(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said the National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for Monday, Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 a.m.
CSFD said it is expecting low humidity and gusty winds. FOX21 Storm Team’s Chief Meteorologist Matt Meister said wind gusts could exceed 35 mph in parts of Southern Colorado.
CSFD reminded the public that Colorado Springs and many surrounding areas are still in burn restrictions and are asking that people refrain from all outdoor burning.
