I was accused of ‘stealing’ a passenger’s charger on flight but I can show I’m innocent…I’ve been getting death threats

A WOMAN accused of stealing a man’s phone charger on a flight has hit back at online trolls sending her death threats.

Vanessa was filmed getting into a heated confrontation with a fuming man on board a plane with the footage going viral – sparking many to question who was really in the wrong.

The owner of the charger shared the controversial footage on TikTok, showing the moment Vanessa admitted to taking the cable and plug.

Asking why she took the charger, the woman brazenly tells him to “chill the f*** out”, explaining she took it as “nobody was on the flight”.

The man than replies: “You can’t take things without asking. It doesn’t make any sense.”

He was then asked to sit down by another woman in order to keep from being kicked out from the aircraft.

Soon after the initial altercation other passengers begin to speak up and slammed the man for his aggressive attitude.

The shocking clip has since been stirring up debate online with some saying the woman is in the wrong so the reaction was justified.

Others accused the man of kicking off for “social media clout” after filming the whole ordeal and posting it alongside an explanation video.

Vanessa, shocked by the reaction online to the clip, has now finally revealed her side of the story saying it has been drastically taken out of context.

She posted a breakdown of the chaotic flight on TikTok explaining how the plane was halted due to technical issues with all passengers told to get off.

Vanessa was sitting towards the back of the plane and was one of the last to leave.

As she made her way through the cabin she says she spotted the charger on the floor and picked it up before trying to give it to the crew as she left.

Vanessa recalls: “I told the stewardess, and she would not take it because they cannot be liable for passenger possessions.”

This left her with little to no options so she put it in her bag to keep it safe, she claims.

Once they re-boarded the plane Vanessa explains how she told the owner of the charger, Eddie Orellano, she had it in her bag.

Vanessa claims Eddie was already very agitated and “getting in people’s faces” by this point.

He alleged that the charger was left in a plug socket under his seat and that a fellow passenger had told him they saw a blonde woman unplug it.

A man allegedly told him: “A girl that got off your flight actually stopped at your seat, unplugged your charger, rolled it up and put it in her bag.”

Vanessa denied taking it out of a socket and says she didn’t even want the charger hence not using it and immediately admitting to having it.

She says: “When I got on, I immediately told him I would get him his charger, but just to give me a second.

“I wanted to find a safe place to set my cat down and my luggage, and also get a little bit of distance from this very aggressive, erratic man, for my own safety.”

The viral video then shows the moments where Vanessa gives back the charger as the arguments erupt.

Despite saying she wasn’t the thief the internet was portraying her to be Vanessa did admit she acted out of character.

She said: “I was really stressed out, exhausted, worried about my cat, out of breath. Eight hours at the airport only to be recorded and yelled at.

“I totally acted imperfectly, as most people do under duress.”

She claims to have hit back at the viral clip after receiving a barrage of death threats.

It is unclear why the video was shared this week with reports saying the flight was actually from early September 2023.

Eddie did say one of the reasons was due to Vanessa’s attitude.

He added that one of the flight attendants even offered to call the authorities but he declined so the flight could get moving.

“She wasn’t trying to do a good deed for those of you who thinks she was,” he said.

Alfie Moon sacked as son Tommy’s abusive behaviour spirals out of control in EastEnders

TOMMY Moon has been causing problems in his parents’ lives in recent weeks, but now things are set to take a turn for the worse.

New episodes of EastEnders will see the teen’s behaviour cost his father his job.

Now his behaviour will start to affect his dad’s life as well[/caption]

Tommy has already made life difficult for his mum ever since she split up with her ex after discovering Phil was cheating.

He punched Kat Slater in the stomach when he heard the news, and has gone on to instigate furious rows trying to convince her to forgive Phil.

The boy started skipping school and shoplifting from Minute Mart when she refused to consider reconciliation.

Tommy then went on to start bullying his little brothers, and Kat had to step in as he got too rough with them during a game of football.

She turned to Tommy’s dad Alfie for help, and he has been attempting to get more involved in the boy’s life.

However, this will soon turn out to have a negative effect on Alfie’s life as well.

In upcoming scenes Kat has a conversation with Alfie, asking him to take a disciplinarian role in his son’s life.

The dad decides to close the bookies he works at early to have a heart-to-heart with his son about bunking off school, but ends up losing his job.

Tommy’s behaviour changes for a few days, but his parents remain suspicious that this is only temporary.

After being filled with guilt over causing his dad’s unemployment, Tommy tries to help Alfie get a managerial role at Minute Mart.

Alfie goes for an interview and Kat convinces him to take the job.

But will his absence mean Tommy goes back to his previous violent behaviour towards his mum as he is deprived of another father figure?

EastEnders bosses previously revealed that there would be a child on parent abuse storyline between Tommy and Kat.

Soap producer Chris Clenshaw said: “Kat is well-known in Albert Square for her no-nonsense attitude and fiery temper, but this storyline will explore how Tommy manipulates Kat’s unequivocal love for her son to exert his anger and elicit control.

“Jessie [Wallace] and Sonny’s [Kendall] performances have thoughtfully portrayed the complex realities of child to parent abuse with compassion and understanding, and the storyline will demonstrate how Tommy’s behaviour effects their relationship and the wider Slater-Moon family as a whole.

“To ensure we accurately and sensitively portray the realities of child to parent abuse, we have worked alongside Family Based Solutions, PEGS and NSPCC as well as other experts in the field.”

Jason Phasouliotis, Secondary Age Lead Practitioner at Family Based Solutions added: “We’re proud to be working alongside EastEnders on this storyline to bring to light a critical and often overlooked issue: child-to-parent abuse (CPA).

“Throughout our time working together, EastEnders has shown a deep commitment to portray this sensitive topic with the seriousness it deserves, and we hope this storyline will resonate with families experiencing CPA to encourage them to reach out for support.”
