A suspect that led deputies with the San Bernardino County on a high-speed chase in northbound lanes of the I-15 Freeway finally surrendered after authorities deployed a spike strip and performed three separate PIT maneuvers.
The suspect was reportedly considered armed and dangerous after a robbery in Hesperia at 8:45 p.m., authorities told KTLA.
Around 10 p.m., deputies performed the first of three separate PIT maneuvers and successfully stopped the driver for several minutes before the suspect took off again with deputies right behind.
At least two more PIT maneuvers were performed before the driver stopped a final time.
Authorities then surrounded the vehicle and the suspect was seen crawling out of the driver side door and laying on the ground before deputies approached.
