Chelsea fans say ‘urge everyone to watch this interview’ as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ‘seems so gassed to be here’

CHELSEA fans were left convinced that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was “so gassed” after scoring his first goal for his new club.

Dewsbury-Hall, 26, signed for the west London club from Leicester to reunite with Enzo Maresca in a transfer worth £30million.

However, the midfielder has not been afforded many starts since arriving at Stamford Bridge due to sitting behind the likes of Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez in the pecking order.

But last night he was given the chance to show the Blues faithful what he could do – and put in an impressive display before bagging a deserved goal to put the cherry on top of the 4-2 win.

His effort, which saw him make the most of a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area before placing it just past the keeper with a low strike, was his first goal for his new club after seven games.

Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, which also saw goals from Renato Veiga, Pedro Neto and Christopher Nkunku, Dewsury-Hall said: “Yeah I’m over the moon I can’t lie.

“I’ve been waiting for that moment since I joined the club to show everyone what I’m good at and my qualities are and I’m just happy it came to fruition tonight.

“Scoring the goal was an amazing feeling and I’ll never forget that but obviously winning the game when you change that many players in the team is such a credit to everyone.

“I won’t forget this night in a hurry.”

Fans watching the interview from home highlighted his positive attitude towards the goal, performance and willingness to prove himself at Chelsea.

One fan said: “Urge everyone to watch this interview, KDH has a really good attitude and he genuinely just seems gassed to be here.”

A second said: “Amazing interview, such a humble player with a great positive attitude for the whole team. Played well today.”

A third added: “You can see how genuine an interview it is. No PR fluff, just honesty. Excellent stuff.”

Another said: “He seems like such a nice guy wish he could play more but we have so many good players now.”

Maresca was also pleased with Dewsbury-Halls display, saying: “I know Kiernan very well from last year.

“I completely understand how difficult it is in this moment for Kiernan in terms of he was the main player at Leicester, you join Chelsea and you become one of the players.

“You are on the bench, you are not in the squad, you are not playing from the start, so you struggle a little bit at the beginning.

“But he needs to understand the reason he is here is because we want him. The celebration [from Maresca] is probably because I know he needs that. This is the reason why.”

In 2019, she revealed that she was cancer-free.

A fact about Michaela that people may not know, is that the band Scouting for Girls dedicated a song to the wildlife expert called Michaela Strachan You Broke My Heart (When I Was 12).

‘No idea’ – Dana White makes major Conor McGregor admission amid continued chaos over UFC star’s return

DANA WHITE has made a telling admission on Conor McGregor’s fighting future.

The UFC‘s poster boy was supposed to return to the octagon in June for a long-overdue showdown with Michael Chandler before he broke his left pinky toe.

UFC boss Dana White doesn’t have a clue who will welcome McGregor back to the change[/caption]

But Chandler has seemingly left The Notorious in limbo by agreeing to rematch former lightweight champ Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 in New York next month.

MMA fans around the world are now asking themselves the same question: Who will welcome Conor McGregor back to the cage?

But that’s a question even UFC President and CEO White currently doesn’t have the answer to, telling reporter Kevin Iole: “I have no idea [who he’ll fight].

“Like I said to Kevin today, you know, Conor will fight in 2025.

“So whoever is — however it plays out, as we lead up to him being ready, I have no clue.”

McGregor, 36, revealed to SunSport in July that he was hoping his eagerly-anticipated cage comeback would be rescheduled for December.

But White publicly poured cold water on the Return of the Mac closing out the promotion’s pay-per-view calendar.

And the 55-year-old is adamant the UFC brass won’t deviate from their latest plans for their poster boy.

He said: “I said that Conor wasn’t fighting until 2025. It is October 1st of 2024.

“Conor McGregor has plenty of time … I’m gonna go with 2025. Yeah. 2025.”

Former two-division champion McGregor has seemingly given up hope of an end-of-year return, telling DAZN last month: “It will be 2025.

“We will see. My opponent that I had scheduled… it is what it is. I take it on board and rock on.

“My job is to go to the gym and be in shape, whenever it is and wherever it is. I will be 100 per cent ready.”

McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since shattering his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

The completely FREE way you can keep your house warm without turning the heating on, and it takes minutes too

WITH hundreds of hacks out there, all promising to reduce your energy bills, it can be hard to know which actually work.

Especially when some of them involve forking out for special gadgets to avoid putting the heating on in the colder weather.

Choosing where to put your furniture can have a massive impact on keeping your house warm[/caption]

By moving things around, you’ll be able to stay warmer without turning your heating on[/caption]

But, according to one interiors expert, there’s a clever way you can keep your house warm – and it’s completely free.

As well as that, it can be done in just minutes.

“The simple trick to saving on energy bills is optimising the layout of your furniture,” Daniel Ufland, one of the co-founders of Flitch, an online interior styling platform, explained.

“Suboptimal room layout can impair heating efficiency, leading to increased energy consumption and higher bills.

“Optimising your room layout Is a practical way to enhance heating efficiency in your home, with the added bonus of improving the aesthetics.”

By being smarter with your furniture placement, you can ensure that heat sources are able to work more efficiently.

First of all, check whether anything is blocking your radiator.

“Is there a bed, curtain, settee, comfy chair or similar right in front of your radiator?” Daniel asked.

“If so, the item will be absorbing heat from the heat source.

“You’re basically spending money on heating up your sofa, leaving the rest of the room cool or even cold.

“By repositioning your furniture away from radiators, you can drastically improve heat distribution, ensuring warm air circulates freely throughout the space.”

If you don’t have the space for a room rearrange, don’t panic, as even increasing the gap between the radiator and the furniture slightly can have a big impact.

“You don’t need a complete overhaul of your living space to save home costs in winter,” Daniel said.

“Sometimes it just takes a fresh perspective on your existing domestic layout to save energy, become greener, and keep your bills down.”

5 ways to keep your house warm in winter

Property expert Joshua Houston shared his tips.

1. Curtains

“Windows are a common place for the outside cold to get into your home, this is because of small gaps that can let in air so always close your curtains as soon as it gets dark,” he said.

This simple method gives you an extra layer of warmth as it can provide a kind of “insulation” between your window and curtain.

2. Rugs

“Your floor is another area of your home where heat can be lost and can make your home feel chilly,” he continued. “You might notice on cold days, that your floor is not nice to walk on due to it freezing your feet.

“Add rugs to areas that don’t already have a carpet, this provides a layer of insulation between your bare floor and the room above.”

3. Check your insulation

Check your pipes, loft space, crawlspaces and underneath floorboards.

“Loose-fill insulation is very good for this, and is a more affordable type of insulation, with a big bag being able to be picked up for around £30,” Joshua explained.

4. Keep your internal doors closed

“Household members often gather in one room in the evening, and this is usually either the kitchen or living room,” Joshua said.

“This means you only have to heat a small area of your home, and closing the doors keeps the heat in and the cold out.”

5. Block drafts

Don’t forget to check cat flaps, chimneys and letterboxes, as they can let in cold air if they aren’t secure.

And when it comes to choosing a position for your big furniture items – like sofas, beds and big chairs – it’s always best to place them next to an exterior wall.

This means they’re acting as wall insulators, reducing the amount of cold air radiating from the walls into your room, and stopping heat in your room being absorbed by the wall.

“If you’ve got tall furniture like a bookshelf or a thick curtain, use that – don’t forget that heat rises, so tall furniture will insulate the wall higher up, where heat is usually escaping,” Daniel added.
