JOEY Essex will reportedly play a part in the new series of Big Brother – and fans of the show aren’t happy.
In August Joey insisted he was done with reality television for the foreseeable future after his stint in the Love Island villa.

But now the Mirror is reporting that Joey will feature in Big Brother, which begins on ITV tonight.
A source said: “Joey will absolutely appear in the new series, though he won’t be a contestant.
“As a reality TV veteran he is the perfect person to present to the housemates – he knows exactly what they will be feeling so he will be a real asset to the series.
“His full involvement is shrouded in secrecy but he made such brilliant telly on Love Island, ITV bosses are thrilled he is taking part.”
The Towie legend recently appeared in Selling Sunset on Netflix, though that was filmed before he entered the villa this summer.
After leaving the villa, he told ITV’s This Morning: “I’m taking a huge break, you know, I feel like I’ve done every reality show possible now.
“I don’t think I really want to do Strictly. I’m just taking a break and I’ve got some opportunities over in America at the moment so I feel like I maybe might take it over there.”
The news of his BB cameo has been met with a backlash from some, who feel there’s been too much Joey on TV this year.
One person wrote on X: “Enough! Can I watch a programme without him popping up!!?”
Another said: “don’t want it #BBUK.’, ‘This series will be dead before it starts then.”
A third posted: “This… better be fake.”

Tommy Fury, rapper KSI and Jake Paul are in line to take him on in a huge marquee fight in 2025.
Also in talks is Youtube boxer Deji Olatunji.
Celebrity promoters Misfits Boxing are negotiating Joey’s first fight, which is scheduled to be in Qatar during November.
A source said: “Joey’s always been into his fitness but in recent years has become more and more passionate about boxing.
“Joey is excited about this new venture and looks forward to one day taking on the titans of the ropes.”
