The deal came as part of limited-time The Addams Family menu items[/caption]

Each was inspired by characters from The Addams Family.

They include Gomez’s Churro Fries, Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake, Thing’s Rings, and Wednesday’s Whopper.

Zahra Nurani, vice president of marketing communications at Burger King, emphasized that “guests are going to get a nice surprise with The Addams Family partnership” in a press release.

Some of those surprises included a free Wednesday Whopper for customers on October 17, per Today.

Wednesday’s Whopper comes with a vivid purple potato bun with black sesame seeds, standing out among the rest.

On the burger is a beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss cheese, mayo, ketchup, pickles, and onions.

Several customers flocked to their local Burger King to take advantage of the no-cost sandwich opportunity.

However, some, including TikToker Blessedbyboosie (@blessedbyboosie), claimed they were still forced to pay $13.98 in a recent video.

CRUCIAL REQUIREMENT

She showed viewers her receipt, which showed the total for the Wednesday Whopper, medium fries, and medium soft drink.

“It was not free — yeah, I know it spread around all over social media that it was supposed to be free today,” the customer fumed.

So, why wasn’t it?

There’s a catch, as the free Wednesday Whopper is only available to those customers who are Royal Perks rewards members with Burger King.

Additionally, members must order the special burger through Burger King’s mobile app, not in person at their local restaurant.

It’s all part of a plethora of promotions coming as part of The Addams Family menu from October 10 to November 10.

Burger King History

Burger King, one of the most well-known fast-food chains globally, originated in the United States.

The company was founded in 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida, under the name Insta-Burger King.

The original concept was created by Keith J. Kramer and his wife’s uncle, Matthew Burns, who purchased the rights to two pieces of equipment called “Insta” machines.

However, the company struggled financially and was purchased in 1954 by two Miami-based franchisees, James McLamore and David Edgerton. They rebranded the company as Burger King and began to expand its operations.

McLamore and Edgerton are credited with developing the company’s signature product, the Whopper, in 1957, which helped to establish the brand’s identity and popularity.

Under their leadership, Burger King grew rapidly, eventually becoming a significant player in the fast-food industry.

The company continued to expand both domestically and internationally, becoming the global brand it is known as today.

DON’T MISS OUT

Those interested in taking advantage of future deals within the month-long period should ensure they download the Burger King mobile app and sign up for Royal Perks before then.

Otherwise, they risk missing the money-saving chance.

It’s unclear how much the Wednesday Whopper costs on its own, as prices will vary by location.

A single-patty Whopper generally costs around $7.89.

Burger King also made waves among customers recently with its “Big Dip” tub of ranch dressing offered for free with any Whopper.

A coupon from the fast food giant also revealed prices rose on a popular meal deal by $6 over the past two years.
