I work at Wetherspoons and my nachos ordering hack will save you money AND get you more food – here’s how

WE all love a cheeky hack to save a few quid, and this one is sure to fill your stomach as well – so what’s not to love?

While there are plenty of tips and tricks for getting the most out of the classic JD Wetherspoon menu, this one is perfect if you want a little more bite your nachos.

Prices vary depending on the location of the Wetherspoon pub you visit[/caption]

As shared by Macey Newberry, who works at the famed bargain boozer, on social media, this ordering trick could save you a few quid.

In the viral video, Macey said that although the Wetherspoons menu has just about everything you could ever want to eat, it is lacking as far as it’s Mexican food options go.

But fear not, you can spice up your nachos to make them a bit more interesting, and it costs next to nothing.

“This is a life hack if you wanna get loaded nachos,” the worker explained.

When ordering your grub you’ll need to go to the bar to customise them.

“If you’re in the predicament of choosing between a five bean chili meal or a bowl of nachos, you can get both,” she said.

Simply ask the staff member taking your order add on a five bean chilli.

However, you should clarify you don’t want the five bean chilli as a meal, but rather from the deli plates section of the menu, where there are the jacket potato add on options.

“If you would have got both meals it would have been 15 quid, but I’ve just saved eight quid, you’re welcome,” Macey said.

Fellow foodies loved the simple trick and couldn’t wait to try it out.

One commented on the clip: “I’ll defintley order this next time.”

But someone else pointed out some Wetherspoons pubs have another Mexican option on the menu: “There’s a burrito salad bowl and you can and chilli or chicken as an extra too.”

The nacho hack isn’t the only way to save a few bob on your next trip to Wetherspoons either.

Punters mouths were left watering last month when one foodie shared a trick to get a half-price breakfast at any Spoons.

A YouTuber who goes by CharlieVlogs explained how to get a cheap fry-up.

The YouTuber took viewers to the Wetherspoons located at Victoria Station because of it’s higher price point.

“Usually in Central London they put their prices up for breakfast.

“It’s about £6 to £8 but let me show you how to get a Wetherspoons breakfast for about £3.50,” he said.

“It’s easy mate, it’s so easy. So what you can actually do is get these breakfast extras on their own like you don’t have to get them on the side,” he said.

He then proceeded to order two rashers of bacon, a portion of backed beans and one fried egg for a total of £3.43.

A full English breakfast meal at the station would normally cost £8.38 for two fried eggs, bacon, two Lincolnshire sausages, baked beans,
three hash browns, mushroom, two slices of toast.

While the hack will save you close to £5, it also means there’s less food on your plate, something CharlieVlogs acknowledged in his video.

He said: “It’s not the biggest portion to be honest but it’s cheap and cheerful.

“Another reason why I brought you to Victoria Station is to show you that you can get cheap deals even in the most touristy and expensive central hub locations.”

How can I save money at Wetherspoons?

FREE refills - Buy a £1.50 tea, coffee or hot chocolate and you can get free refills. The deal is available all day, every day.

Check a map – Prices can vary from one location the next, even those close to each other.

So if you’re planning a pint at a Spoons, it’s worth popping in nearby pubs to see if you’re settling in at the cheapest.

Choose your day – Each night the pub chain runs certain food theme nights.

For instance, every Thursday night is curry club, where diners can get a main meal and a drink for a set price cheaper than usual.

Pick-up vouchers – Students can often pick up voucher books in their local near universities, which offer discounts on food and drink, so keep your eyes peeled.

Get appy – The Wetherspoons app allows you to order and pay for your drink and food from your table – but you don’t need to be in the pub to use it.

Taking full advantage of this, cheeky customers have used social media to ask their friends and family to order them drinks. The app is free to download on the App Store or Google Play.

Check the date – Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.

It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.

As well as its 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn, Wetherspoons also holds a Spring Festival.

Emmerdale fans ‘refuse to watch’ as they beg bosses to end storyline that has ‘gone beyond the realm of plausible’

EMMERDALE viewers have declared they ‘refuse to watch’ while pleading with bosses to end a controversial storyline.

For several months, fans of the ITV soap have watched Tom King (James Chase) terrorise his now ex-wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

Although she broke free from Tom’s coercive control, their drama was far from over.

He continued to torment Belle and made her think her beloved dog Piper had been killed.

In recent scenes, Belle took actions into her own hands by plunging an axe into Tom’s back as he unleashed fury on her.

The villain survived, although Belle is now facing criminal charges.

Viewers were left extremely frustrated by a recent blunder that could’ve sent Tom to prison.

His tablet, which Tom used to secretly film Belle from all his hidden cameras in her cottage, came to be in Moira’s (Natalie J. Robb) possession.

She logged on and was horrified to see videos of Belle in the bathroom, as well as footage of her panicking after being locked in the house by Tom.

Moira called Belle, having realised this was evidence of abuse – while she left a vague voicemail message before deciding to take the tablet to her.

Considering Moira’s active brain tumour, this plan didn’t work out and she ended up having a seizure in a forest.

Her brother Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) soon found Moira, took her home and got medical help from John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).

Later on, Moira, Matty and Mackenzie all had a discussion about the tablet when Belle walked in asking what the voicemail was about.

Despite the tablet being discussed not seconds before, none of them mentioned it.

Belle was devastated, convinced she was going to prison for defending herself and Tom would be free to continue his reign of terror.

Taking to social media, viewers shared their general irritation with the storyline, as one wrote: “I’m not watching #Emmerdale until this is resolved.

“The way they have ruined this storyline is unbelievable. I actually can’t watch it it makes me so annoyed.”

Another commented: This whole storyline is p*****g me off now it’s gone beyond the realm of plausible and now it’s just farcical END IT I beg #emmerdale.”

A third chimed in: “It’s not artistically satisfying. I hesitate to say it’s poor writing but it IS poor plotting.

“Belle going to the police and being believed was such a satisfying plot twist, but tonight’s episode is idiotic twiddling.

“We deserve closure and payoff. #emmerdale”

Darkest soap storylines

Over the years the likes of EastEndersEmmerdale and Coronation Street have all tried to try outdo each other with their outlandish plots in a bid to keep us tuning in each week. But here are some of the darkest that had fans in shock…

  • EastEnders: Tony grooming Whitney (2008-2009) – Tony King first appeared in Albert Square in 2008 as the boyfriend of Bianca, played by Patsy Palmer. But it was quickly revealed he was a paedophile who had been grooming vulnerable Whitney, Bianca’s adopted stepdaughter from a previous relationship, since she was 12. The shocking storyline attracted more than 200 complaints within a week of it beginning. Whitney waited until her 16th birthday to reveal the truth to a horrified Bianca, who called the police.
  • Emmerdale: Holly’s drug addiction and shock death (2010-2016) – In 2010, Holly Barton (played by Sophie Powles) became Emmerdale’s first teenage drug addict. The shocking storyline saw her taking cocaine on a night out before developing a deadly heroin habit. Parents John and Moira desperately tried to help get their daughter clean but when Holly returned in 2016, following a four-year absence, she quickly relapsed. Fans were left stunned and heartbroken when distraught Moira found Holly dead in her bed from a heroin overdose.
  • Hollyoaks: Luke’s rape (2000) – Actor Gary Lucy was just 17 when he took on this groundbreaking storyline, which saw his character Luke Morgan become soap’s first male rape victim. Luke had endured a long-running bullying campaign by football rival Mark Gibbs – who raped him after Luke stood up to him. Luke was left suicidal following the brutal attack, before opening up to his brother Adam. Gibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison. Gary won the Best Actor gong at the British Soap Awards in 2000 for his performance.
  • Coronation Street: Evil Richard Hillman (2001-2003) – Just a mere mention of ‘Richard Hillman’ is enough to send a shiver down the spines of soap fans. He is often ranked one of the most evil soap villains and it’s not hard to see why. The smooth-talking financial adviser bashed his ex-wife Patricia over the head with a shovel. In a bid to keep his mother-in-law Audrey quiet, he set fire to her house. And when Maxine caught him trying to murder Emily Bishop, he took a crowbar to her head. He made his exit from the cobbles in 2003 when he drove Gail Platt, played by Helen Worth, and her family into the canal. They survived, but he didn’t.
  • Yet another added: “I cannot bear how stupidly the scriptwriters are making everyone behave. #emmerdale”.

While a fifth remarked: “What a load of b*****s this is.

“Absolutely farcical. Turned what should be a serious subject in to a parody. Writers should hang their heads in shame. #Emmerdale.”

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available to watch on ITVX.

How to get a sales job in the UK?

OCTOBER marks the start of the ‘golden quarter’ where the majority of sales are made across the UK.

It doesn’t matter what industry you’re in, the run-up to Christmas sees both overall sales – and commission levels – leap.

Have you ever wondered just how much you could make in a sales job? Click the links to find out your potential pay packet.

Sold on a sales job? Here’s your five-minute ‘need to know’ from Sun Jobs to break into the industry.

    What is a sales job?

All jobs in sales involve selling a company’s products or services to customers.

Salespeople play a key role in almost every industry as they are responsible for identifying potential customers, building trust and convincing them to make a purchase.

There are lots of different responsibilities, including selling face-to-face, over the phone, generating leads, negotiating sales contracts and demonstrating products.

You may also be called on to provide after-sales service in some sectors.

Savvy sales people also keep an eye on the market, tracking trends and what competitor companies are doing.

    How much do salespeople earn?

Most sales jobs offer a small basic salary with the chance to earn much more in commission.

This means the salary you earn will vary according to how successful you are.

Estimates for sales salaries range from £16,000 for a first job up to £125,000 for a top salesperson in an industry such as estate agency or high-value iT systems.

On average, expect to pocket between £40,000 to £50,000.

What qualifications do you need to get a job in sales?

Sales isn’t about qualifications, it’s about people. The saying ‘people buy from people not companies’ explains why personality is so essential to be a good salesperson.

You need to be tenacious, have the ability to form connections and trust, and be highly organised to keep track of your sales inventory.

That said, most jobs will expect you to have GCSE passes in Maths and English as a minimum and certain professional sectors such as pharmaceutical sales will seek candidates with related degrees.

You can find out more at professionalsalesassociation.co.uk and the-isp.org.

What career progress is there for salespeople?

Plenty. Being a successful salesperson proves you have commercial acumen which can take you into the boardroom or even to become MD or CEO.

Once you have experience and a solid track record in sales, pathways include moving up to be an area or regional manager, where you support an entire sales team.

You could also choose to work in marketing, product or account management.

Exact time you could spot Northern Lights TOMORROW as Met Office issues ‘90% chance’ alert – & best spots to view them

THE best time and place to spot the Northern Lights over the next few days have been revealed by the Met Office.

The phenomenon is predicted to reappear over British skies this weekend with your best shot at seeing it being on Saturday night.

The Met Office’s prediction map for 1am on Sunday morning[/caption]

Aurora borealis, more commonly the Northern Lights, occurs when solar storms interact with the Earth’s atmosphere.

When these storms react with atmospheric gases above our north and south magnetic poles, the result is beautiful displays of light in the sky.

The Met Office’s model predicts the best chance of seeing these lights will be on Saturday night.

At 10pm, there is a 90% likelihood of seeing the lights in the northernmost regions of mainland Scotland and its islands.

The rest of Scotland has around a 50% chance of seeing the aurora which last prominently appeared across the UK in May.

As you travel further south, the possibility of seeing the lights diminishes.

In the north of England, chances fall to just 10-20% at around 10pm on Saturday evening although these figures improve as the night progresses.

By 1am on Sunday, parts of northern England have a 50/50 chance of seeing the lights, while parts of the Midlands have around a 10-20% likelihood.

There is also a chance of seeing the Northern lights on both Friday and Sunday night across similar regions.

However, cloudy conditions are expected to make both dates harder to witness the aurora.

The Met Office said: “Aurora activity is expected to increase this weekend, leading to aurora potentially being visible across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England where skies are clear.

“Saturday night has the greatest likelihood of aurora being visible, with a chance that aurora may be visible further south, across central England and similar latitudes.”

If you’re keen to witness the phenomenon, your best chance is to head to a low-light area.

Experts also advise laying down on your back and looking up at the sky, giving your eyes some time to adjust to light.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the best aurora views may come from phone cameras, which are better at capturing light than the naked eye.

    What are the Northern Lights?

AURORA displays occur when charged particles collide with gases in the Earth's atmosphere around the magnetic poles.

In the northern hemisphere, most of this activity takes place within a band known as the aurora oval, covering latitudes between 60 and 75 degrees.

When activity is strong, this expands to cover a greater area – which explains why displays can be occasionally seen as far south as the UK.

The visibility of the Northern Lights was increased on Friday because of an “extreme” geomagnetic storm, according to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The phenomena appears as beautiful dancing green and purple ribbons of light that have captivated people for millennia.

Mystery STILL surrounds ‘world’s longest treasure hunt’ as location of eerie golden owl & its finder shrouded in secrecy

A MYSTERIOUS set of questions still remain after one of the world’s longest treasure hunts was solved this week.

For 31 long years over 200,000 people have tried to crack a number of riddles in order to find the location of an eerie golden owl trophy – with the bird now finally being unearthed.

The treasure hunt is based on the 1993 French book titled in English On the Trail of the Golden Owl[/caption]

But despite the discovery of the rumoured £250,000 owl in France very little details of the find have been released – including who found it or where it was hidden.

Based on a book titled On the Trail of the Golden Owl those playing the game had to solve 11 clever riddles with each one unlocking a further clue about where the owl would be.

Solving the final enigma – a twelfth made up of the other 11 – was said to reveal the exact spot where the bird was buried but no one had managed to crack it up until now.

On Thursday the official game organiser and original book’s illustrator Michel Becker posted online that is was found.

A post on an official chatline for the treasure seekers read: “A potentially winning solution is being verified.

“No more solutions may be submitted. Further information will be communicated as soon as possible.”

Two hours later a second post confirmed the successful find saying: “Do not keep digging!

“We confirm that the replica of the golden owl was unearthed during the course of last night, and a solution simultaneously submitted.”

Despite the game makers declaring the hunt over the droves of seekers are still searching for answers to see how close they might have been to finding the owl.

As of Friday morning no further information has been released outside of Thursday’s announcements.

Some community members have even suspected foul play due to the result being shrouded in secrecy.

Gérard Simon, the chairman of the Association of Seekers of the Golden Owl, even claimed the real owl had “clearly not” been found.

One of the strict rules set by the book’s author Max Valentin in 1993 was that whoever found it had to have used the riddles in order to reach the final destination.

This rule meant the use of metal detectors or other underground tools was strictly forbidden

The infamous and seemingly unsolvable twelfth enigma proved impossible to crack for decades meaning many believed no one was in with a chance.

Becker and his team running the game are expected to have inspected and verified the find prior to calling off the search, however.

The treasure hunt has also been at the centre of several lawsuits in the past relating to the pricey owl.

One saw Becker bring one up against Valentin’s family where he asked to be told the exact whereabouts of the buried bird.

Controversy has surrounded the golden owl for decades with many questioning if it has even been found[/caption]
a magazine opened to a page that says four years ago max valentin buried a £ 100,000 owl somewhere in france
An article back in 1997 about the mysterious treasure hunt

This was filed just after Valentin – whose real name was Régis Hauser – died in 2009, leaving Becker in control of the game.

The envelope revealing the answers to the riddles was with Valentin’s heirs meaning not even Becker knew the solution.

A second case was then made against the illustrator by the furious treasure hunters after it was revealed Becker was trying to sell the owl.

The owl buried in the ground was actually a bronze replica of the golden statue.

The eventual winner would trade in the cheaper bronze relic for the £250,000 one which was held by Becker.

A judge ended up ruling that the golden sculpture wasn’t allowed to be sold as it legally belonged to whichever person found the replica.

But many hunters have suspected that Becker or someone close to him buried a separate owl in the ground a few years ago.

With some saying this is the one which has been found rather than the original.

Becker has always dismissed the claims and called them nonsense.

What was the Golden Owl Hunt?

THE mysterious Golden Owl Hunt focuses on the famous treasure hunt book On The Trail Of The Golden Owl by Max Valentin.

The book contains several clues and riddles leading readers to a final location with a hidden cache stored away somewhere in France.

Michel Becker also helped create the mystery as he made eleven paintings for the book, as well as the final prize, the Golden Owl statuette.

The statuette is 10 inches high and 20 inches wide, and weighs 33 lbs.

The book consists of eleven double-page spreads, each of which is a discrete riddle composed of a title, text, and a painting.

Each pair of pages is numbered with a wavelength associated with its colours, and with an owl face.

Three specific techniques to help those competing to find the golden owl were shared by Valentin shortly before his death.

    They include:

    • The use of maps as the reader must do something with a map, to reveal the final zone of the game. Then use a precise map of that zone to find the cache that contains the owl.
    • The existence of a “mega trick” which is the key to using the sequence of eleven riddles to identify the final zone.
    • The existence of a final, hidden riddle that completes the game. When a reader finds this riddle in the final zone, they will be able to utilise elements of the previous riddles to form and solve the last riddle. The decryption of the last riddle will lead to the cache that contains the owl.

Jeremy Clarkson admits new pub is ‘costing a fortune’ and he has no idea if ‘we’ll ever make our money back’

JEREMY Clarkson has opened up how much it costs to run his new £1 million pub, admitting he’s not sure they will ever make back all the money that’s been ploughed into the new business.

The Clarkson’s Farm star has refurbished the formerly defunct Cotswolds pub, now named The Farmer’s Dog, and officially opened to the public in the summer.

And he’s concerned he won’t make back his losses[/caption]

However, Jeremy, 64, has now opened up about his financial fears as he’s come to realise how much it costs to run the country boozer.

During an interview with MailOnline, the presenter admitted the pub’s £1,000,000 price tag and ever-increasing costs were a big concern.

“This place is costing us a fortune. God knows if we’ll ever make our money back,” he said.

The TV presenter has tried to keep his prices affordable, with prices averaging £5.50 for a pint, £9 on small plates and up to £19 on a full meal.

Although these prices have faced some backlash, Clarkson’s Farm star Kaleb Cooper hit back at critics telling Metro it’s well worth the money.

“I’ve spent a little time there. It’s fantastic, it’s great, it’s really just a good traditional pub with good food, highlighting the quality of British produce.

“I don’t think there’s any difference in prices to any other pub,” he said.

Jeremy has tried not to let his “only British” ingredients rule impact prices for the punters, too, although he previously revealed that it costs more to make the food than what he charges

Writing in his column for The Times, Jeremy explained his pricing.

“I do ask, if you drop by, to remember this. Your lunch, if it arrives at all, is costing us a lot more than it’s costing you – so please be kind,” he wrote.

Jeremy continued: “Imported black pepper is about £10 a kilogram, whereas the home-grown alternative is ten times more.

“There are other issues, too. If I butcher one of my own pigs and turn it into sausages, each one of those sausages will arrive at the pub costing 74p. If I buy imported pig meat, then the cost of a sausage is 18p. It was the same story everywhere.

“Now a business-minded person would look at these costs and realise that with British-only rules in place, a hotdog was going to be priced at about £45. But I’m not a business-minded person.

“So I just filled my heart with hope, asked an AI program to work out what the average price of lunch in a Cotswolds pub is and just charged that. It’s possible that for every customer who comes through the door, I’d lose about £10.”

    Clarkson's Farm series guide

    By Conor O'Brien, TV Reporter

Clarkson’s Farm airs on Prime Video and follows TV personality Jeremy Clarkson as he manages his Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds.

Three series have been released to date and here is an overview of what has happened so far.

    Series 1

    • Jeremy takes over the day-to-day running of the newly renamed Diddly Squat Farm.
    • Lisa Hogan, Kaleb Cooper, “Cheerful Charlie” Ireland and Gerald Cooper are also introduced.
    • Jeremy starts to assemble what he needs for his farm – as well as laying the groundwork for things to come later.
    • He buys key equipment including a tractor and cultivator, as well as taking on sheep and opening a farm shop.
    • Jeremy takes over the day-to-day running of the newly renamed Diddly Squat Farm.

    Series 2

    • This series sees Jeremy look for ways to increase the farm’s revenue.
    • One such example is bringing in a herd of cows although this isn’t without its issues.
    • Jeremy also had the idea to convert the abandoned lambing barn into a restaurant where he could sell his meat from the farm.
    • For this plan to move forward, he had to get planning permission from the local council.
    • Viewers also meet Pepper, a heifer among the herd who ultimately becomes the star’s favourite.

    Series 3

    • The third series contained some of the show’s most emotional moments to date.
    • In heartbreaking scenes, dozens of newborn piglets died as a result of overlaying – their mother rolling on to them.
    • Jeremy said goodbye to his favourite pig – the Baroness – after she developed cancer and needed to be put down.
    • Dry stonewall expert and “head of security” Gerald Cooper was diagnosed with cancer.
    • Jeremy and Kaleb began a competition between themselves – with Kaleb looking after the arable side and Jeremy taking the non-arable elements.
    • Fellow farmers – and famous faces – Andy Cato and George Lamb appear in this series

To combat rising costs, Jeremy had made plans to diversify his business by selling microwave meals and branded kitchenware, including knives, aprons, tea towels, crockery and cutlery, all linked to the rural boozer.

Baobab Productions Ltd, the firm behind his Farmer’s Dog venture, has applied to trademark the name with the UK’s Intellectual Property and is waiting for it to be rubber-stamped.

The application reveals Jeremy wants to be able to market “prepared meals consisting primarily of meat, fish, poultry or vegetables,” plus a range of other grub like “pre-prepared sandwiches and sauces.”

Clothing, footwear and headgear are also listed on the application, which was filed three days before the pub opened.

Baobab has also applied for the name “The Farmer’s Puppy” which will be a mobile kitchen, and “Hop and Chops” which will go on branded kitchenware as well as food and drink.

The 66-year-old man was overtaking an HGV on the A30 near Rawridge, Devon before he lost control on the wet road.

Dashcam footage from the lorry captured the moment the driver skidded into the opposite lane, colliding with two vehicles.

The video showed Chai speeding past the lorry through the filter lane before attempting to merge back onto the road ahead of the HGV.

However, the slippery conditions caused the 66-year-old to lose control, swerving into oncoming traffic.

The footage also captured the horrific collision, leaving all three cars totalled from the crash.

Chai had been travelling with his wife and mother-in-law to Cornwall when he lost control of the car in the wet conditions.

The horror crash, which occurred in November 2022, resulted in multiple serious injuries, including Chai and the passengers in his car.

The 66-year-old appeared at Exeter Crown Court earlier this year, where he received a two-year suspended sentence for causing serious injuries through dangerous driving.

Chai was also tagged for three months, fined £2,000, banned from driving for three years and ordered to take an extended driving test.

Police released the dashcam footage to highlight the dangers of reckless driving.

Sergeant Troy Bennett of the Serious Collision Investigations Team said: “Norman Chai’s actions on the 26 November 2022 had catastrophic consequences.

“This was done during heavy rain with wet roads and was a highly dangerous and egregious manoeuvre resulting in serious injuries to people, including Chai himself, occupants of his own car, and those in the oncoming vehicles he struck.

“The dashcam footage of the collision released by us today demonstrates how quickly things can go devastatingly wrong when you drive dangerously.”

The number of dashcam footage sent to police has risen by 77 per cent in just two years.

Dangerous behaviour on the road is caught out by fellow drivers who submit their video evidence.

According to a Freedom of Information request based on 26 out of 43 regional police offices in England and Wales, there has been a surge of dashcam submissions that highlight dodgy driving.

In 2023, an average of 342 pieces of dashcam footage were sent to the police every day – that is 72,000 videos a year.

The number of submissions has grown steadily each year since the police introduced an Operation Snap portal in 2017.

The online portal has been created to allow motorists to instantly report unlawful driving to the cops along with evidence of the act itself.

The system was created to assist police in taking action against those who put other road users at risk – and so far, it has proven to be successful.

Around 70 per cent of dash cam footage sent by motorists has resulted in police action.

The cops have issued warning letters, penalty points, prosecutions, fines and sometimes even jail time to dangerous drivers.

At least 90,000 fines have reportedly been administered thanks to the motorists on patrol.

If data from all police offices had been taken into account, the number would likely be higher with drivers being slapped with fines and penalties.

A staggering 176,000 pieces of dash cam evidence, which depict incidents of reckless or illegal driving, were turned in over the previous three years, according to the FOI.

South Yorkshire has had a 1,882 percent increase in submissions over the last two years, making it one of the locations in England and Wales leading the dash cam charge.

Humberside had a jump of 205 per cent, while Hampshire saw a 469 per cent increase.

Warwickshire and Lincolnshire rounded out the top five dash cam spots with increases of 191 per cent and 172 per cent, respectively.

A spokesman at Lincolnshire Police said: “There is no doubt that video footage of offences can be very useful in changing driver behaviour.

“We often hear that drivers take fewer risks and are more patient and courteous as they fear being caught on dash cam and facing prosecution.

“In road safety terms this change of driving behaviour is invaluable in reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on our roads.”
