I’m building my tiny house on wheels using bargain buys… it has two storeys & a stove – it’s like Doctor Who’s Tardis

A WOMAN who built a tiny house on wheels using bargain buys has shared what it’s like inside her two-storey home, complete with a stove.

The YouTuber, known as Keitei Ventures, showcased her remarkable home in a recent video, which gained hundreds of comments from users who were in awe of her mobile property.

The savvy content creator revealed how she bought curtains from a charity shop to cut costs.

Keitei, along with her sister, installed the curtains inside the cabin by creating their own eyelets and fitting a metal bar to hang them on.

The YouTuber highly recommends those embarking on DIY builds shop around charity and thrift stores to get the best bargains.

The tiny mobile home includes a shower with running water, thanks to her completing the plumbing work for the property.

The YouTuber borrowed a few things from relatives, including a shelf to store her essential repair items.

Inside the DIY home, Keitei installed a breakfast bar for dining and working.

The tiny house on wheels is also fitted with an oven and a stove.

Surprisingly, the content creator’s small mobile home includes stairs, which are still a work in progress.

In the video, Keitei showcased the upstairs area, which features several windows that she had installed and fitted.

To build the tiny house she had to learn various crafts from scratch.

Keitei said: “I learnt how to clad, I learnt how to groove, I learnt about 12 Vol power, taught myself about plumbing, about woodwork and tools.

“But I have more or less enjoyed every moment of it.”

The YouTuber has revealed her excitement about completing the tiny house build and eventually moving in.

Despite, the gruelling work done by Keitei to finish building her mobile home, the content creator is eager to begin new-build projects in her channel.

Several of Keitei’s viewers left comments praising the work she had done.

One user wrote: “Epic journey, Epic tiny house, and Epic adventure for an epic woman.

“The timber lining looks great btw and the upstairs space improves the tiny home’s livability exponentially,” commented another.

While a third added: “Three cheers for the tiny house.”

It comes after a couple revealed how they managed to DIY their own remarkable 10ft tiny home to save themselves thousands of pounds.

Just a stone’s throw from London, actors Harrie and Joe have found a creative solution to housing prices which saw them build the property themselves.

During the nationwide lockdown, the pair found themselves with more time on their hands and so they decided to start building the 30ft by 10ft home.

Built using nearly all reclaimed materials, the couple found ways to cut costs further using Facebook Marketplace to source vital elements such as windows and doors.

They go on to reveal that whilst living in London, housing prices meant that they “couldn’t continue living the way” they “wanted to live” and that they were left “craving” their “own space.

So the couple’s solution was to build what they wanted themselves.

However, the build was not always smooth sailing.

Whilst Joe works as a stage actor, Harrie records audiobooks and needed to ensure she would have the space to continue her career.

Despite the limited size available and the plans being drawn on the back of an envelope, the couple have even managed to squeeze in a recording studio for Harrie.

With everything they need to thrive in such a small space, the couple have even started growing their own vegetables in the garden.

Are tiny homes legal in the UK?

TINY houses can be UK regardless of whether they are on a trailer base or not. The legality of tiny houses is all to do with where it is and what you use it for.

If you want to put your tiny house in the back garden of the home that you own, and the overall size of your tiny house  does not exceed 19.8m x 6.7m (65ft x 22ft), then good news! You do not require planning permission.

Tiny houses that fit within these dimensions and are constructed on trailer bases are legally classified as caravans, which means you can legally park them within the curtilage of your home without planning permission.

If this is your plan, then it is a legal requirement that you only use the tiny house as additional living space, like an office, a gym, or a studio, but you cannot rent out the space to a tenant.

For those of you who live on farmland, what is defined as curtilage can be complicated. In these cases, and under any circumstances where you are unsure, we recommend that you speak to your local planning officer.

You can put a tiny house on your land as a temporary structure for 28 days, but for any longer than this we recommend that you speak to your local planning officer as different permissions will be required.

Newcastle 1 Man City 1: Champions fail first test of being without Rodri as they drop points in Prem title race twist

ANTHONY GORDON celebrated committing his long-term future to Newcastle by scoring his team’s deserved equaliser.

And Manchester City failed the first test of being without Rodri for the rest of the season.

Pep Guardiola’s side had lost the last four Premier League games they had played without the Spain midfielder and captain Kevin de Bruyne, so in some ways this was an improvement.

But City were second best for too long in a physical, often heated encounter as the home side picked themselves up after Josko Gvardiol’s first-half opener and earned a point through Gordon’s penalty.

The former Everton winger is on the verge of signing a new deal to keep him at St James’ Park until the end of the decade.

And he was a menace from start to finish in this game.

Rivals Liverpool and Arsenal will be thinking it is now or never to end City’s run of four consecutive titles.

Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope made a smart save from Bernardo Silva in stoppage time but defeat would have been very harsh on the hosts, and very generous to the visitors.

Guardiola lamented that Rodri was irreplaceable but said he would do his best to find a way to cope with the resources at his disposal.

The City boss in fact made three changes, dropping Savinho and Jeremy Doku to the bench as well as bringing in Rico Lewis to play a midfield role alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Mateo Kovacic.

Newcastle, too, were missing a key player. Alexander Isak has broken a toe, and with Callum Wilson also injured, Howe asked Anthony Gordon to reprise the role as a central forward that he had played for England’s European Championship-winning Under-21 side in 2023.

Sandro Tonali, back from a very different kind of absence, made his first Premier League start of the campaign.

For most of the first half, it was a game of few chances but plenty of needle.

Newcastle started quickly, as had been their habit at home this season.

They were clearly targeting City’s left but the closest they came from open play was a Kieran Trippier shot that poleaxed Jack Grealish.

City looked less comfortable from set-pieces, and a couple of Newcastle corners could have ended up anywhere.

The home team’s pressing was not allowing the visitors much time on the ball. When City did break, Ilkay Gundogan miscued a shot and Trippier stopped Erlng Haaland stealing in at the back post.

Fabian Schar and Bruno Guimaraes were both booked for fouls but plenty of others went unpunished

Then City opened the scoring with the first moment of real quality in the game.

Grealish was slightly fortunate to beat Trippier after a heavy touch but his pass to Gvardiol was sharp. The left back turned inside Dan Burn and fired a precise right-footed shot across Nick Pope and into the net.

Moments later Newcastle almost gave up a second goal.

Gundogan picked off Pope’s pass to Burn but totally misjudged his attempted lob over the retreating goalkeeper.

Jacob Murphy’s fine run ended in a shout for handball but otherwise the home side barely threatened to hit back until stoppage-time.

Ederson saved smartly after a free kick fell to Joelinton and Trippier’s follow-up effort was blocked behind.

The second half started as a more open game. Schar headed off target from a Guimaraes cross and referee Jarred Gillett decided Kyle Walker’s untidy challenge on Harvey Barnes did not merit a penalty.

At the other end, the undercurrent of menace bubbled over when Sandro Tonali hit the deck after Grealish had shrugged him off aggressively.

Again, nothing doing, according to the officials on and off the pitch.

But Newcastle’s third claim was accepted. Guimaraes sent Gordon clean through and Ederson’s touch was enough to bring him down.

Gillett pointed to the spot, showed Ederson a yellow card, and Gordon sent the City goalkeeper the wrong way to level the score.

Incredibly, the home side were soon screaming for another penalty for Walker’s challenge on Joelinton. It was not given but Ederson immediately had to save from Barnes.

The champions were on the ropes and St James’ Park was rocking.

Challenges were flying in all over the place and a red card seemed to be in the post for someone.

City were looking the more likely to find a winner.

Pope had to be alert to stop Haaland latching on to a through ball and was then happy to see substitute Phil Foden shoot straight at him. Grealish’s cross was too fierce for Haaland to direct his header on goal.

Howe made a triple change, one of them enforced as Trippier picked up a knock.

Sean Longstaff came close to making the perfect impact but dragged a shot wide from Murphy’s cross. As the clock ticked down, Gordon came close to blocking an Ederson clearance in the City six-yard box.

The home fans roared when the fourth official announced seven minutes of added time.
But it was City who almost snatched a winner when Silva’s smart turn and volley was beaten away by Pope.
