Kamala Harris hints Trump wants Ukraine to surrender and links him to Putin in extraordinary swipe during Zelensky meeting

Kamala Harris insinuated that Donald Trump would support Vladimir Putin in Ukraine when she met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at the White House on Thursday. “There are those in my country who would force Ukraine to give up large parts of its sovereign territory. These proposals are the same as Putin’s. And let’s be […]

‘I don’t know how I did it’ says Chris Eubank Jr as he reveals he gained TWO STONE at famous Las Vegas buffet

CHRIS EUBANK JR chomped his way to TWO STONE over his fighting weight by enjoying the Caesars Palace buffet a little too much.

The middleweight makes his 160lb return against Kamil Szeremeta on October 12 in Saudi Arabia.

Chris Eubank Jr with former opponent George Groves[/caption]

But while training out in Vegas scaled 190lb – or 13st 5lb – which is over two stone from the 11st middleweight mark.

He told former opponent George Groves: “For the first time in my life this year I hit 190lb. I think that might be cruiserweight.

“I don’t know how I did it and it was actually quite cool because… I was in Vegas, yeah.”

Groves suggested it was down to the famous £60 Caesars Palace buffet and asked what Eubank’s order was.

He replied: “You’ve gotta get the king crabs legs with the melted butter. Steak.”

Beefed up Eubank was training at the Top Rank gym and Floyd Mayweather’s boxing club and bullied sparring partners.

He said: “It was interesting because I’d be getting into the ring at Top Rank and at Floyd’s with middleweights and their punches are just bouncing off me.

“And these are guys that fight at middleweight and I just wasn’t feeling anything and I was just throwing them around and I was like, ‘Wow, this is interesting.'”

Eubank, 35, has not fought since stopping Liam Smith, 36, in ten round of their rematch last September after losing seven months prior.

And he rejected a lucrative deal to fight Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez, 34, amid his inactivity in the ring.

Eubank said: “That’s actually what a fight like this is for against Szeremeta .

“To make sure that I can still make the weight and be effective, 35-years-old, been out the ring for a year, how’s that weight cut going to be? We’re going to find out.

“You don’t want to find out when you’re getting ready for Canelo, right? Or a big, big, name you want to know before you get into the situations. So I’m excited.”

Inside hunt for fixer dubbed ‘Fayed’s Ghislaine Maxwell’ as ex-Harrods worker tells how sex predator raped her aged 16

PRESSURE was mounting on key figures linked to Mohamed Fayed last night to reveal what they knew and when about his reign of terror at Harrods.

It comes as London’s Met Police urged sex assault victims of Fayed to come forward — and vowed to “fully explore whether any other individuals could be pursued for any criminal offences”.

Last night, sources told the Sun “dynamite” new testimony was set to widen the scandal and could drag in Fulham FC, which the late Egyptian tycoon owned for 16 years.

Barrister Dean Armstrong KC — representing the Fayed victims — has claimed the tycoon was “enabled by a system that pervaded Harrods”.

And victims are angry over a wall of silence around those linked to the ex-Harrods chairman who may be able to shed light on his behaviour.

They include Harrods MD Michael Ward — who took over the role in 2006, four years before Fayed sold the store — and the late Egyptian’s long-serving spokesman Michael Cole, 80.

Ward, 68, yesterday released a statement denying knowledge of Fayed’s “toxic culture of secrecy, intimidation and sexual misconduct”.

But he has not answered questions.

Meanwhile sources said former BBC royal reporter Cole — who was at Fayed’s side from 1988 to 1998 — had “gone to ground”.

He was Fayed’s spokesman at the time a 1995 Vanity Fair article — alleging sexual misconduct and staff surveillance but not sexual assault — was published.

‘Doors locked’

While there is no suggestion of wrongdoing on the part of Ward or Cole, they do have important questions to answer about their time with Fayed, who died last year aged 94.

Fayed sued for libel and the case was dropped in 1997 after Cole led negotiations which resulted in a settlement that saw Vanity Fair agree to destroy its evidence.

Concerns have also been raised about the role of a female fixer dubbed “Fayed’s Ghislaine Maxwell”, who investigators were told found young women for him to abuse.

A source said: “She worked for Fayed and became his key fixer.

“She helped him find women. She was even interviewed once by the police but it came to nothing.”

The source added: “Everyone knew what she was doing.”

Investigators probing the scandal also believe Sarah Andrews — Harrods’ chief retail officer — could provide information on Fayed.

She joined the luxury Knightsbridge store in 2003. But there is no suggestion of wrongdoing on her part.

Two other former senior figures at Harrods — ex-director of beauty and fashion Marigay McKee and resigned HR director Geoffrey Archard — have also remained tight-lipped.

Victims named Dr Ann Coxon, 83, as the medic who carried out invasive medical checks on them — including for sexually transmitted infections.

We told on Wednesday how she is still practising, on London’s Harley Street. Asked yesterday by a BBC reporter if she carried out tests on staff for STIs, Dr Coxon replied: “No.”

Another Harrods doctor, Wendy Snell — also accused of intrusive examinations — has since died.

Other key members of Fayed’s circle — including his ex-detective head of security John MacNamara and PR adviser Max Clifford — are also dead. Yet a source close to the investigation said: “Why are all these remaining people keeping quiet? For the victims’ sakes, it is time we heard from them properly.”

And we can reveal the team investigating Fayed for the Justice For Harrods Survivors group have received bombshell new information this week.

Sources said the timeframe of the scandal — so far limited to Fayed’s chairmanship at Harrods from 1985 to 2010 — could expand.

And investigators are understood to have received allegations linked to Fayed’s ownership of Premier League club Fulham from 1997 to 2013.

Our source added: “Fayed was 55 when he bought Harrods — so, let’s face it, he is likely to have assaulted and abused women before then, considering what he has been exposed for doing. And the direction of travel for the investigation is very much towards Fulham, with dramatic announcements on that front possibly coming next week.”

More than 200 women have now come forward to the Survivors group to say they were sexually assaulted by Fayed.

Investigators — officially working with 37 women — are now actively probing more than 60 claims.

Numbers have grown since dozens told BBC Two investigation Al Fayed; Predator At Harrods, aired last week, that they were assaulted or raped.

One woman, Kate, yesterday told how Fayed lured her to his apartment on Park Lane in central London, and raped her when she was 16. Kate — not her real name — had recently started working at Harrods. She said: “He tried to pressure me into having sex with him, but I kept saying no.

“He became angry, the doors were locked and I couldn’t get out. He raped me.”

She has become the sixth woman to publicly accuse Fayed of rape.
In a statement issued yesterday — a week after the BBC documentary — former Harrods MD Michael Ward expressed his “personal horror at the revelations that have emerged”.

He added: “We have all seen the survivors bravely speak about the terrible abuse suffered at the hands of Harrods former owner Mohamed Fayed. We failed our colleagues and for that we are deeply sorry.

“As someone who has worked at Harrods since 2006, and therefore worked for Fayed until the change of ownership in 2010, I feel it is important to make it clear that I was not aware of his criminality and abuse.”

He added that Harrods was now “unrecognisable” from its past and that the department store has set up a settlement process.

‘Wall of silence’

But a source close to the investigation — headed by barristers Dean Armstrong KC and Bruce Drummond — said: “Why won’t Mr Ward answer questions?

“This statement is a week late and suggests that he heard nothing and saw nothing.

“If that is the case, why doesn’t he come out and do an interview? Survivors of Fayed are angry at what they see as a wall of silence around this case. Now it seems like the first person to say something did not know anything.”

Women who say they were subjected to medical examinations — with results fed back to Fayed — have also complained about Dr Coxon to the General Medical Council, we can reveal.

Fayed victim Kate also told yesterday how the medical exam-inations included checking for STIs including HIV.

She said: “It was organised for me to see Dr Ann Coxon for a company medical.

“It was sold to me as a perk. I explained that I had not become sexually active yet and it was unnecessary.” She said Fayed later discussed the results and questioned her “purity” — before later raping her.

She added: “Dr Coxon had given him the all-clear he needed.”

A GMC spokesman described the alleged cases of sexual abuse by Fayed as “horrifying”.

They added: “If we identify any potential fitness-to-practise concerns about individual doctors, we will thoroughly examine all relevant information and take action.”

A spokesman for Justice For Harrods Survivors confirmed that “several of the new enquiries received since last week’s press conference relate to Fulham FC under the period of Fayed’s ownership”.

London’s Met Police yesterday said it had identified 19 allegations against Fayed between 2005 and 2023. Three were of rape and 15 of sexual assault.

They said they had approached the Crown Prosecution Service five times — three times for advice, and in 2009 and 2015 with evidence.

The force revealed they had now received new allegations against Fayed, but would not say how many, and urged more women to come forward.

It added: “We must ensure we fully explore whether any individuals could be pursued for criminal offences.”

Commander Stephen Clayman said: “It is vital that any victims have a voice and are able to report any allegations if they have not done so before, and know that they will be taken seriously.

“We will do everything possible to update on our progress, but it is crucial we do this thoroughly and we do it right.”

Harrods said it would be “inappropriate” to comment while it is independently examining claims.

A spokesman for Fulham FC said: “We remain in the process of establishing whether anyone at the club is or has been affected by the reports concerning Mr Fayed.

‘In the meantime, should any person wish to share information or experiences on this, they may contact the club at safeguarding@ fulhamfc.com or through the police.”

West Ham are going backwards under Julen Lopetegui – Hammers are at risk of slipping into insignificance

ROUGHLY two minutes before the end of an easy night’s work, Liverpool reserve keeper Caoimhin Kelleher strolled behind his goal and took a sip from his bottle.

A rough Cockney voice just a few yards away in the Anfield Road End called out: “Why are you thirsty? You ain’t done s**t.”

Julen Lopetegui has had a rough start to life at West Ham[/caption]

He has won just two of his first seven games[/caption]

The Irishman laughed along. He could afford to, because his mix ’n match team on Wednesday night had become the latest to stuff West Ham.

Having been taken apart by an average Chelsea team four days earlier, West Ham’s response was to crumple from a winning position.

They shipped five goals and ended the game with ten men thanks to the indiscipline of Edson Alvarez.

Since Julen Lopetegui took charge of the Hammers, they have won two of seven games. The Carabao Cup is over after two rounds and they sit 14th in the Premier League table.

Losing matches is not unusual for West Ham, particularly at Liverpool.

But what is concerning to many more than the 6,000 who made a 400-mile round trip from East London, is the fear of a slow rot taking root in their team.

It is barely a year since former manager David Moyes skipped along a touchline like a spring lamb gambolling through a meadow having clinched the Uefa Conference League trophy.

It seems more than 478 days ago since that heady night in Prague when then captain Declan Rice lifted silverware with a traditionally flaky club on the cusp of building something big to reflect the vast stadium in which they play home matches.

Instead, as Lopetegui plots his way out of the current malaise via Brentford tomorrow, there is a sense that West Ham are going backwards, slipping into insignificance.

Fading and dying as the taunting Chelsea fans sang with great joy time and time again to an empty London Stadium last weekend.

From being within touching  distance of making serious inroads into the top six of the Premier League, it will soon fall apart unless Lopetegui can turn it around.

And all just as the board of directors approved the removal of virtually all concession-priced tickets for kids and OAPs. As marketing strategies go, it ain’t great.

Spaniard Lopetegui was brought in to move on from the Moyes era, which, in many people’s eyes, had become stale and past its sell-by date.

There were, of course, some spectacularly awful results in the Scot’s final campaign last season. Ironically, December’s 5-1 pummeling in the Carabao Cup at Liverpool.

The difference being that last year’s humiliation was sandwiched between a 3-0 win over Wolves and a 2-0 victory over Manchester United.

West Ham were also competing in the Europa League. B-list domestic cups like the Carabao were expendable back then. They won their group in Europe last winter.

West Ham have worst stadium in Premier League

By Andy Dillon

All that has been achieved under David Moyes has made West Ham forget that they have by far the worst home ground in the entire Prem.

A stadium totally unfit for staging regular football matches.

One that can work on big European nights when the fans have electrified their voices in the nearby Carpenters Arms before kick-off.

But one which drains your soul during routine home games against the likes of Burnley or Everton.

A home ground where giant trampolines separate fans from the action.

With temporary seating and scaffolding trying to bring the players and crowd closer.

When West Ham are playing badly but winning, issues with the rented stadium are pushed aside.

If they are playing badly and losing, the whole festering sore surfaces and the frustration will be aimed once more at chairman David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady.

It wasn’t long ago that fans were invading the pitch, that 8,000 protested against the owners, that Sullivan was hit in the eye by a coin thrown from the crowd. Moyes has been an effective human shield with his consistent, if not entirely pretty, brand of success.

This is what incoming boss Lopetegui has to contend with.

Read Andy Dillon’s full column here.

Lopetegui is there to herald a more open, dynamic and adventurous approach to football in comparison to pragmatic Moyes. It’s certainly been that — for the opposition at least.

Picked off by Chelsea. Pulled apart by Manchester City. Lucky at Fulham with an equaliser six minutes into stoppage time. A heavily rotated Liverpool team scoring at will by the end on Wednesday.

The lifelessness of the performance at home in a London derby against a vulnerable Chelsea side the week before was especially worrying.

It harked back to the insipid, weak, worst days under Manuel Pellegrini when the top teams lapped up the wide open spaces of the former Olympic Stadium and regularly rolled in fours and fives for fun.

West Ham have a nasty habit of almost getting there and touching the sun before falling away.

After their fabled third-place finish in the old Division One in 1986, they finished 15th, 16th and were then relegated.

Having won the FA Cup in 1975 they slowly but surely sank out of sight, dropping into Division Two in 1978.

However, in those times, it wasn’t financial Armageddon to drop out of the top flight as it is now.

Having spent £30million more than Arsenal, £87.5m more than Liverpool and £106m more than Manchester City on players this summer, money needs to be made.

West Ham will have to go cap in hand to those OAPs and kids stumping up full price for a ticket now if they ever did go down.

Lopetegui retains the full support of chairman David Sullivan for now and rightly so in these unsettling but early days.

He even muttered an apology of sorts for his tactical blunder against Chelsea, which is something.

But Arsene Wenger once proclaimed that every football team mirrors the personality of its manager. It’s about time Lopetegui showed some.

King’s respect

Tyson Fury had some less than kind words for Anthony Joshua after losing a significant bet[/caption]

TYSON FURY claims boxing has not shown enough respect for Daniel Dubois, who retained his IBF world heavyweight title at Anthony Joshua’s painful expense.

The Gypsy King rapped: “He was world champion and everyone treated him like a bum.”

Yet Fury was soon complaining the result means he won’t cash in on a fight with Joshua, ranting: “That’s cost me £150million, the silly c***.”

How’s that for respect?

Keir just can’t win

Sir Keir Starmer can’t catch a break from cynics despite his genuine love for football[/caption]

KEIR STARMER’S choice of team is not to everyone’s taste.

But when the Gooner PM is pictured in the posh seats watching football week in, week out, shouldn’t it be that bit more reassuring that this country has a leader genuinely into the game?

Starmer’s response to the cynical smears about attending games in the VIP section is spot on.

Were he to sit in the stands at Arsenal, taking up four seats to accommodate his security, he would be accused of forcing out ordinary fans.

When he is invited into an executive box he gets caned for living the hi-life. Like Everton, he can’t win.

If there is to be a football regulator, I would rather have a committed supporter in on it, instead of someone who refers to our national game as “footie” and thinks a free-kick is something you give the working classes up the backside.

Glass half empty

Half and half scarves seem to be everywhere now[/caption]

FOOTBALL is now a game of two halves — of your scarf that is. They are bloody everywhere.

It was bad enough seeing dozens of the darned things at West Ham v Chelsea — once a feisty London derby, where the dislike between two sets of fans made the air crackle with electricity.

But word is they were even on sale for Brentford’s Carabao Cup tie with League One Leyton Orient last week.

One for the purists I think.

Chelsea United?

Only Enzo Maresca knows if Chelsea’s squad have turned a corner[/caption]

INTERESTING to see a gaggle of hooded youths infiltrate Chelsea’s dugout on Tuesday night.

But as I was about to hand over my phone and wallet to the fearsome-looking gang, I realised the group was made up of Blues stars that had not been named in the squad.

They included Jadon Sancho and Robert Sanchez and at full-time they all shuffled out to backslap their team-mates for a 5-0 win over Barrow.

A very public exercise in camaraderie to make it look like the players are as one?

Or a genuine act to nurture togetherness in an improving squad that has had its fair share of issues lately?

Only boss Enzo Maresca can really tell us.
