THIS Morning bought their very own forest in 2021.
Former co-hosts Holly Willoughby and Phil Schofield broadcasted the ITV daytime show live from the woodland to make the big reveal to their viewers.
During the pandemic in early September 2021, This Morning revealed they had bought a forest.
The exact location of the woodland is yet to be disclosed by the broadcaster.
Throughout the first week of November, This Morning showed its support for the 2021 COP26 climate conference by sharing easy ways you can do your bit for the planet.
It tied in with the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative – which invites the public to plant a tree ahead of the 2022 Platinum Jubilee.
It has been revealed the programme bought a forest as part of a drive to “go green” and stop the woodland from ever being built on.
Former host Philip Schofield told viewers: “Covid has made us all appreciate the natural world all around us, and we thought we would like to continue that newfound appreciation by doing our little bit to help the planet.”
TV presenter Julia Bradbury admitted the forest, which is home to deer, rabbits, and other wildlife, as well as a number of different plants and flowers, is part of the show’s plan to “really, really go green”.
Presenting a segment from the woodland she said: “It’s a pine forest, essentially.
“But the plan over the next few years is to plant more trees and increase the biodiversity here as well.
“We’ve got foxgloves and we’ve got bluebells that will be here in season.
“There are muntjac deer around here, there are rabbits, there are field mice, there are all sorts of important creatures.
“This forest is going to help sustain them and protect them for years to come.
“It lies at the heart of the This Morning plans to really, really go green.”
On September 8, 2021 ITV announced the purchase with a statement on their website that said:
“With our plans to become a greener show in more ways than one, we have bought our very own forest!
“During recent lockdowns, there has been a huge increase in nature, wellbeing and in general, the nation enjoying getting back to basics, finding inner peace by appreciating beauty in the nature around them and seeking ways to become more environmentally aware.
“This bold move and its responsibility for the forest will play a small but effective part in helping become a force for change to benefit the planet,” the broadcaster declared.
This Morning often use the forest to film segments of the flagship show.
On April 22, 2024 This Morning celebrated Earth Day in their forest with their very own Wildlife expert, Megan McCubbin.
Megan provided tips to viewers on ways they could feel part of Earth Day’s Global Clean Up by getting out more in the back garden.
Co-hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard asked their Wildlife expert what Earth Day is all about:
“Earth day is a fantastic reason to get out and celebrate nature.
“It’s an excuse to experience the joy of it, but also the importance of it,” explained Megan live from their forest.
“Earth day it’s a global event that happens every single year and one billion people get involved from over 190 countries which is just fantastic,” she beamed.

The drastic change has sparked a lot of outrage, especially amongst the hospitality sector with already struggling pubs and bars – and Nigel Farage warned it could spell the “end of pubs”.
Sir Keith said: “My starting point on this is to remind everybody that over 80,000 people lose their lives every year because of smoking.
“That is a preventable death, it’s a huge burden on the NHS and, of course, it is a burden on the taxpayer.
“So, yes, we are going to take decisions in this space, more details will be revealed, but this is a preventable series of deaths and we’ve got to take action to reduce the burden on the NHS and the taxpayer.”

A HOLLYWOOD A-lister’s Ferrari 250 GT has gone up for sale for £670,000.
The 1958 Pinnin Farina coupé was part of the American star’s amazing collection of cars.
The vehicle, owned by Angelina Jolie, has a top speed of 174mph and can go from 0-60mph in just 5.8 seconds.
Her classic sports car was the 11th out of the 353 ever made by the manufacturers.
The motor is finished in stunning shiny black bodywork with an eye-catching red leather interior.
The model was originally unveiled in 1958 beneath the glass dome of the Grand Palais, in Paris.
Seventy-six years later, the car will be auctioned off a stone’s throw from where it was originally released.
It will head under the hammer on November 20, Luxury Auto News reports.
Christie’s, who are hosting the event, said the star will be offering collectors the object of one of her greatest passions.
“Car enthusiasts and film aficionados will find here an exceptional opportunity to acquire a unique object,” a spokesman said.
“In November 2024, Christie’s will be rolling out its red carpet in Paris for Jolie’s Ferrari 250 GT.
“As one of the most sought-after classic cars in the world, it combines elegance and horsepower, and undoubtedly belongs in the category of the finest objets d’art.”
The Ferrari 250 GT, which belonged to the 49-year-old Tomb Raider actress, was previewed at a prestigious Concours d’Élégance in Antibes.
The coupé was “admired by all for its perfect proportions”, the spokesman added.
MANCHESTER UNITED have been slammed in response to Scott McTominay’s brilliant Napoli form.
