7 days agoWorld LeaksComments Off on Fans love ‘humble king’ Josko Gvardiol as £78m Man City star arrives in tiny car with team-mates all in huge motors
FANS have dubbed Josko Gvardiol “humble” after he pulled up to Manchester City training in a Volkswagen.
Ahead of the game, City fans waited outside the club’s training ground to get a glimpse of their favourite players.
A video that has gone viral on social media shows the stars driving luxury cars from a Rolls-Royce Phantom to a Lamborghini Aventador.
But £78million signing Gvardiol was instead behind the wheel of Volkswagen Golf R.
Despite the vehicle being worth between £40,000 and £50,000, it is still considerably less than the supercars his team-mates have the keys to.
Gvardiol, who also stopped to give fans an autograph and photo opportunity, has been praised by supporters, with one saying: “My humble king. My kind of car.”
Another added: “If I have to judge a person by their car – Josko Gvardiol elite human being.”
A third commented: “All of them in 6 figure cars except Gvardiol.”
Ruben Dias is seen in a £350,000 Lambo, while John Stones and Ederson drive Rolls-Royce Phantoms valued at the same price.
7 days agoWorld LeaksComments Off on Angry Man Utd fans say ‘this is unbelievable, he must be sacked for this’ as new angle of Spurs goal shows ace ‘give up’
MANCHESTER UNITED fans have called for Diogo Dalot to be sacked after spotting a new angle of Tottenham’s opening goal.
The Dutch star pounced on a loose ball in his own half and surged through United’s midfield with ease, after beating Marcus Rashford‘s meek press.
Van de Ven burst past four United players to reach the byline before squaring a perfect low cross to the back post, where Johnson was on hand to tap into the empty net.
But Johnson was able to stride into the box unchallenged with replays showing Dalot failing do the basics by not following his man.
A fourth added: “How can you love a player who won’t do his primary job in the third minute of the game?”
Before another wrote: “He shouldn’t be wearing that jersey.”
One more said: “For someone as fast as Dalot is, this is unbelievable. He can see his man. I can’t get my head around what he’s doing here.”
Johnson immediately went to Van de Ven to thank him for producing one of the greatest assists from a centre-half in Prem history.
Former United full-back Gary Neville said: “Absolutely brilliant. One of the best runs I’ve ever seen from a centre-back.
“De Ligt starts off running too late and misreads the pace of the centre-back. It’s amazing and devastating.”
But ex-United right-back Danny Simpson was equally dumbfounded by Dalot’s lack of desire to get back.
He told MUTV: “I see the cross coming, and for Johnson to have that much space at the back post, I think it’s criminal.
“I think that’s Dalot’s position, I’m not sure whether he was inverted from midfield or at full back, and he needs to recover.”
Dalot has started every game from left-back this season, slotting in with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia still recovering from injury.
Man Utd ratings vs Tottenham
MANCHESTER UNITED suffered a 3-0 thrashing against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the first half for fouling James Maddison, forcing Erik Ten Hag’s side to play with 10 men against Ange Postecoglou’s team.
After back-to-back draws against Crystal Palace and FC Twente fans hoped United would redeem themselves against Spurs.
However, the match at Old Trafford quickly turned sour. Brennan Johnson scored early and things worsened when Fernandes was sent off allowing Spurs to extend their lead to 3-0.
And here is how SunSports Charlie Wyett rated the Manchester United stars.
Andre Onana – 5
Stood his ground to deliver a good save from Timo Werner who was clean through – no chance for either goal.
Noussair Mazraoui – 5
First in the refs’ book for chopping down Destiny Udogie. Could also have blocked Micky van de Ven for the goal. Just watched Solanke make it 3-0.
Matthijs de Ligt – 4
Shocking first half. Failed to cut out the cross from Micky van de Ven which led to the first goal.
Lisandro Martinez – 5
Switched off for the Spurs goal and was drawn to the ball and Johnson was left unmarked.
Diogo Dalot – 5
Gave the ball away in dangerous areas and struggled against Johnson.
Manuel Ugarte – 5
Suffered a stinker and was lucky to last until the 73rd minute.
Kobbie Mainoo – 5
Not one of his better performances and was taken off just before half-time following Fernandes’ sending-off.
Marcus Rashford – 5
Over-ran the ball for Tottenham’s first. Way off the pace.
Bruno Fernandes – 4
Arguably the worst captain in United’s history. Deserved red card for his challenge on James Maddison.
Alejandro Garnacho – 6
Had United’s only chance in the first half but hit the outside of the post. Improved in the second half.
Joshua Zirkzee – 5
Looked completely lost up front – threatening to be another poor Erik ten Hag signing. Replaced at half-time.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) flagged a number of concerns about the merger, which included fears that it could push up prices for customers.
It also launched an in-depth investigation into the merger in April over fears that it could “result in a substantial lessening of competition”.
This could mean that there are fewer providers to choose from, forcing customers to settle for more expensive deals than the ones they had previously.
The CMA also said that it had “concerns that higher bills or reduced services would negatively affect those customers least able to afford mobile services as well”.
Three and Vodafone have said the deal would help to improve network quality and provide faster 5G.
The latest promise not to hike bills has been put forward to ease the CMA’s concerns.
Both firms have said that they will continue to work with the regulator and the merger can only go ahead with its final approval.
What social tariffs are currently on offer?
The SMARTY social tariff is a low-cost unlimited plan and is available for new and existing customers who are on certain benefits.
It is offered as a one month rolling plan, which can be cancelled at any time.
Once accepted, you can keep the plan for as long as you are eligible.
For £12 customers can make unlimited UK calls and texts, 5G at no extra cost and EU Roaming up to 12GB.
How to save on your mobile phone bill
NOT happy with your current mobile phone deal?
If you’re outside the minimum term of your contract then you won’t need to pay a cancellation fee – and you might be able to find a cheaper deal elsewhere.
But don’t just switch contracts because the price is cheaper than what you’re currently paying.
Take a look at how many minutes and texts, as well as how much data you’re using, to find out which deal is best for you.
For example, if you’re a heavy internet user it’s worth finding a deal that accommodates this so you don’t end up spending extra on bundles or add-ons each month.
Also note that if you’re still in your contract period, you might be charged an exit fee.
Ready to look elsewhere? Pay-as-you-go deals are better for people who don’t regularly use their phone, while monthly contracts usually work out cheaper for those who do.
It’s worth using comparison websites, such as MoneySupermarket and uSwitch.com, to compare tariffs and phone prices.
Billmonitor also matches buyers to the best pay-monthly deal based on their previous three months of bills.
It only works if you’re a customer of EE, O2, Three, Vodafone or Tesco Mobile and you’ll need to log in with your online account details.
There’s also MobilePhoneChecker, which has a bill monitoring feature that recommends a tariff based on your monthly usage.
If you’re happy with your provider then it might be worth using your research to haggle a better deal.
There are fast eligibility checks and no credit checks.
To apply contact SMARTY and complete its short form.
These details will then be shared with the Department for Work and Pensions to confirm that you are in receipt of the eligible benefits.
The VOXI For Now is another tariff available to those receiving financial support.
If you are receiving government benefits then you can get unlimited data, calls and texts for £10 a month.
If you are eligible you will get the deal for six months.
After this point you will be switched to the standard £10 a month plan but you will still have access to unlimited social media, calls and texts.
There is no contract so you can change, pause or cancel the deal at any time.
To be eligible you must be receiving a benefit such as Jobseeker’s allowance, Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Disability allowance or Personal independence payment.
VOXI will run a quick eligibility check to make sure that you qualify before you are granted the deal.
The company has partnered with Moneyhub to run the security checks and confirm that you do receive government benefits.
The process is simple and Moneyhub will check your bank account for government benefits and will then advise VOXI if you qualify for the tariff.
Other providers such as EE and Vodafone also offer social tariffs.
You can find a full list of providers and rules on the Ofcom website.
Help if you are struggling to pay your bill
If you are struggling to pay your mobile phone bill or you owe your provider money then there are things you can do.
You may be able to switch providers or move to a different contract to get a cheaper deal.
Or if you provider has told you they’re increasing the price of your contract then you may be able to cancel.
Some providers will give you 30 days to cancel your contract without a fee if the price is going up.
Always tell your provider if you are struggling to pay so they can tell you about any support they have on offer.
Most providers will charge you a fee to leave your contract before it ends.
However, some providers will let you leave early without paying a fee if you are struggling to keep up with your payments.
