GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A person of interest has been found in connection with a fire late Sunday night in Greenville County.
Firefighters were called to a report of a house fire resulting from an explosion around 11 p.m. on Pine Drive in the Piedmont area.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, firefighters and deputies were able to get all residents out of the home. One person from inside the home was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and other fire related injuries.
The sheriff’s office is investigating the fire as arson.
A person of interest was found on the back of the property and was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries, deputies said.
That person was also wanted in Simpsonville on an attempted murder charge. Their identity has not yet been released.
