In 2019, then-Home Secretary Priti Patel ordered his deportation under the UK Borders Act.

But the anonymous crook was allowed to successfully appeal under European Convention on Human Rights rules.

He argued his removal would have a “serious physical, emotional and psychological effect on his family members”.

It means he is still in the UK.

Former Immigration Minister Mr Jenrick – MP for Newark – said: “This is yet another disgraceful example of why we must leave the ECHR.

“It’s protecting some of our country’s most dangerous foreign criminals – that’s not what it was set up for.

“We must leave and guarantee our own human rights domestically – but create a system that excludes foreign criminals and illegal migrants.”

During the appeal, the gangster’s lawyer introduced a “new matter” based on OAB’s mental health – and then said he was bisexual.

Judge Beg said deportation would “not have an unduly harsh effect on them”.

Yet OAB – who came to the UK aged 10 with his mother before they over-stayed their visas – was allowed to appeal to the Upper Tribunal of the immigration chamber.

And the body’s judges ruled his rights under Article 8 – respect for private and family life – of the ECHR outweighed public protection.
