‘Absolutely robbed’ scream Strictly fans as they slam judges over ‘unfair’ decision during dance off

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have slammed BBC show judges over an ‘unfair” decision during Sunday’s dance off.

Viewers have taken to X in their droves to complain about the outcome of the Halloween Week special, arguing one famous face simply “didn’t dance.”

The judges voted unanimously to save Shayne, meaning Dr Punam was sent home[/caption]

Strictly Come Dancing regulars have called out former Coronation Street star Shayne Ward, 40, after his Spooky Paso Doble saw him stay in the competition when he was unanimously saved by all four judges.

He battled it out in the final two alongside Dr Punam Krishan, 41, who danced a Tango with pro Gorka Marquez, 34, and was ultimately eliminated.

Yet some vented their fury at the outcome – stating Shayne’s quirky take on the Paso didn’t see him dance a step until 40 seconds in – and saw the spotlight fall too heavily on his dance partner Nancy Xu, 33.

One took to X to complain about his routine, to the tune In The Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg, and wrote: “Hey Btw? Shayne didn’t start dancing till 41 seconds into the song. Just saying.”

A second put: “Absolutely the wrong decision.”

A third insisted: “Hmmm, Shane didn’t dance?!” as one cheered: “Go Gorka!!… at least you danced!”

One then mused how Dr Punam was “robbed” and said: “Shayne only actually dancing in the second half of his paso.

“I choose dance over waving about for 30 seconds. Nancy please take note.”

Another quipped: “Shayne put through to next week for standing in middle of dance floor waving a stick.”

Others focussed on the amount of fancy footwork showcased by professional Nancy.

One added: “People do not like Shayne do they. Nancy needs to not take over the dance though.”

CLAP BACK

It isn’t the first time the actor and singer has been in Strictly’s dreaded bottom two.

Previously, the That’s My Goal hitmaker was forced to clap back after fans branded him “insufferable” and “cocky.”

Some had branded him “over confident” following his Samba last month.

He then issued a statement on social media to hit back at the haters.

Accompanied by a moody black and white photo, Shayne said: “Strictly is amazing and I love being part of it.

“But through my smile on TV I’m as nervous as the next person.

“Not cocky or overconfident… I’m nervous!

“I just gotta work hard and listen to my wonderful teacher Nancy Xiu. All I can do is my best!”

At the time, one person simply said: “He’s insufferable.”

His professional partner Nancy then also broke her silence as she supported the star.
