Inside Gary Barlowâs family life with his rarely-seen wife Dawn and their three children
GARY Barlow is happily married to professional dancer Dawn Andrews and the pair share three children together.
But the 90s heartthrob often keeps his family life private and away from the spotlight.
Gary Barlow is married to professional dancer Dawn Andrews[/caption] The Take That frontman was forced to pull out of two shows amid the UKâs severe weather[/caption]Gary, whose hits include A Million Love Songs and Forever Love, was yesterday forced to to scrap two scheduled performances last minute due to a flight cancellation caused by the UKâs severe weather.
The Take That frontman, 53, was set to perform aboard P&O Cruisesâ Iona on Thursday night but was unable to make it due to the ongoing travel chaos.
Fans were left devastated that Gary would not be performing â with many desperate to hear his hit songs.
Gary was quick to issue an apology on his public Instagram.
But what do we know about the musicianâs private and family life away from social media?
Garyâs professional dancer wife
The Rule the World singer is married to Dawn Andrews â a backup dancer who was on tour with Take That in 1995.
After five years together, the pair married in 2000, and have remained together ever since.
He previously revealed that he wanted to renew his wedding vows with his wife, as they approached their 22nd year together as a couple.
During a private audience with a select group of fans, he revealed:Â âIâd like to renew my wedding vows with my amazing wife. Thatâs Âdefinitely on the agenda.â
However, following the announcement, Gary joked that Dawn wasnât keen on the idea.
Asked by a fan what she thought of his plans, he replied on Twitter: âShe said ânot that again!'â
The loved-up pair seem to enjoy teasing each other with a bit of banter.
Gary exclusively revealed to The Sun his recent bleach blonde throwback style had prompted his wife to suggest he could be having a âmidlife crisis.â
The star confessed to dying his barnet in the striking shade in a final hairstyle fling because his locks are âdeparting.â
How many children does Gary Barlow have?
Gary shares three children with wife Dawn[/caption]Gary and Dawn had their first child, Daniel, in the year 2000.
Two years later, Dawn gave birth to their first daughter, Emily.
Daisy was then born in 2009.
His 24-year-old son Daniel appears to be a keen sportsman â with his dad recently sharing how proud he was of Daniel completing his first Ironman competition.
Gary wrote: âWe just couldnât be prouder of our boy â unbelievable amounts of training and determination â when you put in the work you get the results.âÂ
He also spoke about bonding with his son through their love of fitness.
He shared: âI love spending time with my kids.
âHereâs Dan and I having a Father & Son training session. Iâm very proud of my boy & his commitment to his fitness. Donât look at the difference in weights.â
Doting father Gary has also gushed about his incredible bond with his daughters.
In 2019, he posted a sweet photo of him hugging daughter Emily on her 17th birthday.
He captioned it: âTo my gorgeous Emily â wishing you a very happy 17th birthday. I love you so much and Iâm so proud of how hard youâre working at school. Youâre an amazing daughter and the very best sister.â
Emily is now 22 and works as a photographer.
Gary also shared a rare snap of his youngest child Daisy, 15.
The pop star flashed a big smile while posing with his two girls and wrote: ââMy girls,â with three red love heart emojis.
Gary and Dawnâs tragic loss
The couple were expecting a fourth child in 2012, a girl named Poppy, but unfortunately, Gary announced that the tot had been born stillborn in August 2012.
In a statement on behalf of the family, Gary said: âDawn and I are devastated to announce that weâve lost our baby.
Poppy Barlow was delivered stillborn on August 4 in London.
âOur focus now is giving her a beautiful funeral and loving our three children with all our hearts. Weâd ask at this painful time that our privacy be respected.â
In September 2018, he shared extracts of his forthcoming autobiography where he spoke about his grief for the first time.
He wrote in A Better Me: âAfter Poppy died, people wrote to me about suffering the same awful experience. Many had kept so much of it locked away in secret.
âIâve wondered about the value and purpose in sharing something so private, but Iâd have been denying Poppy her legacy not to. Maybe sharing our story will help others talk about theirs.â
Gary and Dawn work to keep their children away from the spotlight, and as a result are rarely seen with them in public together.

How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargainâŠ
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and youâll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Inside EastEndersâ Clair Norrisâ very glamorous off screen life worlds away from Bernie as she jets to Milan for weekend
BERNIE Taylor may be going through hell on Eastenders to get justice for her brother, Keanu â but actress Clair Norris is loving life.
The 26-year-old actress has been making sure she lives a far more glamorous real life away from the Square â and by the looks of her holiday pics sheâs succeeding.
Clair jetted off to Milan with her partner for a weekend[/caption] The star is best known as Bernie on Eastenders[/caption] The star later spent time at a luxury spa retreat to unwind[/caption]Last weekend, Clair and her partner of six years, Lewis Wood, flew to the magical European city of Milan for a mini-break, enjoying the sites, fresh pasta and spas.
Making the most of her time to unwind, Clair shared pictures from her break, beaming in a green floral dress as she soaked up the sun.
One photo saw her join the tourists for a picture outside the cityâs stunning cathedral, posing with her sunglasses on her head.
While Bernie is famed for keeping her hair up in a messy bun on top of her heard, Clair kept her brown hair kept loose over her shoulders.
The pair later grabbed cocktails in a bar overlooking the stunning Square.
Another picture showed Clair in a bathrobe as she posed with a drink in the Spa of Wonders â a wellness retreat whose motto is âWonder Makes Memoriesâ.
The QC Termemilano is built within ancient Spanish walls and mixes ancient architecture with an art nouveau spin, with treatments starting at âŹ74 per person.
Wading into the water, Clair seemed to be having a ball before heading out for the evening in the city.
Enjoying the culinary delights of the fashionable city, after some shopping, Clair and Lewis looked pleased as punch with their fresh meals.
Among their pictures, Clair shared a video of chefs hard at work making the fresh pasta, while Lewis looked chuffed with his massive pepperoni pizza.
Clair clearly seeks any opportunity she can to see the world when sheâs not filming on the Walford lot.
In the last year alone, the star has shared pictures on her Instagram boasting trips to Croatia, Prague, Barcelona and Iceland.
On screen, her characterâs life is far more bleak as she plays detective to get justice for Keanuâs murder last Christmas in the gripping storyline dubbed âThe Sixâ.
But she got more than she bargained for when Linda Carter finally came clean and told her the truth, leaving her devastated.
Bernie looks fabulous as she glams up away from the Square[/caption] The star enjoyed fresh pasta dishes with her boyfriend[/caption]Iâm a dog trainer & hereâs 3 breeds I donât recommend â including the pooch thatâs super dangerous to the average Joe
A DOG trainer has revealed the three breeds that he wouldnât recommend to the average Joe.
So if youâre looking to get a new dog but have never had a pooch before, then youâve come to the right place and will need to pay attention.
He also shared why he wouldnât recommend a working line Labrador[/caption] According to this pet pro, the average person is not âup to the challengeâ of owning a Pitbull[/caption]A dog psychologist who specialises in behaviour modification in pets, has revealed why working line Labradors are not suitable for first-time dog owners.
Sharing his advice online, the dog expert said: âThree breeds that are gonna make you never wanna have a dog again as an average Joe with no experience.â
So if you were thinking about getting a hound dog or a Pitbull, you may want to think againâŠ
Hound dogs
According to this animal pro, any kind of Hound dogs are not suitable for those looking to get their first dog.
He explained: âAny hound, not a domesticated dog, needs to live on a farm, needs to own 100 acres and needs to actually live a natural hound lifestyle.
âYou ainât got it as a city slicker.â
Working line dogs
He also advised that working line dogs are not suitable for those wondering which breed to get as a first-time owner.
He added: âAny working line dog, even things as lovely as Labradors, if you get a working line Labrador, you are f*****g royally f****d.
âWeâve trained loads of them.â
Pitbulls
The third breed that this dog trainer wouldnât recommend for first-time owners, which he claimed will âcome as a surpriseâ, are Pitbulls.
The content creator and animal pro explained: âAn average Joe should never own a Pitbull. Plain and simple.Â
âThey are a dangerous dog to an average Joe because they donât use the right form of communication, they donât exercise the dog enough and they get a breed that is not suited to their lifestyle.
Dog Owner Guide: All You Need To Know
Owning and keeping a dog happy and healthy is not only a long-term financial, but a lifetime commitment.
Nine facts you should know ahead of time:
- Why do dogs lick you?
- Is it legal to let my dog off its lead?
- Why do dogs sneeze when they play?
- Can I be fined for letting my dog hang out the car window?
- Will my dog be put down for attacking a human?
- What are the most dangerous dog breeds?
- When is it too hot to walk your dog?
- When is it too cold to walk your dog?
- How to stop a dog barking?
âI love a Pitbull, theyâre extremely easy to train if you have the correct mentality and the correct authority and discipline and routine.
âBut an average Joe should never own a Pitbull, should never own a working line dog and should never own a hound, because youâre not up to the challenge.âÂ
Big divide
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @cherryhoggs, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 192,600 views.
Most popular dog breeds in the UK
Dog experts, Tug-E-Nuff, surveyed the UK to find out their favourite dog breeds, here's the top ten.
- Labrador RetrieverÂ
- Border CollieÂ
- English Cocker SpanielÂ
- CockapooÂ
- Golden RetrieverÂ
- German Shepherd Dog Â
- Staffordshire Bull Terrier Â
- Springer Spaniel
- Jack Russell Terrier
- Labradoodle
But social media users were left totally divided by the manâs claims â whilst some couldnât agree more, others were keen to share their experiences in the comments.
One user explained: âYou gotta be READY for those dogs!!âÂ
A second chimed in: âI agree 100%.âÂ
Foods you can't feed your dog
Barbara Hanly, doggie wellness expert and founder of Soopa â healthy, plant-based dog treats â revealed what human food your pup canât eat.
- Chocolate:Â Chocolate contains theobromine, which is toxic to dogs and can cause anything from an upset stomach to seizures, depending on how much is eaten.
- Grapes & Raisins:Â Even a small amount of grapes or raisins can cause kidney failure in dogs, which can lead to severe health problems or even death.
- Onions & Garlic:Â These can cause damage to your dogâs red blood cells, leading to anaemia. Even small quantities can have harmful effects over time.
- Avocado:Â Avocados contain persin, a substance that is toxic to dogs, leading to vomiting, diarrhoea, and more severe health issues in large quantities.
- Macadamia Nuts:Â These nuts can cause weakness, vomiting, tremors, and hyperthermia in dogs, even in small amounts. Best to avoid them completely!
Whilst someone else wrote: âI agree with this .. these are not city dogs cooped up in an apartment.âÂ
However, at the same time, one person said: âPits are wonderful family dogs. They love kids.â
Another added: âMy Greyhound doesnât need 100 acres.âÂ
A third commented: âFirst time dog owner. Got a working breed Aussie shepherd.
âThings are going great cause I did my research. Whatâs the problem with working breeds?âÂ
