Amanda Owen finally returns to TV with new series after being poached from Channel 5

AMANDA Owen is finally returning to TV screens three years after Our Yorkshire Farm ended for a new series – but it’s not on Channel 5.

Amanda, 50, and Clive, 69, officially split in 2022 but earlier this year announced that they would reunite along with their kids for a new series set at their Yorkshire farm.

Fans of Our Yorkshire Farm can rejoice with excitement as the Owen family’s new series is hitting screens this month.

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive And Kids premiered on Monday 14th October at 9pm. It will air on More4 as the family has moved over the Channel 4 from Channel 5, which was the home of their previous show.

This new five-part observational documentary series will take viewers back to the Yorkshire Dales to follow Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda and her family as they renovate a derelict farmhouse on their property.

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids charts the Owens’ journey to breathe life back into a derelict neighbouring property they bought to plan for the family’s future.

This first series follows the initial 12 months of the project and sees Amanda, Clive and their nine children work with a team of local tradespeople to slowly bring their ambitious vision for the farmhouse – known locally as Anty John’s – to life, battling against the unforgiving Dales weather on one of the most remote building sites in Britain.

Meanwhile, Amanda delves into the house’s rich history, uncovering the incredible tale of Anthony Clarkson, a Swaledale mapmaker and diarist who lived there in the mid-1800s and documented life in this stunning corner of the Dales.

Alongside the renovation, we spend time with Clive, Amanda and their nine children at home at Ravenseat, as they negotiate a tough year running the family sheep farm in one of the wettest years on record.

Together they must tackle lambing, mowing and the countless other jobs which keep paying the bills and moving their build forward.

The series marks the first time Amanda and Clive have been on TV together since their dramatic split back in 2022.

After they separated, Amanda moved on with 72-year-old web designer Robert Davies, who she has now split with.

Although Amanda and Clive aren’t back together, viewers should expect to see them getting along well in the series.

In a candid interview earlier this year, Clive revealed that he and Amanda maintained a close relationship after their split.

He said: “It’s not like everyone else’s version of leaving a marriage, because she was at the farm the next day and every day thereafter, looking after the kids, feeding us all, doing jobs on the farm – and she still is!”

He added: “The two houses are walking distance, so the kids, now aged from eight to 23, go where they want to go. They do as they please, there’s no tension or animosity about the set-up.

Amanda Owen's relationship timeline

The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen has lived most of her life in the public eye as her Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm shined a spotlight on her rural life with ex-husband Clive and their nine children. Sadly, Amanda's relationship with Clive hit the rocks and in 2022 the couple announced their split. Let's take a closer look at the timeline of their relationship, plus Amanda's other notable romance...

Amanda married Yorkshire farmer Clive Owen, who is 19 years her senior, in 2002.

The couple welcomed nine children together over the course of their marriage.

Their nine children, in descending order of age, are Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie, and Nancy.

There is a large age gap between some, with the oldest, Raven, now 23 and the youngest, Nancy, only 8.

Clive and Amanda appeared to be very much in love as they documented their home and working life together at Ravenseat in their Channel 5 series.

However, they shocked their fans on Thursday, June 9, 2022, when Amanda shared an Instagram post confirming that she and Clive had split.

She said: “Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

“This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family.”

Clive has since opened up about his part in their split, admitting his “anger drove her away.”

Following their split the Sun revealed that Amanda had been having a relationship with web designer Robert Davies, who is 22-years her senior.

He was a “good friend” to them, Clive said as he confirmed that Amanda’s new relationship began after they had separated.

However, in 2024, Amanda revealed that her relationship with Robert had ended and that they were no-longer on speaking terms.

Meanwhile, Amanda and Clive have become good friends and continue to co-parent their children and work together on the farm.

They will reunite for a new Channel 4 documentary series that will see them attempt to restore an neglected property on their land.

“It’s really good for them. Amanda is the greatest mother ever and the kids love her to bits.”

Fellow former rugby pro Thom Evans wrote: “Speedy Recovery bud.”

Despite his arm being in a sling, James had a big smile on his face indicating he’ll soon be back to his physical best.

The injury comes ahead of his holiday with estranged wife Chloe Madeley, 37, and their daughter Bodhi, two.

Chloe’s father Richard Madeley revealed the pair will soon go to France together, calling their separation a “very happy uncoupling.”

And he said he’s kept a friendly relationship with his former son-in-law.

Richard told us: “Chloe is very happy, she and James are going to France together, they have a very happy uncoupling.

“It’s a very civilised relationship – we see a lot of James, he’s at the house quite a lot, either with Chloe or without.”

He added: “I go for a drink with him from time to time. It’s all good.

“It’s a very civilised divorce. The co-parenting is going really well.”

The outspoken star ruffled feathers in the I’m A Celeb camp in 2019, branding his campmates “stupid” on occasion and imposing himself as the alpha male of the group. He was the fourth celeb to be voted out of the jungle.

More recently he has launched a career as a DJ, playing gigs in Ibiza and releasing his own material.

Treat AI ‘like stranger on the street’ as expert begs millions to learn ‘three-letter rule’ to avoid stolen identity

YOU need to be extremely careful when talking to online chatbots like ChatGPT – and a simple rule could keep you safe.

Don’t risk having your identity stolen or bank accounts raided because you made a common mistake.

AI-powered chatbots like OpenAI’s ChatGPT can be incredibly useful – but don’t spill all of your info when speaking to them[/caption]

The Sun spoke to a top security expert who said artificial intelligence chatbots need to be used with caution.

AI bots are everywhere – even built into apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger – so it’s important to know what you should and shouldn’t say to them.

“Think of ChatGPT and similar AI tools like a stranger you meet on the street,” warned cybersecurity pro Stuart Green.

“You might feel comfortable asking them for directions or when the next bus arrives, but you wouldn’t share personal details or your home address.

“AI systems often have a human-like interface, so it’s important to treat them like a person – just one you don’t fully trust, and suspect might share your secrets with the next person they encounter.”

There are specific types of info that you shouldn’t send to a chatbot.

Stuart, who works as a cloud security architect at Check Point Software, told The Sun that it’s “crucial to avoid” sharing something called “PII”.

THREE-LETTER RULE

The little-known three-letter term stands for “personally identifiable information”.

“This includes your full name, home address, email address, phone number, or any form of identification such as passport details,” Stuart told us.

“Sharing PII can increase the risk of identity theft, doxxing, or unauthorised access to your personal accounts.

“Even if the platform anonymises your data, there is always the chance of a data breach.”

Of course the list of info that you shouldn’t be sending to any AI chatbot goes way beyond just PII.

MONEY MATTERS

It’s also important to avoid handing over financial info.

Chatbots are humanlike and can be highly convincing, so it’s easy to be duped by an AI – especially one that’s been created or compromised by a criminal.

If this type of data is leaked, it could result in privacy violations, discrimination, or misuse by malicious actors.

Stuart Greensecurity expert at Check Point

“Credit card numbers, bank account details, and passwords should also be kept private,” Stuart told The Sun.

“Sharing financial data online exposes you to the risk of fraud, theft, or scams if it is ever exposed.

“It’s equally important not to share your login credentials, such as usernames, passwords, or two-factor authentication codes.

“Doing so can lead to account takeovers, data theft, or unauthorised transactions.

DON'T BE AI-FRAID – BE CAUTIOUS!

Here’s advice from The Sun’s tech expert Sean Keach

AI can be your friend. A trusted colleague. A customer support assistant.

In fact, it can be almost anything. AI chatbots are now very humanlike and highly convincing.

But it’s more important than ever to remember that they are not human. They’re certainly not your friend.

It’s lines of code pretending to be a human – and so you need to treat it like messages from a total stranger.

Don’t give over personal information – not even your full real name.

No one can guarantee the total safety of your messages, even if you’re using tools from massive and respected tech companies.

There are plenty of ways crooks could break into your chatbot messages – including compromising your device or even the AI apps themselves.

So feel safe using chatbots to help you get things done, but be mindful that you don’t know exactly where those messages might end up.

We’re still very early in this wild AI journey, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Remember: if you’re about to send a message to AI, ask yourself if you’d feel comfortable sending that same text to a total stranger.

If the answer is no, don’t send it.

“Similarly, sensitive health or medical data should be kept private, including your medical history, prescriptions, diagnoses, or mental health information.

“If this type of data is leaked, it could result in privacy violations, discrimination, or misuse by malicious actors.”
