VICKSBURG, MS – Amazing Grace Restaurant is now open in Downtown Vicksburg. The soul food restaurant officially opened back in September where the Gumbo Pot was located on Washington Street.
“When the Gumbo Pot closed their location there we saw the opportunity to come in and try it out,” owners Anthony and Tabitha Collins said.
Amazing Grace serves a variety of soul foods alongside burgers, po’boys, gumbo pasta, and salads. The Collins family testified that the fried broccoli, gumbo, and the Collins Burger are their best-sellers.
“This place is a friendly environment and it’s a place where you come to get that food that grandma used to cook,” Anthony said jokingly. “We have a lot of people come in to just get the greens but we’re very family-oriented and we want everyone to feel blessed when they come in here.”
Amazing Grace also supports the Vicksburg High School football team with game meals.
Amazing Grace is located at 2001 Washington Street. They are closed on Mondays but open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday. They are also open from 11 am to 8 pm on Saturday and from 11 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
