TAMPA Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Baker Mayfield got caught inserting something into his mouth during live television.
The sequence regarding the 2023 NFL Pro Bowler took place during the Buccaneers’ Week 7 Monday Night Football loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
ESPN’s cameras showed Mayfield putting a ZYN into his mouth just before the second half.
The 29-year-old was seen popping the popular brand-name nicotine pouch.
Mayfield took out the ZYN from a small blue and white tin.
The pouch, which is placed between the lip and gum, comes in numerous flavors and is widely available in convenience stores.
Fans noticed the moment and called Mayfield’s act “disgusting.”
“Baker Mayfield wildin,” one commented.
“This is so unprofessional,” another said.
“No wonder Baker lost,” a third added.
Mayfield couldn’t lead a victory against 2023 MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, losing by a final score of 41-31.
The seven-year NFL veteran completed 31 of 45 passes for 370 yards with three touchdowns and two touchdowns.
The Bucs have a 4-3 record but the team suffered injuries to their two star wideouts Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
The latter suffered a season-ending injury during the fourth quarter.
Tampa Bay will play the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday.
