Dwyane, 42, now hosts the American version of British TV game show The Cube.

But he’s rated one of the greatest shooting guards in NBA history.

He won the title three times with first club Miami from 2003-2016.

Wade then spent a year apiece at Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers and back with Miami.

Gabrielle has now told of the special bond with her father Sylvester after sharing photos from a birthday get-together.

She wrote: “This past weekend we celebrated my Dad’s 80th birthday.

“My Dad has dementia. He definitely thinks @dwyanewade is still playing for the Heat but otherwise remembers quite a bit.

“He remembers all the great times he spent in Hawaii, so we brought some Hawaii to my Dad.”

Gabrielle explained that her father was diagnosed with dementia “a few years back” and earlier in 2024 was moved into a  place for memory care.

However, she stressed: “What dementia has robbed him of, his heart and soul have recovered.”

Gabrielle said he repeatedly told her at the party that he loved her and also asked if she was happy.

She added: “That interaction stayed with me all day and made me pretty emotional.”

Gabrielle, 51, wed Dwyane in 2014 after breaking into movies in her late 20s.

Supporting roles in “She’s All That” and “10 Things I Hate About You” were followed by a breakthrough part in 2000 teen comedy “Bring it On”.
