Vintage clothing store Atika said they are scouring suppliers to keep up with demand for parkas with Oasis fans trying to recreate the look of swaggering front man Liam.
The store’s senior commercial manager John Howlin added: “Britpop was always a statement of swagger with a look over it’s shoulder to the British icon of the past.”
Online auction site eBay’s Amy Bannerman said: “The marketplace has seen a 400 per cent rise in parka searches.”
And there was a 30 per cent spike in haircuts sported by the brothers.
Tobias Bell, a hair stylist who specialises in alternative cuts, also told the style bible GQ: “If I do ten to eleven clients a day, I’d say at the moment at least two or three guys are mod cuts and I think it might be a lot more.
“I think I’ll be worked off my feet doing Oasis cuts up until the day they go on tour.”
Last month, tickets for the band’s 17-date reunion tour next summer sold out in hours.
They are set to announce North America tour dates today.
