By just a few degrees, the added heat under the hood could warm up the inside of the car and make all the difference.
Those desperate to thaw out their fingers before gripping the steering wheel could even look to splash the cash.
In particular, a dashboard heater which plugs into a car’s power socket could be one good method of being able to direct heat around the interior.
While drivers could even aim the source towards other areas of their car as many portable options have multiple vents.
Anyone looking for the perfect Christmas gift for petrol heads could even opt for a windshield cover.
Preventing snow and ice off the front screen, the covers can also provide some insulation with many modern options offering an easy way to attach the material via magnetic edges.
Another hack on the list was an option anyone could try out if they own one common household item.
Those in possession of a heated travel mug could ensure they have a hot cup of coffee or cocoa on hand to ensure they stay warm.
