ITV mysteriously scraps huge part of Celebrity Big Brother launch night as new series begins

BIG Brother is nearly upon us — but there will be one big thing missing from the iconic series.

The 2023 show launch night was simulcast on ITV1 and ITV2, as it was for Celebrity Big Brother.

This year, it’s just on the latter and returns to the small screen on Sunday, October 6 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Unlike last year, fans will be delighted to learn the launch night show will not be pre-recorded. Viewers were disappointed by the missing live element which always adds excitement to proceedings.

The much-loved show has already provided viewers with drama and presenter Will Best has revealed he and AJ Odudu are facing pre-launch show chaos.

The hosting duo are hoping to kick off Sunday’s live show with a bang, but they are both facing obstacles ahead of filming.

Will explained the nightmare on Capital Breakfast: “I’ve got a stiff neck. It’s a bit better today, yesterday was bad, I’ve got an emergency physio in a couple of hours after this.

“It’s always good to just before the biggest show of the year, when you’re going to be live for six weeks, with all kinds of mad stuff, to not be able to move.”

Speaking on behalf of his TV sidekick, he said: “AJ’s lost her voice as well. I saw her yesterday, we did a podcast record.

“That’s why she’s not doing radio today!”

He continued speaking about pre-show butterflies: “I get nervous, because, I love this show so much. So I’m nervous that we’re going to do it justice, the format justice, I’m nervous how the housemates will do.

“But, once we get to Sunday, just before we go live, the nerves sort of disappear. I can’t wait to meet these people.”

But the dynamic duo won’t be evicting themselves from their presenting duties anytime soon. Will said previously: “Neither of us are leaving. Unless we’re dragged out of that building.”

AJ added: “It is beautiful to do a job I’ve always dreamed of doing – and alongside a best mate is even better.”

Dress the Nation star AJ and T4’s Will are fronting the social experiment for a third time and have teased how producers have “raised the bar” on challenges in the new series.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Will previously said: “I’m excited about the tasks, I think the tasks this year, maybe some learning – not learning as that makes it sound like there were things that could have been better – as the tasks were phenomenal last series.

“But I’ve been speaking to a few members of the team and I think they’ve raised the bar even further this series.

“I think the tasks have been taken up a notch.”

As well as a makeover, the new house has had some exciting new renovations including a huge extension to expand the garden area and the addition of a luxury hot tub.

Big Brother bosses have also confirmed the reality show’s spin-off series Late and Live is making a comeback.

The presenters will have their hands full with a live studio audience joined by a celebrity discussion panel on all the latest drama.

Live streaming is also on its way back for hardcore fans who will be able to view house footage into the early hours on ITVX, seven nights a week.

Inside Amanda Holden’s gallery wall at ‘stunning’ new £7m Surrey mansion – and how to recreate it with £1.95 Asda buy

AMANDA Holden has given fans a rare look inside her new £7 million Surrey mansion.

The Heart Radio presenter, 53, now has a gallery wall of family photos at the top of her lavish staircase.

And it turns out, you don’t need to be a telly star living in a multi-million pound property to recreate the home style.

You can do it yourself with identical frames from Asda that cost less than £2 a pop.

The supermarket has a range of similar black photo frames with white borders under the glass.

Selling as part of its George range, the Black Photo Frame 8 x 6 Inch Set of 3 costs £5.85, working out at £1.95 per frame.

There’s also the Black A3 Photo Frame Set of 3 at £18, working out at £6 per frame for a larger one.

Amanda’s gallery wall has a variety of frame sizes, sitting both vertically and horizontally.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge enlisted the help of The Style Sisters, Charlotte Reddington and Gemma Lilly, who organise and “detox” celebrity homes for a living.

Despite rumours she was relocating to the States, Amanda moved to “Britain’s Beverly Hills” instead.

She is now settled in the sought-after village of Cobham, Surrey, after flogging her giant house in southwest London for a cool £5 million.

The Style Sisters showcased her hallway transformation on their Instagram page.

They wrote: “A wall filled with LOVE.

“We helped create a beautiful gallery wall for Amanda Holden in her stunning new home.

“Every picture holds a memory and tells a story we loved hearing about these special times.”

Back in February, Amanda invited pals over to her new home to officially open her new dining room – after she forked out thousands on giving it a makeover.

Everything to know about Amanda Holden

“We’ve refurbed the dining room and we had some friends over and I wanted it to feel like a restaurant so I put a piece of ribbon across the door and I got Alan Carr to cut the ribbon,” she said at the time.

“The reviews were brilliant but then Ashley Roberts made up a little dance routine to Beyonce’s current No 1 which is very country.

“We did this whole dance routine to it.

“The dancing happened before the dinner and we were two margaritas in at that point.

“Saturday was a write-off and I didn’t get out of my pyjamas.”

I refuse to live with a man – even if I get married we’re keeping separate homes, he’ll need to schedule in sex

A SINGLE lady claims she’d never want to live with a man ever again – even if it ruins spontaneous intimacy.

Jessica Rampant, 35, is open to finding love and wouldn’t rule out a relationship in the future.

Jessica doesn’t want to love with a man again
a woman with red hair is wearing a pink top and shorts
The mum likes her own space and wants to keep it that way

But she’s already decided that she wants to live in a fella-free zone regardless of how amazing any prospective partner might be.

The OnlyFans model and mum of one said: “I never want to live with a man ever again.

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

“You get to miss them, you get to watch your programmes he may rubbish and when you see each other, you have things to speak about, not just about who didn’t put the toilet seat down.”

The redhead also thinks living separately improves the intimate sides of relationships because it forces people to make more of an effort.

And she doesn’t care if that means her man has to schedule in sex – insisting it will even improve their relationship.

She added: “I think it improves and enhances sex life and romance.

“Couples get so bogged down by domestic duties and sat rotting on their sofas watching box sets.

“Who can blame them for not wanting to have sex when sleep is a better option?

“Whereas having a partner with their own home means that first flush of love is extended and remains as fresh as possible.

“One of the main causes of splits is mismatched sex drives.

“When two people are living together, there’s only so many times someone can someone take ‘no’ before they split or worse, cheat.”

Meanwhile, a model has hit back after trolls said she’ll never be able to get a decent bloke because of her size.

Steph Oshiri, 30, from Canada, has made a name and career out of showcasing her curves, and even managed to buy a house with the earning from her modelling career.

But despite her high earnings, the model still frequently has to deal with mean comments from haters who don’t get what all the fuss is about.

In a recent clip posted to social media, Steph targeted one especailly nasty comment and had the perfect response.

“I get comments like this all the time,” she said, “like no high-value man will ever want to be with you. No high-status man. No high-earning man will ever want to be with you. La la la la la. I hear it all the time.

“And I think it’s so fundamentally important for the majority of both men and women to recognise that most of y’all are average, okay.

The model, who boasts 480k followers on Instagram, confessed she’s not so “delusional” to think she can get any man she wants anyway.

She added: “Yeah, I’ve been known to be delusional at times, but I am not so delusional that I really thought that it was in the cards for me to pull like a NASA astronaut, like hello, look at me.”

Ultra-rare 1984 Porsche Rally car with special ‘lollypop’ seats & top speed of 160mph set to fetch £2.6M at auction

AN ultra-rare Porsche rally car which is fitted out with special “lollypop” seats could be yours for a cool £2.6million when it goes up for auction.

Bids are currently being taken by Broad Arrow Auctions for the final 1984 SC RS at its inaugural Chattanooga sale, in Tennessee, which takes place later this month.

It is the last Type 954 rally car the German manufacturer built and is thought to be one of the most original still in existence,

The 911 SC RS, which is also known as the 911 Evolutionsserie, was built for competing in FIA Class B rally racing.

Porsche built just 21 models in 1983, five of which went to professional racing teams.

The others, including the one for sale, were sold to private customers.

While the 16 cars were built for the track they are also street legal.

The Porsche currently for sale has the chassis 021, the last one produced.

While it’s thought this model may have left the factory in Dutch flag-inspired colours, its aluminium body panels, fibreglass bumpers, a rally light pod, and forged Fuchs wheels are now all finished in a brilliant coat of white.

As you’d expect in a rally car, there is a beast under the bonnet.

A mechanically injected 3.0-litre flat-six sits in the vehicle’s engine bay.

It’s race-spec five-speed manual gearbox produces 280 hp, 184 ft lbs of torque, and has an 8,000-rpm redline.

In 1984, Porsche claimed the car could reach 60mph in 5.3 seconds, but more recent testing indicates that figure to be rather conservative.

It has a top speed just shy of 159 mph.

Being a rally car, the 911 SC RS is rather spartan inside.

It’s fitted out with 935-style “lollypop” seats and a roll cage and does come with some creature comforts, such as a radio, power windows and air conditioning.

Thanks to its lack of features, such as soundproofing, it has a curb weight of just 2,160 pounds.

Porsche originally delivered the car to importer Tycho Christian van Dijk in 1984.

The vital statistics

He had intended to race the car in multiple events but would actually only ever compete in one event, that season’s Tour de Corse on Corsica.

It came in 14th, the best placing of any Porsche entered into the rally.

Due to it being the car’s only race it never claimed any honours but that does mean the vehicle is in tip-top share four decades on.

Over the years it has only notched up 3,227 miles on the odometer and it has only changed hands once previously.

With the current seller buying the motor in 2004.

It comes with a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate and extensive paperwork history.

The 911 SC RS goes under the hammer on October 12.

But anyone thinking of making a bid will need very deep pockets as Broken Arrow expects the vehicle to go for between £2million and £2.6million.
