GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — An altercation occurred involving two inmates at a maximum security prison in Eastern North Carolina on Wednesday morning.
One was injured and transported by EMS to a local health facility. A weapon was recovered and charges are pending. Local law enforcement are investigating the incident as well as the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections.
New housing assignments are pending for both offenders.
