfer window.

He was the subject of reported interest from Manchester United after being made available for transfer but ultimately remained at the club.

The 27-year-old has since been recalled to the first-team and was named in Chelsea’s Premier League squad list.

He even made his return to action off the bench against Barrow in the Carabao Cup last week.

Chilwell has still yet to be named in a Premier League matchday squad, though.

Instead, he finds himself behind Marc Cucurella and Renato Veiga in the pecking order at left-back in Maresca’s plans.

Israel plans withering revenge strike on Iran from secret mountain bunker – as Ayatollah fears Mossad spies in his ranks

ISRAELI officials met in a secret underground bunker to map out the blueprints for a scorching revenge attack on Iran.

Furious Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu last night insisted the terror state had made a “big mistake” after it unleashed 181 missiles.

As the first wave of Iranian ballistic missiles was fired into Israel last night, the Israeli security cabinet met at a secret government bunker.

From there, raging Netayahu signalled retaliation would be Israel’s next move.

He warned: “Iran made a big mistake tonight and it will pay for it.

“The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies.

“They will understand. We will stand by the rule we established: whoever attacks us, we will attack him.”

Netanyahu reconvened security heads in Tel Aviv today as Israel looks set to stage a major response to last night’s unprecedented Iranian missile attack – likely to hit Iranian oil plants and air defence system.

US President Joe Biden confirmed that the US – which has moved a huge naval fleet into the region – is working with Israel to fine-tune the response.

Iran blasted Israel with dozens of missiles amid fury over recent airstrikes on Lebanon and the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah last week.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei now “deeply worried” about Israeli infiltration of senior government ranks in Tehran, according to three Iranian sources.

His fears come after he warned Nasrallah to flee Lebanon days before he was killed in an Israeli strike.

In the immediate aftermath of the attack on Hezbollah’s booby-trapped pagers on September 17, Khamenei sent a message with an envoy to begging the Hezbollah secretary general to leave for Iran.

He cited intelligence reports that suggested Israel had operatives within Hezbollah and was planning to kill him, one of the sources, a senior Iranian official, told Reuters.

The messenger, the official said, was a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander, Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, who was with Nasrallah in his bunker when it was hit by Israeli bombs and was also killed.

Khamenei, who has remained in a secure location inside Iran since Saturday, personally ordered a barrage of more than 180 missiles to be fired at Israel on Tuesday, a senior Iranian official said.

It comes as…

Despite Iran’s attack last night, Israel has pressed on with its ground invasion of Lebanon as it pushes Hezbollah back from its northern border.

Israeli troops and tanks poured over the border earlier this week for a much-anticipated showdown with the Iran-back terror proxy.

And today, the first footage of Israeli soldiers inside Lebanon emerged showing Israeli troops scouring Hezbollah sites.

The Middle East now appears a step closer to all-out war as Israel has deployed more troops into Lebanon today.

Israel’s military confirmed infantry and armoured units were joining ground operations in southern Lebanon.

The focus of the operation is clearing out Hezbollah terror sites to halt rocket attacks which have driven 60,000 from homes in Northern Israel in the last 11 months, Israeli sources said.

It claimed actions there would remain “limited and localised”.

But the addition of infantry and armoured troops could suggest the operation has moved beyond limited commando raids.

Hezbollah’s media boss Mohammad Afif warned the group was “only in the first round” of fighting, however.

The terror group has been firing rockets into Israel in solidarity with Hamas since the October 7 atrocity last year.

Yet tensions have boiled over in recent weeks – with Israeli airstrikes into Lebanon killing more than 1,000 people.

Israel has said it will continue to strike Hezbollah until it is safe for tens of thousands of its citizens displaced from homes near the Lebanon border to return.

And Hezbollah has vowed to keep firing rockets into Israel until there is a cease-fire in Gaza with Hamas.

Today, Israel confirmed the deaths of eight soldiers killed in Lebanon.

Their deaths are the first confirmed since Israel invaded.

And the first plane evacuating Brits has left Beirut as civilians scramble to flee the warzone.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy said: “We have arranged another flight for tomorrow, and further flights over the coming days for as long as there is demand and it is safe to do so.”

I was sitting eating a pizza – moments later I was running for my life

by Nick Parker, Foreign Editor, in northern Israel

I’D just ordered a coffee in a roadside cafe on my way back from Israel’s northern war zone when the alert flashed up on my phone.

It read: “Iran is preparing an imminent ballistic missile attack against Israel. Please take cover as soon as possible.”

I was sitting in a pizza restaurant in a much-rocketed area north of the coastal port of Haifa when the warning pinged in my pocket.

Moments later I saw other diners picking up their phones as warnings reached them but was impressed by their stoicism as they carried on munching on their margaritas.

These were people who have endured daily rocket attacks from Hezbollah for nearly a year but even they began to shuffle in their seats as more warnings appeared on their mobile security apps.

This was clearly something much bigger than the daily Hezbollah barrage from the north.

And moments later we were jammed in the door as it was confirmed that more than a hundred Iranian ballistic missiles flying at 14 times the speed of sound were on their way.

This was confirmed to be only the first of several waves of attacks heading out way.

We ran across the road into a concrete shelter where English speakers told me to expect to be stuck there for some time as I tapped out my story using the glow of my laptop screen.

Then moments later the first booms split the air high above as Iron Dome interceptors engaged the incoming rockets.

I – probably very foolishly – took a sneak peek into the sky outside and watched trails of red rockets racing up to meet the missiles in a spectacular but potentially deadly firework display.

But scary spectaculars like this have become a way of life for the people of northern Israel – who clearly trust the boffins whose rocket wizardry had saved their lives yet again.

It remained unclear whether Iran’s terror masters had inflicted death or destruction as they attempted to decimate their hated enemy.

And this may be just the first of many terrifying tests for the people of Israel, their enemies and the millions caught in the crossfire as the threat of a catastrophic war looms.

I’m a former Champions League winner – fans tried to kill me by throwing a cement-covered chair at me

FORMER Champions League winner Santiago Canizares claims fans once tried to kill him by throwing a cement-covered chair at him.

The former Real Madrid and Valencia goalkeeper opened up over life between the sticks following Thibaut Courtois’ clash with Atletico fans in Sunday’s derby.

The former goalie was a Champions League winner with Real Madrid[/caption]

The Belgian, formerly of Atletico and Chelsea, was enemy No1 at the Wanda Metropolitano as Real Madrid secured a 1-1 draw.

But Courtois was ruthlessly targeted by Atleti ultras throughout the game, with some evenhurling lighters and other objects at him.

Late on in the match, the pelting became so much that the game was halted for a period of time as fans were ordered to calm down.

And Canizares recalls facing issues of his own while protecting his net.

One moment even saw fans rip up a concrete chair before hurling it at the now-54-year-old.

And Canizares reckons Courtois’ treatment was nowhere near as bad, while also pointing out that the Real stopper also made a gesture to provoke Atletico’s fans.

Speaking to Radio Marca, he said: “In my time, goalies were treated very badly. I was a goalie who was treated much worse than any doorman today.

“One day, they threw a seat at me which they tore up with the cement rubble. If it had hit me, it would have killed me.

“A worker went out and removed it. This is attempted murder. The goalie was not protected.”

Reflecting on Courtois, Canizares added: “He didn’t do well the other day, but that is an ethical and moral situation that is very different from making Courtois a victim of throwing objects.

“Let’s not deflect, whoever doesn’t behave should go out on the street.

“Courtois is the first to gesticulate and what he does enriches football because it has a component of passion.”

Canizares’ fine career saw him start off with Real Madrid.

But before he kicked a ball for the club, he enjoyed loans at Elche, Merida and Celta.

Canizares then got his big break with Los Blancos in 1994 as their No2 stopper, winning two titles in the process.

But in the 1997/98 season he made 34 appearances and went on to win the Champions League.

It proved to be his final year at Real through, with Valencia moving for him.

Canizares remained with them for a decade as he clocked up 416 games.

And he retired in 2008 with a further two LaLiga titles, while also losing two Champions League finals.

Santiago Canizares' career stats

  • Real Madrid B, 1989-1990: 37 games
  • Elche (loan), 1990-1991: 9 games
  • Merida (loan), 1991-1992: 38 games
  • Celta (loan), 1992-1994: 82 games
  • Real Madrid, 1994-`998: 55 games
  • Valencia, 1998-2008: 416 games
  • Spain, 1993-2006: 46 games
