3 days agoWorld LeaksComments Off on Watch Roy Keane show off acting skills in hilarious ad featuring punchline around his best catchphrase
ROY Keane has pivoted to the world of showbiz…baby!
While he’s been a fixture of Sky Sports’ punditry crew for several years now, the last 12 months have even seen him routinely display his acting chops.
Impressionist Conor Moore AKA Conor Sketches was initially set up as the inhabitant of Keane’s character[/caption]
…until the camera pans over to the man himself amongst the crowd[/caption]
His latest acting bid shows he can deliver an amusing pre-prepared line as well as the off the cuff remarks that are a hallmark of his footy analysis.
The 53-year-old is of course quoting himself in each case as he and impressionist Conor Moore go back and forth.
The backdrop is an homage to Keane’s infamous Ipswich Town press conference where he lost it with one of the assembled journalists for not having their phone on silent.
As well as an obligatory ‘That’s his job’, there’s also an allusion to one of the Man United icon’s more recent one-liners.
While promoting the release of Sky Ireland’s mobile launch, Keane argues with his impostor that mobile phone coverage DOES now fall under the remit of the telecommunications giant.
To do this, Moore fires back: “Relax…baby!”
It was Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson whom had been labelled as such last season after he continually complained about being elbowed by a linesman.
While the official was in the wrong for doing so, it was hard not to feel sympathetic to him when he and his colleagues have to ceaselessly deal with such whinging from Premier League stars.
The Scotland captain is among the bigger mouthpieces in the division so Keane didn’t have any concern for him.
At the time he vented: “He should be more worried about his defending.
“Do you know what he is that Robertson, I’ve watched him a number of times.
“He is a big baby! That’s what that guy is…a baby!
“Just get on with the game and concentrate on your defending.”
Fans on social media were left in stitches by Keane’s comments.
One wrote on Twitter: “Roy Keane calling Robertson a big baby is just amazing.”
Another said: “Roy Keane is punditry gold – ‘Andy Robertson is a big baby’.”
And a third quipped: “What I love most about the linesman incident is Roy Keane calling Robertson a big baby.”
The linesman in question, Constantine Hatzidakis, ultimately copped a one-week ban for losing his cool in such extraordinary fashion.

ONE of the two doctors charged in connection with Friends star Matthew Perry’s death has pleaded guilty and is facing up to 10 years in prison.
Disgraced Dr. Mark Chavez formally entered his plea in a Los Angeles federal courtroom on Wednesday, months after signing an agreement with prosecutors where he agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine.

Chavez, who was one of five people arrested in connection with Perry’s fatal overdose in October 2023, has been free on bond after an initial court appearance on August 29, where a judge ordered him to turn over his passport and surrender his medical license, among other conditions.
His attorney, Matthew Binninger, said in August that Chavez was “incredibly remorseful” and was “trying to do everything in his power to right the wrong that happened here.”
The lawyer called Perry’s death “a shame.”
“It doesn’t matter that he was a famous celebrity, and I know that he was incredibly universally loved by all. It’s a shame at what happened,” Binninger said.
The actor, known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom Friends, was open about his decades-long struggle with substance abuse in the years before his death.
Perry died at 54 after “acute effects” of ketamine caused him to lose consciousness and drown in his hot tub, an autopsy report revealed in December 2023.
Chavez is the third person to sign a plea deal and plead guilty in connection to Perry’s death.
PHONY PRESCRIPTION & SICK TEXTS
He admitted to selling ketamine to Dr. Salvador Plasencia, another doctor charged in connection with Perry’s death, including ketamine that he obtained illegally from his former clinic.
The dirty doctor also confessed to getting ketamine by using a phony prescription with the name of a former patient without that patient’s consent.
Authorities said Plasencia bought ketamine from Chavez and discussed how much they should charge Perry for the drug in disturbing texts.
“I wonder how much this moron will pay,” Plasencia allegedly wrote to Chavez.
Perry’s live-in personal assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, pleaded guilty and admitted to injecting Perry with the drug.
Court documents revealed that Plasencia administered Ketamine to the actor and supplied the vials that Iwamasa gave him.
Middleman Erik Fleming also pleaded guilty, admitting that he got the drug from “ketamine queen” supplier Jasveen Sangha and distributed it to Iwamasa.
Plasencia and Sangha have both pleaded not guilty and go on trial in March.

WAG Annie Kilner might want to take a leaf out of Coleen Rooney’s book to get her troubled marriage back on track.
Mum-of-four Annie, 32, who has asked for £15m of footballing husband Kyle’s fortune to save her marriage, reportedly called on four other footballer’s wives and girlfriends for advice on how to ensure ‘financial security’ as far back as 2019.
Mum-of-four Annie has reportedly asked for £15million of her footballer husband Kyle’s fortune to save their marriage[/caption]
The WAG might have to look for advice from the Queen of the WAGs – Coleen Rooney[/caption]
The two women share life parallels – like Coleen, Annie began dating Kyle at 16, both are mums to four boys and they both know how it feels to have your relationship rocked by cheating scandals.
But despite their relationship being marred by infidelity claims, Coleen has stuck it out with Wayne, 38, the dad of her boys, Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight and Cass, six.
Here, CHARLOTTE OWEN reveals the six smart moves Annie could glean from Coleen if she’s to get her marriage to work.
Turn detective
Kyle went on to father two kids with mistress Lauryn Goodman[/caption]
Marital super sleuth Coleen could teach Annie how to keep tabs on her unfaithful fella[/caption]
Back in 2019, Annie feared Kyle would cheat again and he went on to father two children with mistress Lauryn Goodman.
Who better to teach her how to keep tabs on her fella than the marital super sleuth herself, ‘Wagatha Christie’ Coleen.
The phrase was coined in 2019 when Coleen turned detective to figure out who had been leaking stories of her to the press.
Her infamous reveal which ended with ‘… it was Rebekah Vardy’s account’ eventually led to Vardy suing Coleen for libel, a case she lost.
Since then Coleen has starred in a documentary series, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story on Disney+ and, crucially there have been no more false stories about her in the press.
It seems like Coleen’s investigation tactics worked – something Annie might want to take note of.
Build her own brand
Just like Coleen, Annie, too, could land some brand deals to save the marriage[/caption]
Annie is a model in her own right and has made appearances on The Real Housewives of Cheshire but if she wants to branch out and show Kyle she’s a wife who means business, she could build her own brand, like Coleen.
Now, Coleen’s the new brand ambassador for Applied Nutrition, a sports and active nutrition brand.
Perhaps Annie could front a new eau de toilette: How to Smell Good and Stay Faithful.
Splash cash on luxury holidays
Col loves a getaway and by 2018 she had reportedly enjoyed a staggering 72 luxury breaks[/caption]
If Annie gets her hands on Kyle’s fortune, she could take some inspiration from Coleen’s holiday book[/caption]
Holiday Queen Col loves a getaway and, by 2018, she’d reportedly enjoyed 72 luxury breaks, worn 107 bikinis and racked up a £1.8million holiday bill.
According to her Instagram snaps, she jetted to Dubai back in January and Marbella in August.
If Annie gets her hands on Kyle’s £15million – half of his estimated fortune – to fix their relationship, she could take a leaf out of Coleen’s very extensive holiday book.
They say a break can be as good as a rest and Annie could have more than her pick of high-class destinations – though whether she decides to take Kyle with her will be anyone’s guess.
Outings with the girls
A strong woman has mates who have her ‘back’ and Coleen loves a girl gang.
She loves a girls’ night out and is also a regular at the Aintree festival, often visiting for all three days where she’s snapped enjoying herself with her mates.
It’s here where she puts on her fanciest frocks so take note Annie, if Coleen ends up in your girl gang you’ll need that new dress.
Like Coleen, keep investing time in your besties Annie because with Kyle’s track record, you never know when you might need them.
Put pen to paper
Writing can feel like free therapy and Annie could be like Coleen and pour her heart out on paper.
Billed as ‘the inside story into her legal battle with Rebekah Vardy’, it also gives readers a ‘full account’ of Coleen’s life to date, including the ups and downs she’s tackled with husband, Wayne.
Sharing what she’s been through could be the perfect tonic to help Annie truly off load – watch this space Kyle.
Up her gym game
Annie is no stranger to the gym and was even pictured getting back to it just two months after welcoming her youngest son, Rezon, in June this year.
But she might want to hit that boxing bag a little bit harder if she’s going to avoid taking her frustration out on Kyle.
Coleen, who has been spotted in her gym gear for decades, could show her how it’s really done, particularly after she was recently seen in a pair of £950 Prada sandals after leaving a pilates session.
