Apprentice spin-off stars look unrecognisable over a decade after winning show – do you remember them?

THREE of The Young Apprentice’s winner are unrecognisable – a decade on from scooping the crown.

The spin-off of the hit BBC One business programme only aired for three series, producing just a handful of champs.

Zara Brownless was the show’s first ever winner and now lives in the US[/caption]

Just like the regular edition, it sees budding entrepreneurs battle against each other in challenges.

The winner of the competition would secure a £25,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar.

Essex native Arjun Rajyagor scooped the crown on the first series, having built a computer repair business at just 12 years of age.

Almost 15 years on, Arjun has used his brains for good – and by helping sick mum in the process.

She suffers from chronic back pain and medicinal cannabis helps manage her condition, but with obtaining a prescription is a long process.

Arjun teamed up with pain management specialist Dr Ilan Lieberman to create a new platform to streamline GPs prescribing cannabis from their own clinics.

Series two of Young Apprentice saw Zara Brownless win Lord Sugar’s investment at just 16.

Zara is now and award-winning scientist and is currently working at Google in the US.

According to her Linkedin profile, she’s been in her current role of Behavioural Science Consultant for over five years.

She’s also had her very own TED Talks and represented Ireland at the 2022 Women’s Lacrosse World Cup in Maryland.

South Yorkshire teen Ashleigh Porter-Exley was the BBC show’s last ever winner before its axe.

Lord Sugar had praised the then 17-year-old’s “utter graft” as he awarded her £25k.

Since the show Ashleigh has gone on to become the Queens Young Leader.

According to School Speakers, the award sets out to “discover, celebrate and support exceptional young people from every Commonwealth nation who are leading the way in transforming the lives of those around them”.

The Apprentice biggest moments

THE Apprentice has been a fan favourite ever since it burst onto the box in 2005.

Here we take a look at five of the biggest moments over the years on the hit BBC One show.

Tim Campbell – Former London Underground transport manager Tim Campbell won the first series of the reality show in 2005. He is now one of Lord Sugar’s aides on the show.

Sarah Lynn and James White – For the first and only time in the show’s history, both finalists were crowned winners in 2017.

Amy Anzel – Season 16’s fired candidate Amy Anzel was BANNED from the final celebration show, after a tit-for-tat exchange over Lord Sugar’s mocking tweets.

Michelle Dewberry – Telecoms consultant Michelle Dewberry won the second series of the show in 2006. However, after winning a six-figure job with Lord Sugar she lasted just four months before she sensationally quit.

Selena Waterman-Smith – We’re used to tensions running high in the boardroom, but in 2015 a disagreement between two candidates spilled over – for the first time – into a physical bust-up. Events manager Selina Waterman-Smith was given a verbal warning by show bosses for her role in an off-camera scrap with Charleine Wain.
