Ada Nicodemou has revealed how her Home and Away co-stars discovered her off-screen relationship with James Stewart.
The soap stars, whose characters are married on the Channel Seven show, were first linked earlier this year when they shared a kiss on Anzac Day before Ada confirmed their romance in a magazine interview.
Speaking about Mamamia’s No filter In the podcast, the 47-year-old actress revealed that she only told a small group of people that she was “close” on set before “word got around” about the couple’s off-screen relationship.
“I didn’t think I needed to tell anyone else,” she explained.
“We didn’t need a group email, people just worked it out.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ada admitted that the growing feelings for her TV co-star James, 48, were “weird” at first.
‘Jimmy and I have known each other for 25 to 30 years and there were no feelings for a long time. So I was shocked when I started having feelings,” she said.
“For the first time there was a chemistry, a spark that wasn’t there before and it was weird.”

In July, Ada finally broke her silence about her romance with James after months of speculation.
The lovebirds were first linked earlier this year when they shared a kiss on Anzac Day.
It has since been claimed that things are getting serious between the couple and that they are considering moving in together, but they have remained tight-lipped about their romance.
Ada confirmed she was dating her longtime co-star James in a magazine interview, describing their romance as “unexpected.”
‘Jimmy and I are together, yes. It’s still early days. It’s very recent and unexpected. I’m super happy. It’s really beautiful,” she told Stellar Magazine.
But she insisted their Home And Away characters Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan getting married on screen was not an early sign of their real-life romance.
The couple started dating after Ada split from her ex-partner Adam Rigby just before Christmas last year and James finalized his divorce from Sarah Roberts in March.
