Early voting turnout high in St. Louis area, 100K already cast ballots in-person

ST. LOUIS – Early voting for the November 2024 general election is off to rapid start in the St. Louis area.

Tens of thousands of voters across St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County have already cast ballots for the election as the first week of in-person absentee voting ends Saturday.

These are the most up-to-date totals from local election authorities in those three counties:

St. Louis County reports 78,495 voters have cast absentee in-person ballots as of Saturday afternoon.

St. Louis City reports 15,403 voters have cast absentee in-person ballots as of Friday afternoon.

St. Charles County reports 7,821 voters have cast absentee in-person ballots as of Thursday afternoon with an estimated 3,000 early voters on Friday.

As of Saturday, more than 100,000 in-person ballots have been cast across St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County.

On Saturday, FOX 2 noticed long lines for one St. Louis County polling place in Ladue. Voters lines extended to nearly 20 feet outside of the St. Louis County Library – Clark Branch. Many parents brought their kids to wait in line before casting an in-person absentee ballot.

Absentee in-person voting in Missouri runs through Monday, Nov. 4 through local election authorities.
