The now 60-year-old endeared Back To The Future fans worldwide with his portrayal of Marty McFly’s quirky father.

His character was pivotal for the films plot with Crispin bringing an unforgettable awkward charm to the role.

Back To The Future followed teenager Marty Mcfly played by Michael J Fox as he is sent back in time to 1955 by his scientist friend Doc Brown who is portrayed by Christopher Lloyd.

Marty must ensure that his teenage parents fall in love and return to his own time to save Doc Brown’s life.

It was an instant box-office hit and the film became the highest grossing film of 1985.

Despite the film’s massive success Glover’s career took an unexpected turn when he famously did not return for the sequels due to a dispute with the producers over salary and creative differences.

Since then the American actor has carved out a name for himself in Hollywood featuring in indie films such as Rivers Edge and Willard.

In 2022 the movie star bagged a role on Netflix’s hit series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities.

The actor is now set to star in the film Mr K. which will be released early next year.

The film follows a travelling magician as he becomes trapped in a hotel and can’t find a way out.

Crispin often takes to Instagram to update fans of his new roles.

In an previous post of a handsome looking Crispin fans were quick to comment on the actor’s youthful appearance.

“He was kinda hot in the first Back to The Future, so was Michael J Fox, bless both of their hearts,” one fan commented.

Another added: “Lookin’ good! You have gotten even better looking with age.”

“I do not understand how you’re not aging! You look wonderful!!” penned a third.

“You sir were my love 30 years ago and you look better now,” wrote a fourth.

The once clean-cut actor now sports long greyish hair and a more rugged look worlds away from the geeky buttoned-up George Mcfly of the mid-1980s.

Holly Willoughby shrugs off Phillip Schofield ‘swipe’ as she flashes her legs in stunning new shoot

HOLLY Willoughby has shrugged off Phillip Schofield’s ‘swipe’ while flashing her legs in a stunning new shoot.

Holly, 43, took to social media to share a beautiful image of herself in a dazzling pink dress which revealed her pins and featured a huge bow by the collar.

The grinning presenter could be seen holding some silver balloons against the backdrop of white curtains as she leant forward for the photo.

It was taken to celebrate Holly’s wellness brand Wylde Moon’s third birthday.

She opted for a minimal makeup look in the dazzling photo and pinned her blonde locks back, and the caption read: “Join our 3rd birthday celebrations with 20% off perfume, wax melts, diffusers and travel minis…Just wanted to say a huge thank you for having been such a special part of our journey. Here’s to more years of connection and beautiful moments ahead.”

Holly’s post comes after telly veteran Phillip Schofield, 62, opened up on his bombshell exit from ITV ahead of being sent to a desert island for Channel 5 documentary Cast Away.

Phillip discussed how he was forced to leave This Morning after 22 years following a fling with a much younger runner — and hinted at a lack of support from his long-time friend and co-host Holly.

He says in the new show, starting on Monday: “When you throw someone under a bus, you’ve got to have a really bloody good reason to do it.”

Phillip also appeared to mock the cringeworthy moment when Holly broached the subject of his departure on This Morning, as she bizarrely opened the show with the words: “Are you OK?”

He is seen having a family barbecue in the garden of his London home and handing food to wife Stephanie Lowe and their daughters Molly, 31, and Ruby, 28.

As he does so, he laughs: “If you’re OK, then we’re OK, and I’m OK . . . are you OK?”

Holly — who is never mentioned by name — is not the only target in the programme, which will run over three consecutive nights.

In another scene he appears to sever ties with his former employers ITV, where he worked for decades on a string of shows including Dancing On Ice.

He says: “I’m apparently 4/1 to do the other jungle programme (ITV’s I’m A Celebrity).

“Although my best mates host it, there are some channels you just won’t work for.

“There are just some people you won’t work for.”

He also blames himself in Phillip Schofield: Cast Away, which sees him forced to forage and hunt for food and water and live in a flimsy shelter on the beach.

Discussing his fling, he admits: “It was an unwise and unprofessional thing to do, I will be forever sorry. You know, I screwed up.

“I made a mistake, and I hurt the people around me.”

Seven items to always take to a UK holiday park – according to an expert

A HOLIDAY park guru who has visited dozens of sites across the UK has revealed the seven items he always packs.

Travel expert Robbie Lane writes in-depth reviews about holiday parks across the UK and he recently told Sun Online Travel the seven items he always has on hand.

Robbie Lane is the face behind the Holiday Park Guru, a specialist website dedicated to holiday parks

Robbie Lane is the face behind the specialist website, Holiday Park Guru and on his specialist website, the former BBC journalist writes detailed reviews of holiday parks in both the UK and Europe.

From adults-only trips to ski holidays and popular chains like Center Parcs and Butlin’s to little-known independent sites and budget-friendly breaks, it seems Robbie has covered it all.

He told Sun Online Travel: “Swimming trunks are essential, especially if there’s a pool.

“Even those holidaymakers who think they won’t swim, will quickly find that it’s a great to fill the time.

“Personally, I also like to take a changing towel and a pair of Crocs so I can waddle back to the accommodation rather than getting changed at the pool – although you may be more concerned about your style than me!”

Robbie also makes sure to pack a bottle of wine – or two – when he heads on his holiday park vacays.

This is because “onsite shops and restaurants at holiday parks tend to be expensive”.

To help keep holidays budget-friendly, Robbie recommends bringing food and drink with you, or ordering an online shop to coincide with your arrival.

He added: “If you are staying at a large holiday park then bikes or scooters are useful.

“Although, be sure to lock them up as they may go missing, unfortunately.”

To keep energy levels high for all those family bike rides, the Holiday Park Guru also recommends packing something to black out the windows in the children’s bedroom.

There are plenty of other miscellaneous items that always find their way into Robbie’s car, with the expert adding: “My wife laughs at me, but I always pack a few practical things to make the holiday easier, including a multi-socket extension – just in case we end up in a caravan without enough plugs.

“If it’s hot, then we bring a fan or two. Some caravans can get quite hot and stuffy as they aren’t particularly well insulated.”

Robbie’s final holiday park essential may seem a little unusual but it’s actually pretty useful.

He added: “Finally – and this is very peculiar – I always bring a can of WD40.

“You are living in quite close proximity in a caravan and I can’t bear it when a door squeaks and wakes everyone up so the first thing I do is oil the doors.”

Train smashes into broken-down car at level crossing as driver escapes just in time – sparking hours of travel chaos

Tragedy was just seconds away before the lucky motorist made a quick escape at Grove Ferry crossing, near Hersden, Kent.

Travel chaos ensued for hours after the vehicle malfunctioned in the middle of the tracks, as reported by Kent Online.

Chilling photographs of the wreckage revealed a crumpled red Nissan Qashqai, with the driver’s door swung open.

The flattened debris shut down trains between Canterbury West and Ramsgate, while services were also diverted via Dover Priory.

It is understood the lines reopened at around 5.20pm, more than three hours after the smash.

Thankfully there were no injuries.

A spokesperson for Network Rail Kent and Sussex posted on X: “We’re aware of a slow speed collision between a train and a car at Grove Ferry level crossing.

“Thankfully there are no reported injuries and our front line responders are working with Kent Police and British Transport Police to remove the car from the crossing.”

A spokesperson for Network Rail added: “Earlier this afternoon, shortly before 2pm, a train collided at slow speed with a car at Grove Ferry level crossing.

“The line was blocked between Canterbury West and Ramsgate, and the power to the electrified third rail was switched off while our front-line responders supported Kent Police and the British Transport Police in quickly and safely removing the car from the crossing and assessing the train and the level crossing for any damage.

“The car was successfully removed and the line reopened at 5.20pm, with train services having resumed and moving through the affected area at a slow speed, so there will still be some delays.

“We’ll be working over the weekend to fix the crossing and get the road reopened.

“We’re sorry to any passengers disrupted by this incident and thank them for their patience and understanding.”
