Mystery deepens as last person to talk to Victoria Taylor speaks out & pals say Instagram ‘active’ AFTER she vanished

THE last person to talk to Victoria Taylor has spoken out – as pals say the missing mum’s Instagram was “active” after she vanished.

Victoria, 34, was last seen leaving her home in Malton, North Yorkshire, at around 9am on Monday.

She is understood to have then set off towards the library in Commercial Street, but has not been seen since.

Care home nurse Victoria is mum to a two-year-old daughter and is engaged to her partner Matthew Williams.

Posting on Facebook, a local claimed Victoria’s Instagram account had been active on Tuesday.

They said the account could be showing as “active” because Victoria’s family were using it.

Another local said they saw Victoria on Monday morning at around 9am.

The local said they smiled at Victoria and said “Hiya” as she headed towards the library – making them the last person to see her.

It comes after fiancé Matthew Williams updated his Facebook profile picture to a touching black and white snap of the pair.

The snap shows them taking a mirror selfie in a lift, as Matthew wraps his arms around the bride-to-be.

The couple had recently returned home after enjoying their first holiday together in Majorca.

A date had not yet been set for their wedding, but Victoria’s family said her disappearance was “out of character”.

Yesterday cops released a new photograph of Victoria at a BP garage around half a mile from Norton Hive Library & Community Hub.

She was pictured on the cameras there at 11.35am wearing a black puffer jacket, camouflage print hat and blue jeans.

Cops launched a major search effort for Victoria on Tuesday – narrowing in on the River Derwent.

A police presence was maintained in the area she was last seen, and a Facebook search group was set up to help with investigations.

On Wednesday, the search closed in on the River Derwent, after Victoria’s belongings were found on the riverbank.

Timeline of Victoria's disappearance

Monday (September 30)

9am

Victoria Taylor is last seen at her home in Malton, North Yorkshire.

She is understood to have been going towards the library in Commercial Street.

11.35am

She goes into a BP garage on Welham Road.

Sister Heidi Baker claims she is also seen heading towards the River Derwent at some point.

Tuesday (October 1)

The search efforts for Victoria ramp up, with a police presence in the area she was last seen and a Facebook search group is set up.

Wednesday (October 2)

The search expands to focus on the river after Victoria’s belongings were found on the riverbank.

Drones are spotted at nearby Malton & Norton Golf Club.

Members of the Facebook group arrange to meet at the train station.

Thursday (October 3)

Police release a CCTV image of Victoria at a BP garage at 11.35am on Monday and confirm her belongings were found on the river bank.

Volunteer searchers from the Facebook group arrange to meet outside a pub at 1pm.

The admin of the Facebook page advises searchers not to go near the river, after being warned off by cops.

Drones were also spotted at nearby Malton & Norton Golf Club.

Members of the Facebook group the arranged to meet at the train station and search as volunteers.

Today volunteer searchers from the Facebook group convened outside a pub at 1pm to help.

But the admin of the Facebook page advised searchers not to go near the river, after being warned off by cops.

Specialist teams are currently focused on the river, but Victoria’s family told the Sun police are “not doing enough”.

Victoria’s sister Heidi Baker is among the searchers and said she’s frustrated with the progress and lack of communication from police so far.

She told The Sun this morning: “We need an update from the police, they are not doing enough.

“We’ve just come to the police station and they’re dealing with a different high grade case.

“Is our sister not? As a family we are not happy. Where is the police presence?”

She went on to say: “It is now four days since she has been missing and seen heading towards the river.

“Belongings were found and taken by the police of hers.

“There is no police presence and as a family we’re relying on ourselves and the amazing community effort.”

DESPERATE SEARCH

North Yorkshire Police yesterday confirmed “a number of personal possessions” belonging to Victoria have been found close to the river.

The force said: “Following this discovery, our Operation Support Unit and local officers have carried out extensive searches along with support from a police underwater search unit.

“We have used drones to search the area from above, carried out multiple enquiries.

“We have reviewed hours of CCTV from around Malton where Victoria was last seen.”

Inspector Martin Dennison said: “We are very concerned about Victoria’s whereabouts and, like her family and friends, just want to see her safe and well.

“I would urge the public to be cautious if looking for Victoria near the river.

“Our officers have specialist training and equipment, and they are used to working in various terrains.

“If you do have any information which can help with the search then please call us 101. Any immediate sightings should be reported to 999.”

It comes after her family begged for Victoria to “just come home”.

Speaking alongside her sister Emma Worden at the search site yesterday, Heidi told ITV: “If anyone knows anything, just let us know.”

Holding back tears, Emma added: “Vicky, just come home. We just want her home. She’s got a little baby and her partner. We’re just so worried.”

Another member of Victoria’s family added that everyone is “worried sick”.

People had tried messaging her phone, but their attempts were not being delivered and her phone goes straight to voicemail.

MISSING MUM

Victoria is described as white and approximately 5ft 6 in height.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black Adidas original puffa jacket with white stripes down the sleeves and a grey Jack Wills hooded jumper.

North Yorkshire Police previously said members of the public should expect to see an increased police presence in Malton.

“Today, searches of the riverbanks will take place by our specialist underwater search team,” they added yesterday.

Inspector Leanne Anderson said: “There are a range of enquiries taking place to try and locate Victoria.

“This is still a missing person enquiry, and the focus of our activity is within the Malton and Norton area.

“Extensive searches will take place today and I would urge members of the public in the Malton and Norton areas to remain vigilant.

“Report sightings or pass information to police immediately on 101 or 999.”

The Sun has contacted North Yorkshire Police in relation to Heidi’s comments.

Watch the moment Mafs bride Richelle storms out after accusing husband Orson of being on the show for fame

MAFS bride Richelle stormed out after accusing her husband Orson of being on the show for fame.

Richelle and Orson certainly haven’t had the easiest of times on the show so far, with Richelle walking out on her groom during their honeymoon.

Richelle then stunned her husband as she made a surprise return, walking into the apartment and telling Orson: “Listen, I’m so sorry. I’m so, so sorry.”

But now it seems the couple are struggling yet again to make their relationship work.

It’s friends and family week, which means the married couples meet those closest to the person they’re married to.

And it appears Richelle introduces Orson to one of her pals, and as they’re all seen having a drink at a bar the Mafs narrator says: “One friend’s cross examination triggers Richelle’s trust issues.”

Richelle’s friend is then heard questioning Orson, at one point asking him: “Is this all a façade? Are you trying to be famous?”

Orson looks frustrated as the camera pans to him and then, in the next clip, he and Richelle have a tense conversation as she can be heard saying to him: “You just chat so much s***. I’m too old for this nonsense.”

Richelle then gets up, slams the flat door and leaves, with Orson looking blindsided on the sofa.

Towards the start of the episode, Mafs fans actually accused Richelle of being on the show for fame after she returned despite walking out on Orson on their honeymoon.

Harsh viewers didn’t have much sympathy and one said: “So Richelle back is she? She’s probably only doing it for TV exposure.”

Another said: “I don’t trust this Rochelle at ALL! She called him fake but nope, I think it’s her that’s fake!”

And one more chimed: “Richelle seems like a different person.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

Before quitting their honeymoon, Richelle confessed she struggled to process her emotions and found it difficult to believe that Orson was genuine when he told her he had feelings for her.

She was seen breaking down in tears during the intense scenes in Mauritius.

Explaining what happened, the businesswoman told Orson: “I have a tendency to run when I feel stressed.

“I felt like I needed to pull away, it was getting too much.

“I went home and I spoke to a couple of friends, I was able to process my thoughts and put everything in perspective.

“I can’t deny like, I do like you. I’m really sorry. I feel really bad.”

Explaining what happened in a chat with the cameras, Richelle said: “I had a blip, I had a wobbly, as they say, ‘pressure bursts pipes’ and my pipes burst.”

The pair later faced their blip in the commitment ceremony, and she told the experts: “He’s a lot more comfortable talking about his feelings. I’m a lot more reserved.”

She added: “I guess I always want to dig deeper, like, why? I guess, just how genuine he is.

“It’s so early on, and I’ve been single for so long. And doing it all in the spotlight, with the cameras.”

Snooker star Shaun Murphy now hits out at Kyren Wilson after war of words with Mark Allen

SHAUN MURPHY has again defended snooker chiefs, after world champion Kyren Wilson became the latest star to criticise them.

Murphy, 42, recently hit back at Mark Allen’s claims that conditions at last month’s British Open were “embarrassing”.

Kyren Wilson has been unhappy with his table scheduling[/caption]

The 2005 world champion has now publicly disagreed with Wilson’s fury over his table scheduling.

Wilson, 32, was crowned world champ at The Crucible back in May.

Despite this status, he found himself playing on table two at the British Open, with Mark Selby‘s clash with Thepchaiya Un-Nooh given the session’s biggest billing.

After being eliminated by Elliott Slessor, Wilson took to social media to reveal his frustration.

He wrote: “Same s**t different day, demoted to table two again and get found out! What benefits does a world champion get nowadays?

“Graveyard shift in Brentwood, table two in Saudi every game whilst being the number one seed there!

“Table two tonight in Cheltenham and being the highest ranked in the session… unfortunately nothing ever changes with the sport I love, if your face doesn’t fit… tough.

“People can have their opinions. Always been that you earn the right for the privileges. Apparently not anymore. I always try to promote the sport and be a good ambassador for it. What’s the point?”

BEST FREE BET SIGN UP OFFERS FOR UK BOOKMAKERS

Speaking on his onefourseven Snooker podcast, Murphy attempted to explain why he didn’t feel Wilson had been hard done by at all.

He said: “There is no such rule that says if you’re the world champion you’ll be on table one, or if you are the defending champion you’ll be on table one.

“No such rule exists. There’s a couple of players that move the needle so much that when they play they’ll always be on table one.

“It’s about time the players understood that it’s about which match is the most attractive, the most exciting, which is going to pull more viewers in and that’s the one that will go first.

“It’s no more complicated than that. Kyren asks what are the rewards for being world champion. You’ve got half a million pounds, that was your reward for winning the World Championship.

“And you’ll forever be known as a world champion, that’s your reward. It doesn’t entitle you to be on table one every match.”

Murphy and Wilson are both set to be in action at the Wuhan Open in China this weekend.

The former will take on Anthony Hamilton, while the latter has drawn Liam Davies.

Allen’s clash with British Open chiefs came after his 4-3 win over Gary Wilson in round one.

‘EMBARRASSING’

The Northern Irishman, 38, had called the conditions “embarrassing” – and even said the tables should be “burned”.

In response Murphy, who sits on the WPBSA Players’ Board, said on his podcast: “The staff, there’s been a lot of talk that there are new fitters, and a lot of that is true.

“Their job is to take a table off a lorry on a pallet, and they put the table together. Their job is to put that table together, have it installed, and get them as level as possible.

“That’s what is in their control. How a table plays, whether it’s heavy or not, whether we can spin the ball properly – that’s nothing to do with them.

“Some of the comments and criticisms about the staff, I find extremely distasteful.

“I thought they were bang out of order. These guys do an immense job.”

Married At First Sight fans left baffled as newlyweds meet the in-laws – but did you spot why?

MARRIED At First Sight fans were left baffled as newlyweds Kieran and Kristina met their in-laws for a second time.

Kieran’s mum and Kristina’s friend Katie came to visit and find out how the pair were getting on since tying the knot a few weeks ago.

Kristina was in floods of tears as she welcomed her loved ones.

His mum was keen to find out if the pair had been intimate, leaving the newleyweds blushing.

On a more serious note, they were keen to quiz them on whether they’d work long distance.

Kristina admitted she’s move to Newcastle to be with Kieran.

Katie said: “It feels like you’ve been together for years and we’ve popped round for dinner.”

But some viewers were left more distracted over what they were drinking after spotting a bright blue liquid in their cup.

One concerned fan wrote: “I don’t think neither Kristina or Kieran need the E numbers from whatever the blue drink is!”

A second posted: “That is an aggressively blue drink. What is it?”

This person quipped: “Why are they drinking mouthwash?!”

The duo did not reveal what they were drinking but there are a number of blue drinks on the market – including blue lemonade.

Last week Kieran got candid as he spoke to wife Kristina and revealed how he was shockingly mistreated by a former partner that left him with serious confidence issues.

Kieran was seen breaking down in tears as he opened up about his tremendously difficult past and what he was forced to endure at the hands of his ex as he revealed she would often force him to stay outside the house in order for her to have a “few hours’ peace”.

Fans of the show were quick to send supportive messages after the heartfelt scenes aired as they praised Kieran for being open and honest about what he had endured in the past as well as Kristina’s reaction to his story.

Commenting after the episode aired, one MAFS viewer said: “The way they listen to each other just melts my heart. Even when he was deep in his thoughts he still stopped and said ‘thank you for that’.”

Another added: “Hearing that just broke my heart, really hope these two make it, seem very genuine.”

A third wrote: “I’m so upset that he was abused like that. I literally shed a tear.

“They’re lovely people. Hope they stay together, their innocence is refreshing but they’re not naive.”

Meanwhile, someone else penned: “The saddest thing I ever heard, poor Keiran,”

In the heartbreaking scenes, Kieran and Kristina were seen taking part in a Q&A challenge set by the experts to determine how they truly feel about each other.

Kristina, asks the Newcastle mechanic, 29, if she is “too much” for him courtesy of her bubbly personality, before advising him “don’t forget yourself.”

Kieran, then thanked her for her words, before replying: “I need to remember not to forget who I am.

“Cause it’s took us a long time to get where I am.”

With his eyes clearly filled with emotion, the MAFS hunk explained: “I used to live with my ex, and if I was home earlier from work than her she used to make us wait outside in the van so she could get a few hours peace before I got in.

“So that was hard.
